Strut brace cannot be for car .Nothing lines up.Brackets with the holes should fit flush to car strut assembly.Check part number on box to see what it fits.

I enjoy your videos always good content. The strut brace looks like some of substandard ebay tat I've bought in the past, if its not for performance cut those tabs off and find some large washers and put them under the top mounts to tighten it up. Have a good Christmas.

Astra has come along way and has definitely grown on me! Liking the engine bay with strut brace even if it serves no purpose, kinda like people who slam cars, makes the car worse but looks good,but in this case looks good and doesnt affect the car at all. Merry Christmas

Those cheap aluminium strut bars are for aesthetics only. If you get it bolted in properly, grab the middle of it and give it a wiggle as hard as you can, you'll feel it flex. That is with a fraction of the force the car will produce in a corner. I realise you only want it for aesthetics, so it's fine. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Looks to me like you have your self a nice fab/ welding job there. Keep the bar ditch the top mounts and make your own either bolt on or welded straight on the the top turrets. You could use the parts as a reference and template and make it look good and actually fit for purpose 👍🏻

James, that clearly DOESN'T fit properly. The tabs are at the wrong angle and you had to move that fusebox to make the strut brace fit. Send it back as it is clearly NOT as described. It is not even suitable for cosmetic purposes. Please don't even think about modifying either the car or the strut brace. I'm sorry to sound so negative but I feel that I have to air my opinion. That is just an awful compromise and not the best way to spend £40.

Ever thought about buying a track car James? Would be a good move the channel buying like a mot failure or something banged up and turn it into something nice that you can put on the track. Even like an Mx 5 and could learn to turbo it aswell?

Merry Christmas James, the Astra is looking great, if it were mine I would be wary of fitting that strut brace, it does look cool but it’s not a stock part and doesn’t fit well at all, as it’s just purely cosmetic, is it worth the hassle to make it fit?, also I would be hesitant to drill through the suspension mounts as they can’t be un drilled if the installation doesn’t go well, or if at some time the brace is removed, permanent holes in the bodywork will be visible, the rear trim inserts look great and finish off the lines of the body kit, they are certainly an A+ install!!!.

Merry Christmas. Be extra careful with the calliper rebuild (make sure the bores are not oval) as new rubbers can make them look sound when they are not.

Put some rust proof n brush abit of paint round holes job done

Out of balance is usually just warped discs, typically new set every 40k

Looking at the cap ends ...looks like a rear strut brace...i wouldn't go at it with a drill...if you really want to keep it ...maybe look at welding some stand offs in place to bolt too ...or to save the hassle ..get rid... Have a great Christmas 🎄

as mentioned i think its a cheap universal one, i did a quick google of an mk4 astra front and rear strut and it seem the front ones would fit how you have it now with using the suspension to hold it in place. or at least 2 of them i seen did, one been an OMP one. a better way would be to remove them tabs and drill your own holes right throw the brace end plates. on a side note, i know you love snap on stuff, last month i had something youd of been happy to find, 2 x snap on tool boxes from some old woman whos husband died :o

Are you sure its not a grab handle that you often find in disabled showers! Cool use for it though

I had the same jom strut bar and it fit very bad! So i bought the wiechers one. There are a lot more expensive but fit very well !
