At just 22 years old, he's competing in a league that's arguably more competitive than the one Michael Jordan faced. Let's not forget, even Jordan experienced significant challenges before embarking on his legendary six-title run. In fact, Jordan lost 359 games before😂 capturing his first NBA championship. This young talent has plenty of time to overcome obstacles and etch his name in basketball history.

Underrated part of Mike's game is that he was, quite literally, NEVER bad. The most consistent athlete maybe ever? In his 13 years with the Bulls MJ scored 10 or fewer points twice. That's 2 games out of 930. One of those games was coming back from the broken foot, the other was a blowout win against the Hawks in '97 where he played 3 quarters. He only scored under 20 pts in a playoff game 6 times and 3 of those were blowout wins when he didn't play the whole game. If you look at his game logs on Basketball Ref it's stupid.

Fun fact about Harold Minor/Michael Jordan: One of the sets of basketball cards I used to collect when I was a little boy had Harold Minor's rookie card (I think it was 1994 Upper Deck). On that rookie card, they had a picture of Minor in the background shooting a Jordan-esque fade away over the player in the foreground guarding him... Michael Jordan. There was a time when that card was the second most valuable card in the main set simply because it had Michael Jordan on the card. That was how much we all loved MJ. He was so good that when Iverson crossed him up and made him look uh, human for ONE play, that was the biggest news story in the NBA for a whole week.
I just don't think anyone's gonna truly ever top MJ. It's like the Beatles, it was the first time someone was that popular, that good, and had the mystique and star power. You only see it happen once.

As a Jordan fan in the 90s, and a Nuggets fan today, I can imagine I get to experience the same thing from the opposing side. Every time AE gets the ball, I am terrified.
Great video. I'm 43, and I want to confirm the gut feeling part. Indeed, watching Anthony Edwards sometimes gives you the same magical chills with that MJ feeling. Kobe, LeBron, and others, like 2019 Kawhi, offered some comparably admirable moments, but never that Jordan electrifying feeling. I wish Anthony continues on this path so today's teenagers can live a similarly exciting and enthusiastic era with the MJ "I wanna be like Mike" one in the following years.
Luka>>>>>>>>Edwards. Don't get it twisted.

@Iso_SSB I like your attitude, but that's not possible in this day and age. It's a requirement to talk bad about one player in order to make the case for another. And if someone disagrees with you, you call them a hater and say they don't know ball fr.
I’ve never seen a player so closely resemble MJ. Kobe was close but this dude is spot on, from his backdown fade to his smile. He’ll easily be the face of the league.

The second hand embarrassment
I’ve rewatched this vid multiple times now. I love this, less graphs and more story-telling. That speech at the end (13:55) was really great
I say this with all good intention. You make great videos about basketball and I love watching and have for a long time. I do however hope you are very in touch with your audience in terms of average age of your viewers. With no numbers to back it up I would assume it is mostly young males. The damage being done by the over advertising of these sports betting companies is absolutely insurmountable and infinite. It’s like if they started advertising crack on street poles in areas with large amounts of homeless people. It’s sickening to really look at the impact this is having right now and going to have on the next generation. I hope you see this and put some thought into what money drives you to do. Legal or illegal, paid well or poorly; addiction is what is being advertised.

word! gambling is so underrated when it comes to dangerous addictions.
A thought: I love these videos and always watch them, and the quality of your output has been one of the things that turned me from a 'I wonder how Wemby did last night' guy to someone who's taken a broader interest in the league. But please ditch the sponsorships from gambling companies. You have, deservedly, 2.5m subs and only 2 videos in the last two years have earned fewer than a million views. You earn enough to not shill for some of the worst people on earth. Please let us enjoy these videos without them being tainted in this way.
@JxmyHighroller you should make a video about how you exaggerated both Jamal Murray and Anthony Edwards where Jamal is out of the playoffs and Ant about to, it'll be a fun one
The thing I love about this video was it barely mentioned Bron. That's because he's never the next Jordan. He was the only LeBron James.
Also people forget Jordan was almost 22 when he came into the league. So remember the comparison is not to a 28 year old that won that 1st championship. He is like Mike in his early years before the playoff runs and accolades.

MJ was already a DPOY MVP in his technically 3rd complete season in the league from a back-to-back 200+stls/100+ blcks, 37.1/35 pt seasons.. Dropped 63 on the goat Celtics team off a foot injury in his sophomore year. He was the same age as Ant. And the point record still stands despite the scoring inflation.
