Brandon was way bigger last year. His condition was better this year but he still wasn't 100% on! His waist was a bit tighter, but overall I'd still pick his 2019 version.

Appears he over dieted in 2020 probably thinking Phil (known always to be conditioned) was going to be his main competition. Yeah his legs are still undersized for his upper body, but they had more cuts at the 2020 O. 2019 looks like he didn't diet as hard but jacked up the peptides for major fullness look. Personally I think he showed some improvements in 2020 but his over-dieting blurred them out (ie wider lats, maintaining small waste line).

I think his bicep “peaks” are better from last year.

Marx, thank you for doing this video. I was real interested to see this vid and assumed that Brandon knowing that he was going to be challenged would get into his very best package ever. The first thing I notice is that his color is lighter and that should have shown his cuts more in 2020. I was also shocked to see that he was noticeably less dense and not much more defined. He lost more size and his condition being better in my opinion he showed little overall improvement for 2020.

I don't think he can improve his legs, I think he's reached or is close to reaching his genetic potential with his legs. I mean after all this time how else can his legs be so undersized?

@@fad2679 I have to disagree, look at Ronnie. He grew so much from the time he won his first O to the last and he won pretty late in his career. Brandon probably has better genetics than anyone in the lineup. He has to really push the boundaries like Ronnie, Jay and Dorian did but he's a family man so I'm not sure he's willing to do that.

@@R_00N There are genetic dispositions that determine how well you react to gear. Some people just don’t got it. All those guys you mentioned will tell you that less was more back then. It just is what it is.

I mean still his legs can’t reach like someone like hadi and especially ramy because he is just so genetically weak in the legs so I don’t believe he has a chance against a conditioned ramy

@@dukedennis123 I think I'm just biased. His legs just don't look like a big glaring weakness to me. His calves are poor and legs lack sweep from the rear but his waist is so tiny from the front his legs just don't look bad. His front double is beautiful and from the side his legs look big. Ramy is undoubtedly much larger than him though legs appear twice Brandon's size from the front and rear.

Biggest difference was the lack of posing oil on his skin in 2020. He needed that to show more detail

Agreed. The lighting and background were already bad in 2019 and got even worse in 2020. Hurts especially the darker skinned guys like Curry, Ruffin.

When u reach your genetic and steroid limit u can't put single cm at age 37 u can't improve if Brandon was 25-30 he still had a chance to increase size

Brandon was definitely way more ripped than last year but he had to sacrifice some fullness which didn't translate so well.

I like his shape. Bit better this year.

I don't really know how he thought he would be able to regain his title without any decent size. The judges aren't stupid

I still think Hadi should have won last year, and placing second this year, much like with Phil's placing, was a gift

@@kamh1944 and did you even think for yourself? Its a fixed scorecards, so they have an excuse. So you are telling me that Phil and Curry was better than Hadi at prejudging? They both was fading big time, and Phil gut was terrible, as well as Brandon legs. Hadi was way better condition from the moment he hit the stage and was getting better and better, and this 2 was getting worst. This decision was a complete joke.

Hadi was off at prejudging, way off. Probably from flying in so close to the competition. At finals he was a beast and easily placed second but it’s a two day competition.

And Hadi was getting harder and harder. Sorry when you have world class upper body and totally amateurish lower body you don`t deserve second. Lower body is still half of your body. And balance/proportion is one of the most important thing in BB. Again Hunter Lebrada have way better legs than Curry and he is a f***** rookie ....

The difference in the lighting and backgrounds makes the differences between the years look far for pronounced than they actually are imo, especially in that first front double bicep comparison

Looking at pics from the rear he needs minimize the space below glutes in top of hamstrings,black trunks help as well as having a darker background

When people were saying he was using oil in his biceps I had Brandin’s back. I said no way is he using oil. But now looking at these pictures his biceps were so much rounder with bigger peaks. It almost looks like two different arms. The size of your biceps can change but the shape doesn’t change. It’s a little suspicious!

I go through the same thing. I would hate to accuse someone falsely, but then again I would hate to be a naive and gullible. Arnold proves biceps can be cartoonish, but to have them one show and not the next is kinda suspicious I agree.

The lighting situation is completely different between the two shows. Makes it hard to compare.

he needs to bring the size from 2019 and shreds from 2020 to really be on. but those legs are always going to be a glaring weak point especially when lined up with Ramy and Hadi

It looks like he had more oil in 2019, he's shinier, more contrast with more shadows, better 3D effect, gives the illusion of being bigger. He looks the same, just slightly better condition in 2020.

Needs to be more conditioned(looks so soft on some areas) & needs more leg mass

He was bigger from holding water in 2019. He was much better conditioned in 2020 which is to be commended. Very few bodybuilders look as big when highly conditioned. It’s a difficult combination to achieve.

