I love this idea! My grandparents (I have more than is traditional because my mom is adopted and we know both her biological and adopted parents + multiple marriages ect) have really lovely names! My grandmas are Loretta, Carole, Joyce and Rita Gianne and my Grandpas are Forest and Eugene Pearl 😍

I'm 42 and mine were Audrey & John, and Marion & Harold. Audrey's sister was Elsie. Marion had a twin called Harold - oddly - and lots of other siblings including a William known as Bill. Harold had lots of siblings, too. One was called Frank.

I’m only just 21 so not too much older than the teens, but i bet a lot of the love of Eliza stems from the popularity of the musical Hamilton - Eliza is on my 17 y/o sister’s list for that reason and I have Angelica (Eliza’s sister) on my list too :)

this is exactly why i started to love the name eliza!!! i never liked it before Hamilton but after listening to the soundtrack every day for months and hearing the name eliza being sung over and over i fell in love w it :))))

I’m surprised names like Delilah, Ophelia, and Heather didn’t make this list. A lot of names inspired by songs have been very popular with the young teens

i’ve also loved the name briar so much. it is a very strong yet beautiful name and i fall more in love with it each time i hear it.

It would be interesting to see how the teens taste in names changes as they age. I have an old list from a high school family development course and the names I like now (at age 33) are completely different than the ones I liked at age 16/17.

I really like Tobias Reed. One of the meanings is grass like plants that grow in wet places. Or Tobias Sherwood. It means bright forest.

My 9 month old girl is named Juliet Arabella. I was 25 when I had her earlier this year. It does get a lot of compliments :)

I’m 24 now, but at 16 my friends caught me with a baby names app on my phone! I was so embarrassed and said I had it because I’d been writing a novel and needed inspiration for my character names. So then I had to write a novel 🥴 Most of the names I found as a teenager have stuck as my favorite! Why I couldn’t just embrace my maternal nature and admit I was excited to name my kiddos beats me, but it was a really bad novel 😂

I'm 16 and among my friends names like Clara, Florence, Jade, Lola, Zoe and Harper are popular for girls and names like Noah, Theo, Leo as well as more classic ones like James are popular for boys. Also Eliza could be rising in popularity due to the success of Hamilton which is quite popular with people in my year (year 12) and omg i was so worried some of my favourite baby names would come up (one did, Cecily, but thats not my all-time favourite so we're good!

I’ve never heard Winneka before but I like it! Also liking the older names like Cecily and Eliza, and I love the goddess and nature names too. These are some great names! I had Juliet on my baby name list too. I love Winnkca and Selene! I love Freya and Aurora too, but we weren't able to use either of those. Looking forward to the boys list!

Aw I'm so sad I missed this one! I literally have a pdf - a lot of my boy names are either super traditional like Sebastian (and Oliver is actually my guilty pleasure) or super unique like Remy and Virgil. My girl names are all pretty rare I think so names like Arabelle, Evangeline and Rosella. A few are Polish (because I'm learning the language) eg Kasper, Felix and Apolyna. My parents think I'm crazy that I've planned this much at 18!

I started keeping name lists when I was a kid, and it's been interesting to see which names I've continued loving into adulthood, and which names I've changed my mind about. I've had such strong opinions about names since I was young. I always have a note in my phone dedicated for names.

Yessss please do a wild nature baby name list!! I looove all those names.

Coming from an 18 year old I can tell you that 90% of the people who love the name Eliza around my age got it from Hamilton.

I find that I really like names with long vowel sounds for girls. Eliza is one of my current favorites, along with Edith, Iris, Hazel, and Nicole.

Yessss!! I’m 18 and i started my list when i was about 14 and it’s now ridiculously long haha

i’m 16 and have an ever growing list of names!! some of my favourites for girls are adelaide, oakley, maeve, everley, haven and rosalie and for boys i love jasper, koa, reign, oakley and atlas🥰

I absolutely love this video and I'm totally impressed by these names. It had me thinking back to the names I loved as a teen. I always loved the name Stait (pronounced State) for a boy and no one I shared it with liked it lol. I also see alot of comments about Felicity which was on my list for a girl as a teen.

I instantly LOVED prairie! I have never heard that before and I am definitely adding it to my baby name list!! 😍

I also have a long list! Some of my favorites are Millicent (Millie), Scout, Linkoln, Boyd, Kit and Bee☺️

I saw this and grouped myself with the teenagers until I realised I'm nearly 28 😅

I loved this baby name list! I'm 22 and most of these names go straight on my list. Elizabeth has been on there since I was a little girl. Always used to call my dolls that name.

I have Elowen, Elliette and Selene on my list too and I’m 18 years of age!! I love how teens have very similar name preferences x My baby name list is full of unique name combos and I hope older people can get on board with these new names!

THIS IS AMAZING! I remember when I was younger, my favorite girl names were Ella and Alexa and for boys I loved Bennett! Funny enough, there is now a little Alexa and Bennett in my life!

Just turned 17, and had a list of names from around 5 (my mom said I have been obsessed with finding amazing names since my sister, Katelynn, was born!) My favourite names at the moment: Girl = Eden Lark + Leah Wren Boys = Levi Finch + Ezekial Martin (Obviously I like biblical themed names with bird middle names!)

I LOVED this idea of asking teens! I’ve had a baby name list since I was a teen too. Eliza and Winnie are still on my list at 26 years old. Juliet was my favorite new one here!! Can’t wait to hear boy names. My little brother and sister have the BEST baby name lists as teens.

A name I really like is Sabrina! You hardly ever hear it anymore. I am not in the habit of using the letter, "Z", but I have fallen in love with the name Zabrie. Sounds like Marie. I lovd the way it sounds and how it looks on paper. A cute nickname would be, Rie (Ree Ree).

Thank you! I recently discovered that John Milton wrote about a nymph, who used to be a princess, who drowned in the river Severn and who spends her eternity helping young girls in need near her river... obviously her name is Sabrina. It made me fall in love with my name. ❤️

sabrina has been my top girl name for three years now! everyone i tell always puts it down but i’m in love with it and will def be using if i ever have a daughter!! my baby boy list of names is so much longer than girls lol

I LOVE baby names! My favorite for girls are Remi Elise, Sawyer, Amalie, Emery, and Blayke. For boys I love Riley, Luca, Rowan, and Anders!
