The mom is crude, rude and childish. Not funny. Should have left her at home. Just terrible.
The mom insulting the bridesmaids figure is ironic since they are slimmer than her. And the fact that is nearly 20 years older attacking them is infuriating.

The Mom (m.i.l. to be) doesn't want to grow up plus she is horrible at reading the room.
I think Jessica's fiancé has it right, her mom wants attention. I suspect that she had Jessica so young that she never had the time to have fun and get all that teenage silliness out of her system before settling down. She missed that part of growing up, and sadly, it seems to be coming out now.

I disagree completely. This relationship is not an issue of them thinking of each other in a friendly way or not. The mom is childish/ immature and is disrespectful of her daughter. My mom and I are extremely close and like best friends and have a healthy relationship. Sure it can be different for everyone but it's ok to have a best friend type of relationship in a mom and daughter as long as it's healthy. Theirs isn't simply because the mom is terrible.

I disagree, my Mom was 'Mom', while I was growing up. She became my best friend somewhere between when I got out of the Navy and when I graduated college. Everyone's relationships are different, my husband never understood my mother being my best friend either. His Mom was his Mom, but he had 2 siblings he was close with. My brother and I weren't, we had little in common. My husband and his sister were two peas in a pod, it was hilarious how much alike they were.

The mom should have been left home. Hope the couple moves out state after the wedding. I would not put it past the mom to "drop by" without calling if the couple lives in the same state as she does.

One of my best friends was a bridal consultant while we were in college. I’m a photographer and have shot a lot of weddings, Sweet 16’s, quinceaneras and a few bat mitzvahs. We’ve swapped lots of stories. Moms can absolutely be nightmares.
The mother of the first bride behaves like a selfish manipulative teenager who did not notice that twenty years have passed and he has become a little older. Apparently, she thinks that acting like a teenage girl is very young and cute. It just looks terrible! Her entourage and her daughter have incredible patience. Actually, I can't get rid of the feeling that this is a very bad acting on camera. I hope this is the case

Photographer here. I’ve done weddings, quinceaneras, sweet 16’s, bridal showers and even some bat mitzvahs. Moms can be nightmares to work with. I told my mom that if ever get married the second she starts to act like this, she’s uninvited to the wedding. She just told me that it’s my wedding and do and wear whatever I want. She’ll keep her mouth shut unless something looks horrible.
0:22 the most southern hairstyle I’ve ever seen
That is the rudest mom and is being very inconsiderate of her daughter and her friends.
I had my oldest at 16 and I can see how the mom turned out the way she has. It’s hard to resist being a kid in order to raise one. I’m so glad I made it. My oldest is an adult now and the rest older teens so now I am figuring out who I am and what I want. It would have been so easy to turn out like that mom. And no parent should ever be their child’s best friend!
That first bride's Mom was so rude.

There is absolutely no reason for the mom to be at a bridesmaids appointment. She definitely thinks she is the “cool mom” and young, which she is neither.
Why did she even bring her mother? Yikes.
I don’t see mom and Jessica being best friends for long now that Jessica is more mature than she is.
The mom comes across as a drinker. She seems intoxicated at the appointment. She’s on something for sure.
Such a beautiful wedding the beach wedding 💒 all the dresses were pretty and the bride was beautiful!
I get why the bride asked her fiance to come. It seems like he has her back.
My daughter has a best friend that asked her to be her matron of honor. She will have 3 or 4 bridesmaids. Before hand the Mom of the bride told her daughter that she and the girls were not allowed to wear any dresses that were sleeveless bc all of them are fat ! When my daughter told me that, I was appalled. I couldnt believe her own Mom would make such a request. Nevertheless the bride found a dress that showed off her arms, and my daughter has her sights on a sleeveless dress. Im hoping her bf told her Mom the what for I know my daughter would have told me. Its all about the bride and groom ,not the MOTB
