    The Celtics getting rid of Kyrie was the best thing to happen to them. It allowed Tatum and Brown to flourish. The Grant Hill trade did as well with Ben Wallace. Him getting traded to Detroit caused him to become a formidable defensive force and he was the defensive anchor of Detroit during the early 2000’s. As for Hill if it wasn’t for the injuries, he could’ve lasted a lot longer in Orlando.

    One thing I've always liked about that 2018 ECF Game 7 between the Cavaliers and Celtics, is that BEFORE the game started LeBron said "I'm not sitting down at all during this game. I'm staying on the court the ENTIRE time". Then LeBron ACTUALLY ended up playing all 48 minutes and the Cavaliers ended up winning by 8. LeBron would have been DEVESTATED if he lost that game.

So with the addition from Jrue Holiday And other key role players , they won the 2021 finals ! would love to appreciate the video Andy !

Not sure too many GMs/coaches would have traded what they did for guys like Ben and Rip or given Chauncey, who had already been on about a half dozen teams, a chance. Grant Hill is a little unfair, his best co-star during the 90s was old Joe Dumars and that ankle injury ruined any chance the Magic had to become anything. Traded from the Suns to Knicks mainly to make offseason moves to sign Steve Nash. Suns become perennial playoff contenders, become the best offensive team in the 2005 season and Steve Nash wins back to back MVPs. Stephon Marbury while an entertaining and skilled player in his own right, never elevated his teams to compete in a playoff level.

    paul george was averaging 28 points while being 3rd in DPOY rankings. westbrook was averaging a triple double. they finished 6th in the western conference, and lost in 5 games in the first round of the playoffs. they were traded for CP3, and a couple of young talents, and finished FIFTH in the western conference, had a 0.2% chance of making the playoffs, made the playoffs and pushed a Harden led rockets to 7 games. 7 games into the first round was more than russ had ever accomplished on his own without durant. crazy how much people overrate russ. cp3 was 34, presumably 'washed', and had a FAR worse roster, and still led okc deeper into the playoffs that russ had ever on his own.

    The Bucks got better without Jabari Parker. I know this doesn’t seem like the best example but remember he was averaging just over 20 points for a team that was 22-30 in 2016-17. The same game Khris Middleton came back from a hamstring injury, Parker went down with another knee injury. However, the Bucks finished that season 20-10 with Giannis and Middleton and played a tough first round series against the Raptors. The next year, it was clear that the knee injuries were going to prevent Parker from ever reaching his full potential. That being said, the 2016-17 season proved the Bucks were a better team without Parker and he wasn’t going to be part of their future plans.

    Ewing gets such a bad rap. No way they would have gotten through Miami in 99 without him and Van Gundy would have given his left nut to have Patrick available to go up against Duncan and Robinson in the Finals.

    Thunder vs Rockets I actually wanted OKC to win, because it would have been funny. Rather than fizzle out the end of his career on a lottery team, Chris Paul and the OKC making the playoffs and beating the team that just traded him and the player they traded him for while OKC beat the player that just left and the team he left them for, would have been funny.

    How about the Cavs when they traded Collin Sexton? The Cavs finally started to look good after LeBron left the 2nd time. They were doing great, then Collin Sexton gets injured. They started playing even better. They eventually because a playoff caliber team. Then they traded Sexton, and they got even better.

    Demar should be number one easily because the raps won the chip right after he got traded. That should be a low blow to any players ego.

  • @soob9178
    @soob91782 ай бұрын

    I think in the regular season, the raptors were clearly better WITH Demar than without him. But in the playoffs, he would regularly wet the bed and I felt many times the raptors played better without him because if he wasn't making shots, he was a huge defensive liability and blackhole offensively. He was very inefficient in the playoffs. But obviously you can't just bench your franchise player. Love Demar though, and so does the whole raptors fanbase, he's been nothing less than a professional despite all the criticism he got. Unfortunately the legacy of that era was being crushed by Lebron and underachieving by losing against the Nets and the Wizards as well. However, making the conference finals at the time was a huge accomplishment in Raptors history.

    just like any skill, you need iso players as well as ball movement. when defenses clamp down, that ball doesnt' move so well any more. that's when you need your iso players to step up and punish the otehr team. going full ball movement isn't good either cause then the ball gets forced into the hands of players that have no business shooting over some one who shoots 45% from 3. and a ball that is constantly in the air is easy pickings for steals.
