We have to get the van dug out of the snowbank its current encapsulated in to be able to do more snow removal in front of the garage
It take some shovelling, some plowing, some help from the winch on the homemade log trailer and quite a bit of smoking the tires to move the Chevy Express 1500 (2wd) out of the way!!
Not going to lie I had no expectation of it being able to drive out of there 😂
Cape Breton is still under a State of Emergency while we get roads plowed, people shoveled out of their houses and assess the damages. There are reports of homes where the windows broke from the amount of snow pushing against them, roofs collaposing and many cases of people having to climb out of windows to exit their homes due to the amount of snow piles up on their doorsteps. This storm last weekend dumped 150cm (60in) of snow across Cape Breton Island!
Without the help of our neighbours who came with a large CAT loader we would not have been able to clear the snow from our driveway! Our front step is still inaccessable due to the amount of snow! Luckly the temperatures have been mild all week and there has been significant melting and we are due to have warm temperatures in the upcoming days!!
