I also have Shawn over Curry. Probably the legs are the main reason & over balance. Shawn's arms were flat in the front double & back double agreed. Side chest they looked surprisingly good. side tricep was bad. But not as drastically underwhelming as half of Brandon's body!!! Brandon is good no lie but his arms and back are just way above his quads, hamstrings, & calves. It just way too noticeable to over look or see past.

I like Shawn on almost all poses

Yea but he was missing size overall. Especially arms and lat/back size. Og course shwan has maybe the best balanced phydique but also the smalles in size.. Brandon in my opinion has the best physique potential. If brandon improves legs and tiny bit condition.. Then it is game over for shawn, hadi, ramy, bonac, phil..

Yea but it is also the light, tan, asthetics.. Rhoden lacks size in arms and back width.. Brandon on the other hand legs legs.. And ramy has a wide waist/not that asthetic flow like rhoden and brandon

I still remember saying, "WOW"!, when Shawn Rhoden walked out for prejudging at the 2018 Olympia. Never had the same reaction with the other 2 guys, even though Im super pleased Rami got his deserved win.

Yeah agreed. Ramy and Curry were the best of their nights but Rhoden had a wow factor.

Rhoden always draws my eye, the stucture and conditioning are top notch. I know his arms are the weakest of the 3 and his lats aren't the best but damn does he flow well in most of the poses. His wheels/abs are my favorite of the 3, perfect combination of size, symmetry, and aesthetics.

Agreed, that is his weakest point, no disrespect to Shawn, but compared to the others his arms are just smaller, but other than that, his development is amazing, really peeled, really thick pure muscle, no fat whatsoever, just amazing. The other two are just mass monsters, Big Ramy more than Brandon, but they are two beasts.

Maybe, yeah, but Ramy this year did bring the whole package with the best conditioning he can reach at such a size, he was only lacking a bit in the lower back department and triceps but his overall shape was crazy.

Nah, if you actually stood Shawn next to the 2020 Ramy, he would be beaten. Ramy had very few flaws. Unless you go solely on aesthetics (which lets be honest here isn't gonna happen) Ramy will simply out mass Shawn, especially given that he was also in great condition 2020.

shawn rhodens conditioning was next level stuff.

No disrespect, but I give 3rd to Brandon on this. His legs don't match with his upper body.

But shawn lacks triceps and back development while currys upper body is huge and round. Both have their weaknesses. Shawn with some extra lower lat mass and development in the long head of the tricep... that would be a sight to see.

Bigger arms would make him more balanced imo, his legs and torso are so wide, his waist is pretty wide too, making his arms look smaller than they are. Imagine 2021 with: Ramy with bigger arms and lower lats. Brandon with bigger legs. Shawn with bigger triceps and lats. That would be sick.

Rhoden has no dominant and overwhelming body parts but his physique simply flows too well with each and every pose. The sum of his body parts has more value than each individual body parts.

IMO Rhoden is winning most shots. He's so shredded and aesthetic probably the best Mr. O we've had since 2011 Phil.

@@mvyper Shawn doesn't look overly freaky infact he looks almost athletic. Brandon's proportions are a bit too cartoonish and Ramy is just overwhelmingly huge. If I'm choosing a guy to walk around as it's Brandon for sure those arms are balloons stupid roundness. I would put Ramy in a similar category as prime Ronnie and Jay just pure mass monster freak factor while maintaining some form of aesthetics.

@@R_00N I'm a Brandon fan. I like Shawn for different reasons that we spoke about. 🤔 That said, as much as I wanted Brandon to win again this year, I'm totally cool with Ramy getting the title. I would say that it would have even been a robbery, the other way around.

Man this makes me miss Rhoden, he was such an aesthetic beast on stage, one of the few who could match Ramy's lower body.

Imo Shawn would win, but i am a big fan of his physique

No biceps peak, no triceps, back lacking meat and details altogether, in front lats spread lats are not noticeable, midsection bloated altho he has nice 6pac... he is better in lower body parts, has good legs and glutes. I don't think that he is balanced as you say

I disagree as far as Shawn goes. Bodybuilders are always a bit worse after taking some time off and he'll also be 46 by the next Olympia. I think he could get top 6 but I'd have Bonac, Choopan, and potentially even Roelly ahead of him at this point. Who knows though he could come back in pristine condition and place top 2.

Shawn Rhodens side tricep might be my favourite modern pose. It displays his structure and strong points so well (dat wide chest too). It just looks more like an abs and tighs.

Roden in almost all poses gets my vote. Size is not everything, Ramy has poor balance in his legs as his calves are too small and are overpowered by his thighs, which are probably the ugliest thighs in bodybuilding. Curry gets my third place, Ramy in second. PS. I`m glad to see most of the comments support Roden as the best here which makes me believe there is still hope for the future of bodybuilding as an art form and a sport, as it should be.

Some bodybuilders are known for 1 specific pose. Dorian=back lat spread, Arnold=front double bi, Levrone=side chest. I think Shawn Rhoden's ab and thigh will go down as the gold standard for the pose.

Shawn Roden has one of the best front double bis of all time. Also, his conditioning was on a different level this year. All the experts agree on this.

For me Rhoden had the most impressive physique back then and of all three he’s the leanest and got that classic physique vibe too

By bodybuilding standarts, Shawn wins, 2nd Ramy and 3rd Brandon. Shawn in "18 was INSANELY dialed in, he looked more conditioned than Phil, which tbh is an insane feat.

Shawn Rhoden is a different level. Carved out of obsidian just like Akim Williams.

Remember when Rhoden looked at Phil Heath for the abs and thighs pose in 2018

Roden was surprisingly aesthetic while maintaining size necessary to hang with the monsters. I have him winning overall

Ramy just seems to have bought a new lvl to the legs it's really good to see a mass monster at the top again as it should be i believe.

I’d put Shawn over Brandon. The difference in conditioning is absolutely crazy. As well, I’d generally value the entire legs over the bicep and tricep since the legs take up half of every single shot, and rhodens upper body past those 2 wins on conditioning alone. Also big ramy for sure the best one, crazy what he was able to put together by just posing right and shrinking a bit

In my opinion, Shawn just looks closest to the sandoe trophy itself w his conditioning, shape and completeness which should be what the Mr olympia looks like

I completely agree. If Shawn would have competed last year bringing a physique similar to 2018 onto the stage he would have won pretty easily. This year, he wouldn't have. Ramy in shape is too much for him to handle.

I think if Shawn competed 19 and 20 and wasn't off he'd be 3 time Mr Olympia.
