I was thinking how hideous when I remembered these were my colours! I had exactly what the bridesmaid suggested but it was sapphire dresses with pale yellow and white flowers. Decor theme was silver. The flower girl wore a white dress with a blue satin sash (like Sound of Music). It looked amazing and very different. Everyone complimented the colours.

@@kelbel1925 Blue and yellow were the school colors of one of our rivals when I was in high school. Ours were black and gold. Blue and yellow look good together,

Shout out to Brandon for his patience with unsupportive bridesmaids and wirh bride's terrible vision. He didn't agree with anyone yet managed to seem like he agrees with everything

Good for you, but...Brandon makes my skin crawl. I can't stand petty, passive aggressive, uppity fruity men.

Blue dresses with platinum accessories and the flowers are yellow was the only reasonable way to make that colour scheme work! Make some lovely bouquets with mostly yellows, maybe some white and even blue and it'll tie everything together.

​@@AkireMaru Yellow and blue flowers look really beautiful, especially if you choose pastels or toned down versions: think vanilla and lavender or wedgwood and lemon or even navy and gold. Even that royal blue and honey yellow can work, if you add white or orange-red and go for a summer at the farm or the vineyard feel.

Black women look amazing in yellow. You can just see from their skin tones that it would look good. Very few WHITE people look good in yellow. We don’t play by y’all’s rules 😂

She didn't say anything about skin color. However, she is correct in that not everyone, of any skin color, can wear yellow. Also, not everyone can wear the same shade of yellow. I get that the bride chooses her colors, I was a bride once too. However, unless the bride is paying for the bridesmaids dresses, she is going to have to let them have a say in what they are spending hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars for. I told my bridesmaids the colors, one of which was white, so they didn't really have a choice in color ( burgundy, so they all looked good in it), and they chose the style. This bride has too many bright colors and if her bridesmaids wore all of her colors, everyone would be looking at them, not at the bride. They should all wear one color, just like it ended up.

@@RebeccaTaylorTillery Becca honey imma need you to sit out of this one. She didn’t say “not everyone” looks good in yellow. She said “VERY FEW” people look good in yellow, effectively saying it doesn’t work for most. It doesn’t work for most of THEM. Various shades works for us work for us amazingly. I never said one yellow works for all. I commented on her blanket statement about any yellow in general looking bad. I promise you don’t want to mince words with me

I did like the first blue dress. If she goes with those colors the attention is going to be on the bridesmaids and not the bride

I feel like I am late to the game but this is the first time I saw a designer in the bridesmaids department

The bride needs to be the show case! Brides maids a muted background. I know of a bride that made all her bridesmaids dresses herself...each in soft pastel. They looked beautiful, but over shadowed the bride herself...she was lost in all those beautiful bridesmaids. Who were like beautiful flowers, in a pastel rainbow. You saw the bridesmaids and not the bride😦

This is just a western outlook on the wedding, I understand your point, however in non western countries the bridesmaids and guests dress with full glam to weddings and no one thinks that's the bride is being overshadowed at all. Actually the bride wants the guests to dress with full glam because it shows that they care about the event and are putting in effort. Interesting perspectives from different locations of the world

The one shoulder dress was fantastic! This group was all about drama. The second group with the sight-unseen dresses took a huge gamble. I'm glad it worked out well and that everyone was happy with the dress.

My colors were blue, white, and purple. I wanted pink in the wedding but it looked like a gender reveal. 1:41 i hate the fact she said, "you just have to wear it." The bridemaids should have an opinion on their dresses if they are buying. If they are not they have less say, but it should still make your bridesmaids look good. I wanted my bridesmaids to look like goddesses and they did. They were gorgeous, i felt gorgeous, it was a great day

Blue and purple together is a "strange" choice...

I like when the bride gives the bridesmaids some direction on color/style, but let's them select a dress that makes them feel good as long it works with the general requirements.

It's like the second bride made her bridesmaids look hideous on purpose.

Yellow and blue are nice together but not with platinum.

