Stir-fried Anchovies (Myulchi Bokkeum) by Chef Jia Choi

I would like to share my favorite Korean recipes with you.
I've been running Korean cooking class and food tour company in Seoul, Korea for the last 10 years.
I wanted to share my secret recipes which are both easy to make and delicious.

Stir-fried Anchovies / Myulchi Bokkeum
Ingredients
Small anchovies------------------------------------------------------------- 200g
Garlic (sliced)----------------------------------------------------------------- 3 cloves
Vegetable oil------------------------------------------------------------------ 2 tbsp
Sauce
Vegetable oil------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 tbsp
Water------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 tbsp
Brown sugar------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.5 tbsp
Rice wine------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 tbsp
Toasted sesame seeds-------------------------------------------------- 1 tsp
Instructions
1. Slice garlic.
2. Heat a pan with oil over medium heat. Add the anchovies and stir fry for 1 minutes. Add garlic to the pan and keep stir frying for additional 1 to 2 minutes, until slightly brown. Transfer to a tray. Spread the anchovies.
3. Wipe a pan with paper towel. Add the sauce ingredients and mix. Heat the pan over medium high heat. Bring the sauce to a boil for about 1 minute. Turn off the heat and add stir fried anchovies to the pan. Mix well so that the anchovies are well coated with the sauce,
4. Transfer to a big plate or tray. Add sesame seeds. Spread and cool down to room temperature.
- Stir-Fried Anchovies can be served in a room temperature or cold. Refrigerate it and it’ll keeps up to a week.

    제 멸치볶음이 왜 딱딱해서 이가 부러질거 같았는지 알겠네요.. ^^;; 볶다가 살짝 타기도 하구요 ㅠ 요린이가 갈길은 멀고도 험하겠지만 지아님의 동영상을 보면서 한계단씩 올라가보겠습니다! 감사해요~~^^
