I 've been watching you for two yrs now. Loving your vids and how much you have come on. What i love the most is your doing everyday cheaper cars which we all use.

If you ever get the time, cleaning the throttle body out on these often restores a bit of lost oomph. There's also a little breather blocks up, running a fine drill bit down the hole helps the idle speed and avoids any future cutting out issues.

Great progress, James..have missed KZread the last two weeks, moving etc and only got internet again today...One thing regards getting rid of the rust, your angle grinder and a flap disc would do a better job that the drill and wire wheel thing. Can't think how much time I have wasted using those things and flappy discs are much more effective...won't be going back to a wire wheel any time soon. Good to see you using the Lidl tools..they should be sponsoring you...Keep up the good work...

Great stuff, looks great, you could use paint rust converter, for the rust.

The bumpers looks spot-on will look even better when you get the black mesh grill I have a new box set of reversing Sensors they are in red but as the silver ones are in your bumper all Ready

Great videos m8, The pro drive bumpers are good looking bumper.. I prefer the gsi front bumper I have one on my van.. Subtle upgrades like this are just enough to give the car slight stealth look 👍

Another good and well presented video buddy. I also have the same grinder and was a little disappointed with the torque of it with a 2AH battery but after getting the 4AH one for £22 it has transformed it and now rarely use my 240v one.

Broken radiator is the aircon radiator, the cooling radiator sits in behind it.

Next time your in Lidl, get a couple of their wire wheels for your Parkside angle grinder, they make short work of rust, much better than the drill and only a few quid.

The angle grinder spins at too higher speed and will destroy the paint. Even though it has a speed controller when set on the lowest rpm just doesn`t have the torque required. I know this because like you, I thought it would make a good polisher but unfortunately twas not the case { still love it as a grinder/cutter/ wire wheel and with a 4AH battery its well worth the money

Pro drive kit is one of he best looks for this mk4, irmscher kit is decent but I’d always preferred a pro drive. I’ve recently started my 4th Astra g project so I’ll be keeping an eye. I need a new front bumper as the previous owners botched it with a massive screw into the bumper guides 😞😞 Ps those torx screws are bollocks easy to round.

GSi kit is the best looking.

My mk5 has the same issue with the radiator but it works fine. Personally i wouldnt worry about replacing it unless its leaking or overheating

your like me prefer OEM+, one thing i always do and always get comments on my cars is "you always fit mudflaps" lol, have you got a PO box wouldn't mind sending a few things to you

For it's age it's pretty good for rust, just surface stuff by the looks of it, though treat it properly or it will continue to grow to the point it goes through, I usually run a long it with the air hammer with the needle descaler attachment which takes all the loose rust off, wire wheels don't actually work that well because all they do is polish off he rust, then i paint it all with hamerite rust remover let that work it's magic then repaint it the rust never comes back.

Try sanding it down properly and painting it with Hammerite

Looks decent, suits the car and has a stock look about it , gsi on steroids. Some smoother deeper side skirt finish it of, 40mm drop and some nice rims. That rs4 mesh looks good, Clean the rear light seals and rub a bead of Vaseline round the seal whilst there off. Get that rust reverser of Amazon or eBay, turns it black. Really good stuff

GSi kit is wayyyy better than the SRi-Turbo kit. Where did you get your bumpers from anyway?

Perhaps it would look good to paint the mash in de bumper Black so it matches the grill. Just a toch more contrast

de-ox gel would eat the rust and leave you with clean metal to paint. and its your aircon condenser thats hanging off, they all go like that eventually.

He can't cos his car has a 4 stud setup while the GSi snowflakes are 5 stud.

It look better with colour code side skirt, and get fresh mesh because old one look toasted

Put some exhaust tip and paint bumper grill in black and it will look gorgeous

Acutally kinda want to buy a mk4 now... and my mate is gonna scrap his with 70k miles and great body work... only needs a clutch.. tempting 😂

I think the temperature sensor should not be in contact with the air currents caused by driving. If I were you, I would change the position of that bracket.