My best friend had us wear bright yellow dresses with HUGE bows on back with bright sky blue accents...including our toes and fingernails...it was AWWWFUL..but I never said a word. Just wore it and that's about it. I got wasted and feasted on cheese trays, and shrimp trays...then fell on a tent pole..the dress wasn't ever in use again 😂😂

funny thing my mom’s HS colors were blue and gold…..ROYAL BLUE AND YELLOW DON’T LOOK GOOD TOGETHER! Royal blue and platinum(or silver) maybe…..but YELLOW! Nooooo way!

I really like dress 1. Love that it’s got an iridescent colour but I’d definitely want straps on it.

I liked that first blue dress. It would have look nice on all three bridesmaids. The dress she picked looked fabulous on the girl who was modeling it. She is tall and slim. I’m not sure how flattering it will be on the other two girls. 😬

The strapless dresses all looked terrible on the taller girl. She was too flat chested for the strapless dresses. The one shoulder looked good on her, and I think will look fine on the rest of them too.

@@Lynnys1 Are you married? Do you understand it's the bride's day? Do you "go along to get along" so you don't hurt somebody else's tender little feelings? If the bridesmaids aren't friends enough with the bride to honor her wishes or afford the dress, they should back out. No harm, no foul. But, of course, their egos won't allow for that. Truthfully, ego is uglier than ANY bridesmaid dress I've ever seen.

@@angelbulldog4934 yes I am married. And yes I understand that it’s the bride’s day. If a bride is steadfast in the decision she has made re the bridesmaid dresses she should pay for them. If the bridesmaids are expected to pay they shouldn’t be expected to shell out hundreds on a dress that they hate. My opinion, to which I am entitled to express.

I have seen a number of these "pick the bridesmaid dresses", as I am a big fan of say yes to the dress...however...I have to admit this is the worst 'bride vs. bridesmaid" show ever, due to the color combination and the whole dynamic between the bridesmaids and the bride. Back in the day, the bride chose the dresses and the colors and that was that. While I appreciate today's brides trying to get a consensus, sometimes it's just impossible. Keeping in mind a comment that I have previously made about this, in the end, the bride is the one who has to sign off on all this. And I wouldn't have the job of bridal consultant for all the tea in China.

That one one bridesmaid was very rude

The first bride dress she picked is beautiful,but in that blue it will be stunning. The second bride her dresses are awful. Didn't like anything about them.

My colors for my wedding were royal blue and gold. My Bridesmaids wore golden and my husband and the groomsmen wore Royal Blue. We had sunflowers and blue roses

Chiffon bridesmaids dresses are the best. I love how they flow. Chiffon looks good on all body types. Satin only works for a few people.

Princess Di wore one-shoulder gowns, they’re very flattering, & pretty with a bow-not giant puffy bows. I believe they draw the eye up away from flaws although not necessary for her. Lori is a pro. No to the yellow.

The silver just doesn’t go. The other 2 aren’t great together but at least the yellow and blue are equally bold colors, the silver just looks really washed out beside the other two. The royal blue is really beautiful. It doesn’t help that they all walk out looking like they are getting ready to face a firing squad… Smile ladies it won’t unalive you.

I mean - sure the colours weren't that great but, what's wrong with not having a traditional wedding style? Nothing wrong with changing things up a bit and let things be wild and colourful.

Brandon screwed up by putting the blue in the middle. Visually, you see blue and platinum, and blue and yellow. The yellow won’t work with the platinum, so the yellow needed to be next to the platinum to see that.

Blue, Yellow, and Silver together isn't horrendous as the brides maids think. Blue and yellow go together just fine. You have to have the correct saturation of each. Silver is a neutral color. Pick a primary, then a secondary, use the third as a spot. She's not crazy and people need to learn color theory.

If she did red, blue and yellow... it MAY'VE worked. Those are the primary colours in the colour wheel. Like if she had an even number of 6 or 9 bridesmaids it could've worked. I can see that potentially. (Also depends on what her dress is like) But yellow, blue and silver. No. Not to mention the bridesmaids have to pay for them. If the bride is paying for them then sure. But nah ah. If I had to pay for my own dress I would insist the bride compronises if they still want me in the wedding party.
