Giannis let Tucker to guard him even on the last possession that would've cost his team a series against an injury-depleted Nets team. Glad that the Lady Luck was upon him that night that Kd happened not to hit a 3 or else it would be a downright embarrassment for Giannis to lose that series.

If we actually break down their games Hakeem is a comparable if not better rim protector, much better perimeter defender, is a better post scorer and a similar passer. Duncan’s only advantage is his pretty significantly better longevity so if you value that highly then he has a decent argument but he’s not a full tier above Hakeem. Shaq was the better player during the three peat and he undoubtedly peaked higher, in my eyes it just didn’t work out for him in other years but he was probably the best in the world for most of his career.

Kawhi had a legacy defining run a year after he made this list. Not much besides a potential break out star really happens each year. -but in 3-4 years maybe a new dynasty was formed after one fell, a new dominant player has come out and started putting up amazing numbers. So yeah I think every 3-4 years is perfect. 10 years is way too long. A whole dynasty will have come up and fallen in that time, maybe even 2 dynasties.

One title and 2 MVPs by age 30. Hmmmm. Why don't we check in with Kareem, magic, larry, Jordan, Tim duncan, Moses Malone, I can keep going all day if you'd like. I think there might be a little bit of a recency bias here on this. I am not at all denying the greatness of giannis. I think he is absolutely phenomenal. However I think we're over hyping him a tiny bit and forgetting our NBA history. I think by the time all is said and done, there's a good chance that he'll be in the top 10 of all time. But as it stands right now, one title and two MVPs, defensive player of the year, by age 28 or 29, isn't enough to make him stand out from the rest of that crowd. But at the same time it puts him in some absolutely incredible company. But I don't think we should be gobsmacked at what he's accomplished when tons of other players have done it before him.

Your first sentence doesn't even make any sense, literally no sense at all. I know we live in the age where children like you have forgotten how to answer telephones and be polite and use grammar and functional life skills like that, you should try it sometime, it will make everything a lot better and a lot easier. You missed some pretty simple things, that were right there in front of you so you obviously just skipped over them or haven't learned how to read yet: "by age 28 or 29"....."before age 30". These are THINGS THAT ARE TRUE, Alex, for $400. You asked me to name people, even though I already had. And will again, check in with Bill russell, check in with Tim duncan, check in with kareem, check in with magic, check in with Larry, and yes the dpoy wasn't even a thing when some of these guys were doing it and certainly Larry Bird wasn't the best defensive player in the league, but having won MULTIPLE championships, MVPs, rookie of the Year, finals MVP etc, by the same age is pretty damn close, just because he's got one other award doesn't mean that he's suddenly lapped the field. You have the balls to call me a casual when you can't remember that guys in your own generation, have done this much less the old guys. Go look up Oscar Robertson. So yeah he doesn't have the finals MVP or the championship because he was on a horrific Cincinnati team, but he was averaging a triple double, destroying record books, winning MVPs etc. You won't find an NBA historian that thinks that Oscar isn't on at least the same plane if not above giannis. I'm sorry if I ruffled your feathers, and I'm definitely sorry you took your mouth off his nuts long enough to come down from the high horse that you have no discernible reason to reside on. Just because I pointed out things that are factually true, doesn't mean that you should ignore all reading and reading comprehension and miss the point where I acknowledge his greatness. I'm not bad-mouthing him at all, I'm just pointing out that the original post use a ton of hyperbole went over hyping the guy. He's great!! but it doesn't mean that his greatness makes him suddenly so much greater than other league greats.

@@amosstarkey485 Ok . . . so KD 12-15 let's revisit that. So in no order the top 11 should be: MJ, LeBron, Kareem, Magic, Kobe, Bill Russell, Tim Duncan, Wilt, Shaq, Larry Bird, and Steph. Ok so number 12 has to be KD right . . . well no cuz I'm not putting KD over Hakeem, ok so 13 right??? wrong again if you actually look at tier 4 there are a couple of guys there most if not all people should have over KD. Dr. J, D-Wade, and Zeke Isiah Thomas was also better than KD. Which by my math means he should be at best 16th best player and I'm not about to let you disrespect the Logo Jerry West like that. Soooooo in reality KD's about the 17th best player of all time (as of us typing about this). Because Giannis isn't done, Luka's career's just starting, and who knows if Jayson Tatum/Jimmy Butler/Nikola Jokic win this year's title maybe they'll have a valid case over KD. Jokic's case in particular would be very interesting 1 title vs KD's 2 expired ring pops, Jokic's 2 MVP's vs KD's 1 MVP. But that's all conjecture so as of right now KD's the 17th best player of all time (at best).

This is one of the most accurate goat rankings I've seen in a long time. The video as a whole was amazing, love the work put into this.👍 However, in my opinion Tim Duncan should be put on tier two *Five rings *Three finals MVPs *Two MVPs *Fifteen time All-NBA *Fifteen time All-defence *ROY *Played nineteen seasons *Brought his team to the playoffs each year This is comparable to many players on the tier above. He was one Ray Allen shot away from being top three all time. In my opinion he has already surpassed Kobe, Bird, and Bill on the all time ranking. The difference between them isn't that noticeable though. Some people put him down though because he doesn't 'look' dominant or he had too much help. All great players need All-star help, look at anyone in the top 12 they all needed good teammates. Some players have brought bad teams to the playoffs but not many have won championships like that. Sorry for making this long but I hope people start ranking Timmy a bit higher. Somewhere around Magic and Kobe.

The thing is in a side by side comparison to the two on paper, James Harden falls a little short. Not a lot, just a little. James harden only falls short due to his performance in the post-season tbh. If Harden could've played longer, and be a consistent shooter, rather than trying to rely on drawing a foul to make a bucket, would've easily placed him Tier 3 no doubt. I'm not saying he isn't consistent when he takes good shots, but he would usually try to draw a foul to get to the line. It is just that little bit, which was why he had not made it to the pyramid (I think lol). A little longer and I believe he'll replace Barkley as long as he's healthy and building for a better post-season.
