Ойын-сауық

Listen to the full podcast: www.webisjericho.com/talk-is-...
Mark Henry is All Elite and is part of the broadcast team for AEW RAMPAGE. Mark details his journey to AEW, what he hopes to accomplish while he’s there, and why he’s looking forward to coaching young talent like Darby Allin, Will Hobbs, and Riho. Mark speaks about his disappointing departure from WWE, his Wrestlemania moment with the Undertaker, and how the Hall Of Pain Mark Henry character was born from an in-ring rib that Vince McMahon played on Mark. Plus, Mark shares a few of his favorite matches, and explains how he came to co-host Busted Open Radio.

I personally would love to see Mark Henry incorporated into a managerial role at AEW as well. Maybe managing Powerhouse Hobbs hoping he can break away from the Team Taz angle. In that role, he can even physically get involved ringside as well from time to time handing out beatdowns when the ref isn't looking.

All being run by Mark Henry and Co, you can definitely see the huge asset he's already bring to the company as well as doing Color Commentary and being a coach. It's good to see Mark Henry becoming more involved in the behind the scenes activities in WWE. But he's exactly right. He knew when it was time to go when you've got John Laurinaitis telling you that you can't be released from your contract. Even Corny knows he's nothing more than a stooge for management. To Mark, it showed him that the office never saw him as more than talent because of his in-ring ability and didn't acknowledge his behind the scenes ability. Luckily he got out before WWE started with the massive cuts. Who knows what would have happened to him if he would have stayed long enough to be handed walking papers, let alone what he would have said. Think of all the great talent they sent out on the ice floes in the name of "fiscal responsibility." Bray Wyatt. Cesaro. Regal. John Morrison... pushes last as long as a week in some cases and then talent is shown the door. WWE is a sinking ship. They won't admit it, they never have, and never will. Vince's ideas are so off the wall and based in fiction, he still wants comic book super heroes in the ring. He's got so many ideas for so many people he can't keep them straight. He can't even remember that Luke Harper sounded crappy doing a southern drawl, and insisted he started speaking in one a week later. Now that Nick Kahn is there, Vince probably has less control over more of his company now that Triple H was forced to the sidelines, then suffered a heart attack, and Vince is now running the developmental side of the company, as well as the two flagship brands. I bet Nick Kahn is one of those guys that seems nice and cheerful in front of the camera too, then gets everyone else to do the heavy lifting and dirty work to keep his hands clean while he masterminds the next round of talent releases.

That was so disappointing. Because Mark had good momentum when he returned in 2002. Back then we thought "Man, maybe he can beat Brock!". And then he got kinda squashed.

It’s sad to see Mark Henry be overlooked when he is a veteran. The man has been in the WWF/E since 1997/98. Creative put him through bad gimmicks and good storylines, but he deserved to be a member of WWE’s backstage crew in one way or another.

That's messed up man. Mark has been around for YEARS! He's earned a spot in the business doing what he wants. WWE doesn't use these vets like Mark to further build newer talent. If you want stars let the guys who are already stars show them how, mentor, teach and guide these guys. At least aew realizes those are valuable assets to this business.

Given how successful AEW has become and how they've managed to turned former wwe wrestlers into even bigger stars and more successful case and point the late Brodie Lee, Miro, and hell even Jon Moxley that should tell released wrestlers that their are greenier pastures outside and away from the wwe. Wrestlers don't need the wwe for their careers to be successful anymore because AEW is the #1 promotion for wrestlers who want to be the best wrestler they can be.

The problem with wwe is sometimes they treat there legends like garbage. If you ain't a stone cold the rock or hulk Hogan or undertaker or even bret you get diminished and there so many legends that contribute to the business that Vince would not have the money for is it wasn't for them like Chris Jericho was the first ever undisputed championship mark Henry was a world heavyweoght champion as well as big show even dean ambrose cmpunk Jeff Hardy matt Hardy all contributed great towards the business even the Dudley's and other great ones but look how wwe treats them after spending 30+ dedicated years to the business some legends passed away that don't even get a spotlight or a good memorable speech like Eddie gurreros was. Look how they treat Rey Mysterio now in wwe is garbage that gets abused and overlooked but of course is old so wwe can't do anything with him but make him a fluke to ruin the end towards his career wwe does to alot of legends they even did it to mick Foley hardcore Holly JBL they turned there legends into joke and legacy a mockery look how they treated undertaker at the ending of his career straight ruined him even Goldberg. They even did it to bret when Vince actually screwed him in his hometown and then later be responsible for his brother Owen harts death... News fact look how the wwe treats him another hard working dedicated superstar that wwe never fully pushed but had so much to give

If I were a wrestler, I’d look at WWE and AEW and honestly it would be a no-brainer. I might not agree with a lot of what/how AEW does business but I get the sense that Tony Khan respects all of his talent and treats them fairly. Vince, on the other hand, barely knows who they are and will gladly let Nick Khan and co fire them.
