I wish I was having a baby this year - so many great names to choose from! My absolute favourite you mentioned is Lilou 😍 I can’t believe I’ve never come across it considering I study French. I was trying to come up with some alternatives to Lily just the other day too and it’s perfect! And Quigley for a girl is just oh so cute, I never would have thought of that, major props 🤝 Can’t wait to see the baby names that defined the decade!

My Gran's name is Gweneth which I think is lovely. I thought that gypsy was considered an ethnic slur? Icelyn reminds me of the name Iselin, which I love. Lovisa is is brilliant but here in Australia also a jewellery brand. Magenta is sooo striking, always makes me think of Rocky Horror Picture Show! Marcheline was Angelina Jolie's Mum's name too. Your Husbands home town sounds very Midsommar-ish! :-)

Gypsy is considered a name and I have seen it in baby name books before now. I also personally have met two people called Gypsy, one a school friend and one a work colleague. Both lovely people. You can get Romani Gypsies and also Irish Travellers are sometimes called Gypsies. My family on my fathers side has Irish Gypsy Heritage and proud of it. I don't believe it is offensive. There is even a superhero called Gypsy in DC comics who fights alongside Batman and Superman in the Justice League.

In Hebrew, Simcha is pronounced “sim-kha” with a soft, almost breathy, guttural “K” sound 😊 which I personally think sounds a bit prettier.

So many lovely options! I’m pregnant with a little girl named Primrose, and she will be called Posy as a nickname. I prefer the Posy spelling personally. And I’m in team Story! Gorgeous!

I love you SJ you make me so happy to watch you’re the sweetest. We are going to start trying for our first baby in the new year and thanks to you my list of baby names is insanely long already. Have a fantastic new year and thanks for always giving me ten to twenty minutes of pure excitement for the names you come up with. In the new year I’d love to see some strange names like game of thronesy Witcher lord of the rings type names especially for boys I have a terribly hard time with boys names!!

My name is luca and its actually pronounced loo-tsa. Its Hungarian and is a feminine name there. In school whenever they read my name off a list they aways pronounced it wrong and thought I was a boy 😂 Iike it now tho cause its pretty different

my cousin is called oceana it’s pronounced osi-ana and oc (pronunciation osi) as her nickname

I knew a Xochitl...She was adorable and went by “soh-chee” - so cute!!

I'm an author and I love watching these videos as name inspirations. I just did a book featuring a boho character. Her parents were hippies and named their baby girl "Duckling" or "Ducky" as a nickname.

Dulcie, Lovisa & Gaia were all names of girls in my last class that I taught! It was the first class I’ve taught where none of them had common names. They were all old names or ones I hadn’t heard before. You hear so many lovely names as a teacher! Love it 💗

🤣 love of names started young. Glad I’m not the only one who named their pencils! Love magenta. If I have a girl, it needs to be a flower name as my eldest asked “if we have a baby girl can we call her flower” I like shoshana, (sho shay na/Shosh hanna) but can’t see hubby agreeing with me on that one. It means lily/rose in Hebrew. My wedding flowers were white roses/Calle Lily’s/ivy

I have a cousin called Adeline but it is pronounced a bit like the name Idalina. She spent the first three days of her life having it pronounced "Add-uh-line" but since my aunt is German they decided to use the German pronunciation which is "Add-uh-lean-uh" and I think it's quite pretty!

Kim Groves my grandmothers named is hope and her sisters name is faith and she complains everyone thinks they’re so original when people get them matching things with their “name” on it but really it’s just random house decor if that makes since lol, but I love the name. It’s so sweet and short😊 good name choice!

You might like my older sisters name. Her name is "Romanette." My dad met a gypsy princess in his country in South America and her name was Romanette and my father fell in love with that name ever since so when he and my mom had their first daughter that was the name he gave her. Also since you mention French I always thought it would be neat to meet a girl with the famous artist name "Monet" As her first name. anyways have a good year in 2020 for another new beginning. Oh also my younger brother have a unique name as well, my father also named him. His name is "Romauld" you pronounce it like this Rome-walled.
