Dr Akopian’s “Get up! GET UP JOSH *clap clap*” freakin killed me, I was literally the same way😂😂😂😂 I was so excited for Rebecca, when josh came I literally wanted to drag him out and scream

There's something heartwarming about how earnest the therapist is about wanting to help Rebecca once she sees that she's ready. Canceling the next FIVE appointments? She was ready to drop everything and dedicate her whole day to helping one person!

For me this is the scene that represents what this show is about perfectly.

I remember after Rebecca sang the "after everything I've done for You" reprise, the first thing he said was that all the doubts he had were because of Rebecca and not his fault. But cmon, he talked shit about her with Anna and the beg her to take him back because she huged him and gave him soup. He proposed out of the blue, in the middle of a therapy session because he was scared of end up alone and Rebecca's mom told him to do that. He also has underlying issues to address

What’s messed up is Rebecca’s mother put him up to it. Naomi really believed Josh marrying Rebecca was a solution which shows how little she really knows or understands either of them. Seriously, Naomi doesn’t understand her own daughter anymore than a man she met once.

Akopes’ eyeroll and seemingly being on the verge of falling asleep at the beginning is everything 😂😂

Dr Akopian should have gotten a reprise of "after everything I've done for you (that you didnt ask for)" for this moment

Agreed.In season 1, I used to think he is so gullible.But at this point especially after knowing Rebecca and her antics and him dating the Brittany Snow's character and telling her about Rebecca and Valencia.Then got dumped and trying to woo Rebecca's back.It's hard to believe that he really doesn't know what he actually up against.

Looking back on this scene after the finale is so full circle. As underwhelming as the finale is, SPOILERS...... Read at your own risk She literally had three guys who would do anything to be with her and she shot all of them down to work on herself, as opposed to this scene when she drops working on herself with one proposal. The growth Rebecca goes through is phemoninal. I'm going to miss this show so much

I totally agree with what you said, but I didn’t feel like the finale was underwhelming. It didn’t have a huge romantic climax where she “ends up with the one” but it had a really sweet ending where things worked themselves out. Honestly with a show that has the word “crazy” in the title it seems almost fitting that the ending was so calm

The finale was exactly and it should have been, this show helped so many people to get help, with how unrealistic and crazy the beginning was, the ending was thr most humanizing and that's the beauty of it, working on yourself takes time and is hard and sometimes you want to give up, chosing "the one" was a romantic fantasy notion and that's exactly why it would be a terribly ending Dream Ghost Rebecca said it herself in the dream sequence the three were wonderful and she could have loved anyone of them but what she really needed was time to know her real self, I loved it.

I loved the ending, BUT I have 3 major disagreements with it. First and furthemore, I didn't like that they didn't consider the maternal relationship that Rebecca and Paula have; even though there are some parts that it had been told, I don't remember that I was talked the right way. Second, the mistreatment of White Josh; he didnt' end up with Darryl which is fine, had another relationship which was taken to second plane and also he had his house burned and all that stuff. Also, Dr Akopian didn't appear in the final episode or had a conclusive ending.

Doctor Akopian reminds me of Paula. The way she’s just trying to pull things out of Rebecca slowly, and allowing her to open up. Then you have paula who basically explains what Rebecca is feeling like a true best friend would: but in this moment, the reaction to how Akopians like, “no, josh, stand up josh. NNnnoo!” She just knows she’s lost her all over again. Canna cope

I dated a woman with strong borderline tendencies this past winter. It was heartbreaking, scary and thrilling all at the same time. Does this character ever dissociate? I saw my friend do that at one point and was like wtf... I didn't know what it was called at the time but I expected it from other self-help literature I'd read.

MrAcarine I can see the "engagement" playing out for the rest of the season easily. It's going to end in either a disastrous and hilarious wedding or a disastrous and hilarious marriage. There's still a lot of material for them to cover. And eventually in some future season she's going to have to come clean with Josh about everything she's done, which will probably be an ordeal. Basically I can see at least four solid seasons. It'll take 2 seasons for Rebecca to admit her issues and another 2 for her to actually deal with them.

Vivian Vasquez altough i'm disgusted by him now ,i was a huge jobecca shipper before and i think i can explain , when rebecca was young and stupider , a bunch of bad shit happened in her life, and she relied a lot on storybook fairytales and princess movies, bc thats what gave her hope of happiness ,and she always associated marriage with true happiness as a result, so in summer camp she fell in love with josh for all the nice things he embodied in her mind, and a young mind is easily twisted , soon she simplified all her issues into being solved by being in a relationship with josh ,she idolized him , plus he probabbly was her first love ,so the impact was as bigger than an atomic bomb, and she fell hard for the ideals she planted on josh ,that which didnt match reality ,because josh isn't actually that great. But she clinged to those expectations and dreams and hoped and hoped so much ,that what was logical to a normal person ,became surreal in her eyes, because that's what she grew to believe. Her real life was so sad ,she found peace on her own imagination , josh only happened to be the unlucky vessel where she dumped all of these hopes in , he never mattered to her at all ,he just treated him as a means to find the love she doesn't give herself. Josh could have been anyone. when you come from an complex and reprehensive background such as rebeccas , the smallest drop of happiness become the biggest deal ,because you desperately need it to an immeasurable extent. i'm so glad she came so far as finally sorting out her own issues and discover that she hopefully on the next season will finally be able to discover she could have loved herself all along , and maybe finally be in a healthy relationship , or alone but still acomplished with how far she came. Although i hope she and nathaniel become an item , i believe in the end she being by herself would be a good ending too , done properly. But i believe it will be perfect either way!

I didn't want them to be together, but still was I really the only one who was a little happy for Rebecca? Like it was just something that she wanted for so long, she kind of needed that from him in order to start moving beyond it. Guess it was wishful thinking on my part that she'd get the proposal, be super happy for a hot minute, then make the amicable, rational decision to part with J before the wedding... haha what show did I think I was watching???

Effectively, that she has to love herself independently, instead of seeking self worth through her romantic relationships. Dr Akopian has at this point seen MANY TIMES that Rebecca throws everything into her romances at the cost of her own well-being, because she feels she has no worth if no one else wants her. It’s why she’s so happy Josh proposed - he’s effectively saying he wants to be with her forever, in her eyes. But Rebecca has also been shown to become extremely obsessive over romance because she pins her self worth on it - if she’s worthless without the guy, she HAS to get him and keep him at any cost. It’s not that Rebecca can never have romantic relationships. It’s that she has to feel secure enough on her own not to blow her life up when her romances fail.

Why did rebeca could hear josh whistle? I still dont know.

The eye rolling, yelling, etc. was just added in so that the audience could see that she wants Rebecca to look inside herself instead of trying to solve her problems with relationships. In real life, I've had two good therapists and four bad ones and even the bad ones were more professional than this.
