I have the same plow on my rtv. You can slow down the drop speed by the adjustment screw on the back of the black panel facing the front of the cab. Mine drops into float mode much slower now.

Thanks for the videos Sean. I have been trying to do research and find a good utv to do work around my property, which is very hilly and steep in some areas. I have really been leaning towards the Kubota RTV 1100c like yours, or the Polaris Ranger 1000. I want to plow snow on an incline and clear dead wood off my property, which is steep in some areas. I don't care if the kubota is slow, but just want to make sure in can tackle steep inclines. Since you have both the ranger 1000 and kubota RTV, which one do you believe is better for working the property? I don't believe you can put a big boss snow plow on a ranger like the kubota? My big concern is the kubota won't be able to tackle the hills, and Polaris 2 cylinder ranger 1000 is going to fall apart screaming at 7000 rpm in low gear trying to go up hills pulling and carring wood. Any advice would really be appreciated, as you are one of the few that has both machines. I see so many horror stories of the ranger 1000s constantly breaking down. Same unit different plow , yea shifting can be hectic somtimes when i read the book it says when you push the brake in it activates some kind of Hydrolic release so always make sure you start with that if that dont work you end up bumping the gas a little then cussing lol

Plowing in high gear in the rtv is not good for the transmission recommend plowing in low gear..❄️

Does this plow have down pressure? Also did you beef up front suspension?

I have the same plow on my x1100c. No down pressure but the plow weighs 400lbs and performs pretty good. Also, kubota already put heavy duty springs on this RTV due to having the cab. No further spring mods necessary. On the non-cab models you do have to add heavy duty springs if you are adding a plow.
