There are some people comparing Killian Hayes' career trajectory to Ricky Rubio but I think that's insulting to Rubio IMO the guy has multiple seasons scoring at least 10 ppg and also having multiple seasons having 8apg he's also a starting caliber PG in the NBA most of his career

Rubio is way better than Hayes at PG...He is a pure floor general. Killian is lost in his roles but maybe not entirely his fault being on a really bad team.

I mean statistically speaking he’s not that far off from Ricky Rubio. He needs to get his points up but Rubio wasn’t the most efficient player either. He shot 38% for his career. Those aren’t unattainable numbers for a guy like Hayes.

Patrick Williams is another example of Bulls doing a poor job of developing young talent. Markkanen, and Kris Dunn never improved while they were here, and it took five seasons for Coby White to become a solid starting player. Pat Williams and Ayo Dosunmu’s development mirrors that of Markkanen. Dalen Terry hardly played his rookie season and is now averaging about 10 mins a game his sophomore year. Zach Lavine is the only success story the Bulls have but I would argue that he came pretty developed already he just needed a team where he would have more touches of the ball. Something tells me the reason AK doesn’t blow it up and rebuild is because he either doesn’t have confidence in his ability to draft or (the more likely reason) he doesn’t have faith in developing young players

Its hard to say Davion "killed" his team - Or is even the worst person on the kings. He's still an amazing defender, and was really great in the playoffs, hitting a dagger in game 2, and in that game holding Curry to shooting splits that would make Killian Hayes blush. The issue is that the Kings are a guard heavy team, and that his best upside being defense is kinda negated by the fact that Keegan Murray is also becoming a high level defender, who can handle the ball just as well and is way better as a shooter. Davion's numbers, along with his minutes, have been steadily going up.

Williams is the type of player many teams want next to their stars. He's not the star that a top 4 pick should be, but he's the epitome of three-and-D. His three point percentage is elite, and he's a good defender. He has some similarity to Finney-Smith, though he's a better shooter and hasn't developed as well on defense. He's young enough that he could still get much better, but even as is, many teams would love to add him in the mix.

The biggest issue in Killian is that he is chucking up shots and always make bad decisions. He will be 23 this upcoming offseason. He is chucking up shots after shots and then has tunnel vision and struggles to finish the rim or make passes to his own teammates. his defense is also a liability as he is just an average defender due the lack of lateral quickness which will hurt the team even more. Now anytime if any teams is being guarded by him they can just dribble through his glaring weakness which is mentioned on his defense.

He has a lot of issues the reason why he chuck up shot is because hes a weak shot creator. His handle is very weak and hes not athletic slasher so he struggles to score in isolations. So hence why hes basically chuck up shots. And is jumpshot needs work

A couple of these guys are defensive specialists who are bad only on one side of the ball. Hayes, for example, is actually a good and versatile defender, which is a big reason why he gets minutes. He also is a decent table-setter and play caller. As was mentioned, he can run the pick-and-roll. As bad as his offense has been, he has improved every year, which is another sign that he could carve out a role in the league. His rookie contract is almost done, so what's left of this season really will affect his future in the NBA, or lack thereof.

Cam Reddish has been balling as a Laker. Its not his fault the team has needed him to be the 5th best player on the team, when hes at best the 8th/9th guy off the bench. You bring him in with the second unit to make some plays on the defensive end and keep that team energy up.

Two months down the road and Scoot has already improved a lot. He still makes a lot of mistakes, especially when it comes to not fouling... he REALLY loves bear hugging and holding the guys he's defending once they get him into the paint. Though I will give him some credit, as he seems to be making noticeable improvements there as well. Scort doesn't irk me, I'm neutral on him and his play. But Ant? I will always have endless fodder to slander him with. #BURNANT sincerely, a Blazers fan

He told lies of omission on Cam Reddish. His analysis was incomplete and lacked context. Cam Reddish was starting to fill out his potential when was with the Hawks. He was on his way to becoming a solid starter until the poorly ran front office traded him for... Kevin Knox II...🤦‍♂️ Since being traded injuries and lack of confidence have halted his progress. Now that he's with the Lakers his only job is to play defense that's why his stats don't seem that significant.
