Same. I'm not expecting masterpiece, I want to have fun and enjoy yourself watching it. With Sonic movie 3 in December it's just something to tide us over. I think some of the reviews are bit harsh and people are just expecting something on the level to the movies. But I don't mind something small as long as it's fun, that's ok.

I’m expecting it to be at least above average

I don’t expect a super deep plot in the Sonic movies. I’m mostly looking for them to just reference the lore in some fashion and give us fun and intense action with the characters portrayed in a cool and likable manner. However, in the games the story can get pretty deep at certain moments. One game being the main source material for the upcoming Sonic 3 movie which has me wondering how they’ll twist it to still satisfy fans of that story but maintain a tone not too jarring for audiences following the movies.

Love to hear these good positive reviews, idris Elba sounds amazing, kid cudi looks amazing and I love seeing more tika sumpter

The last time there was so much backlash for a character's design that it was changed at the last minute was Megatron in the first TF movie. His early head design got leaked in 2006 and fans hated it so much that they changed it into what you see it as now when you watch the film. If you watch the behind the scenes on the robot designs they explain it.

If you go into Sonic (and Knuckles) with your expectations in check you'll have an absolute blast. Expectations being that it's a family friendly Marvel-esque super hero series. It's Marvel to watch with your kids... And it does a fantastic job of that.

Depending; when they changed the 3D models they had to make it about almost the same in terms of topology so the rigging fit for animation to stay intact.