No oil in the biceps this year. Maybe Mobil one last year and some off brand this year.

Lost some size from not getting the same anabolic chicken from Kuwait.

Brandon just seems to be one of those dudes that just can't go for the shredded look, no matter how good it could potentially look on them. Everything that made him and Olympia champion just goes out the window for that bit of conditioning. His back, his arms, delts, to some degree even his pecs, traps and his legs. It was worth a shot to go for it, adressing one of the 2 big problems with his physique, but it just didn't work out great for him.

Well I think you sized them very slightly to the advantage of 2019 ( but only in some photos) but generaly he looked slightly smaller and ever so slightly leaner for 2020. Swings and roundabouts. Legs did look significantly down in size for 2020 the more I look

I think he went for conditioning and lost too much size. The guys this year also seemed to use less posing oil which made them look flat.

He was full blown in 2019 definitely more leaner and depleted in 2020.

he knew phil was coming back so he lost the size to focus more on conditioning and tight midsection,now phils out the picture he should go back to how he was when he won the title more full and bigger or try get the best of both in my opinion he lost to much size and now ramy is on the scene clearly coming in this lighter aint gonna work against ramy

He's in better shape this year,but he sacrificed to much leg size which, When he is fuller his legs don't look too bad but this year it was extremely noticeable especially when next to Big Ramy, Just like Phil's gut is the focal point of his physique, Some guys hide flaws better than others I feel it that the best Brandon can do with his legs is get them to a point where they don't hurt him, At his fullest they look okay from the side ie 2019 Arnold and Mr O, this year they looked smaller, his calves are small as well but unless he is next to a Dorian or M.Matarazzo, besides late 90's early 2000's when Dexter's Dexter's calves were huge with whatever he was putting in them They have always been extremely slight, I don't even remember people saying anything when all of a sudden They were a few inches smaller, Dexter had average to slightly below average thighs from front,but from side and rear they were average to above average pretty much all the time, Brandon has a nice physique and has already won an Arnold and a Mr. O, It's better to be one of the worst guys to win an Olympia then one the best to never win one,he's definitely better than 82 Mr O Chris Dickerson

I like Brandon but for me, his legs from the rear are shockingly poor. Looks really skinny for some reason. From the side they are enormous but it doesn’t translate to the straight-on shots

If Brandon came in shredded, he would look insane! He comes in pretty soft mostly.

When someone says your legs are too soft and too small, then you have a lot of ground to cover. I am worried Brandon is at a point where he is being limited by genetics, and just doesn't have the room to grow.

Better separation in his muscles for 2020 look at shoulders in most muscular. Also more grain and dry from the back 2020. I know hes smaller. I like it better.

Being a littler lighter , but with a little better detail, in 2020, does not equal "he didn't improve". Also it is very hard to compare due to angles and lighting. Also comments like "his legs were twice as big" are so silly that it makes it difficult to take the rest of the video seriously.

I don't like when bodybuilders try to emphasize there adductors to try give illusion of a sweep

I was expecting him to do a Dorian Yates 1993!!! Coming in bigger and shredded to hell!! Still a great physique, but Hadi was better on Saturday night!!!

I think he was nearly identical both years. The lighting for 2019 was more flattering for him so that's why he looks better. His legs still really suck, though.

The lighting was bad last year too, but atleast you could make the competitors look good by editing the pictures brighter afterwards. You can't do that with this year's pictures, the physiques still look dull and lacking in detail.

@@laurikotivuori1585 i guess that makes sense, I like it when the lighting is bright so the detail can be seen by the judges and wont be obscured by a bad backround. But on the other hand shadows emphasize the details as well as hide them, so it sort of a mixed bag for me

Watch all about olympia hindi you tube channel and there is a video exactly reguarding this.. you will know exactly why hadi choopan was 4th and not 2nd.. and curry 2nd and phil 3rd. It was all about the points in the pre and post judging which resulted in this..

@@ramboterminator4366 hadi's points were better in the final judging but phil's were much better than hadi in the pre judging.. and curry's points were consistent in both.. thats why he got a edge and was lucky enough to be placed at 2nd and hadi's and phil's positions came down.. its complicated and at the same time very interesting too.. but the call was very very close for the three and the results could have gone any way.. but brandon luckily edged and hadi was mis fortunate..

My theory is ihink he had synthol in his biceps and had them drained 🤷🏽‍♂️

I don't agree with you. For me this year Brandon Curry version is better than last year. He improved his psyhique, but that wasn't enough.

Looks like he depleted too much, and sacrificed fullness. That being said, the pictures don’t do him justice from this year, he was diced this year.

Hadi got robbed of that #2 spot man. Curry had the worst legs in the top 8 and lacks definition. Looks like hes oily as hell. He has great structure but needs to focus on legs and separation

Compare him to Akim.. And Brandon won't win it again i'm afraid
