    The counter breaking armor is more of a nerf than a buff, since previously Marisa could get a huge punish even in burnout by countering an opponent's drive impact and recovering much sooner than they did.

    Just a few things for me to add here since there's a miss and a couple extra bits of info the charged jump heavies is a change i too underestimated a lot due to the reward on hit being bad, but people tend to block safejumps anyway and they deal a lot more drive chip and are a lot more plus on block (+18 on safejump) which leads to stronger drive chip after landing aswell. Doing something like j.HP 4HP gladius does approximately 0.9 drive bars of chip, whereas doing something like j.[HP] 4[HP] 4HP gladius which does a whopping 1.9 bars of chip, almost forcing your opponent to parry somewhere which lets you run grab mixups a lot easier. the 5LP target combo actually does NOT have increased damage compared to before. the 10% scaling they removed on the TC was removed to counteract the universal light scaling nerf, and she still does less since the TC 2nd hit itself has the 10% extra scaling compared to before, but i think they just didn't want her to LOSE damage on this TC compared to before. As a sidenote, her (usually) better -6 punish is 2LP 5MP into whatever anyway so it doesn't have the biggest impact regardless. One more impact on Ex gladius scaling nerf is that just like regular charged gladius, you can get trades and combo after during the crumple with charged ex aswell. It doesn't come up TOO often because it's armoured longer than normal gladius is, but low hits do still break through ex gladius armour so you sometimes trade with those regardless. Other things that i think others already mentioned: 6HK 6HK juggles from drive rush leading to both a new safejump that works midscreen (ex rekka, drive rush 6HK 6HK, whiff 2LP forward jump) and more damage potential, and parry stance breaking armour being more of a nerf than a buff

    Only two kind of big things you missed. The 6HK TC also works in some of her juggles, so her DP punish damage was actually increased by about 250. And, what I think is actually one of her bigger buffs: the hurtbox on her 5HK was reduced around the feet, so it’s way better at counter poking against low forwards. Other than that a nice QOL change is that the buffer window after OD quadriga was expanded, so it’s less precise to pick up a juggle. Thanks for all you do, Baf!

    @@Bafael It sort of works in tandem with the change to proximity block in that you want to be using it more towards the tip of her HK range. If it’s done at that range I haven’t seen it lose if it’s done at the same time as their low forward.

    The 6HK TC also gives way better combos during existing juggles. Not sure the most optimal route but there's good corner carry and damage off of it, and it combined with the charged HP buff give her even higher damage on big punishes than before.

    The big plus of the charged jump normals being used in safe jumps is she can frame trap with charged BHP after them now. The entire string does over 2 bars of Drive Chip. It's pretty scary.

    The Toward HK Target combo juggling now is a lot of fun. These changes aren't the best changes but she's still fundamentally the same character.... Not like I wouldn't continue playing her, I mean, she's a mountain of a woman.

    Drive impact isn't guaranteed after level 3 anymore. It was pretty common for you to level 3 second and burn them out, leaving them with no option but to get hit

    its not guaranteed with dr crmp- DI. it is however if you do dr - stlk - dr - crmp - DI. Way more bar, which makes it unlikely to land as much but still a thing

    I cant wait for Aki's stuff, i hope her F.HK now has better block proximity range. It also had the infamous issue of people just walking backwards.

    i was planning on learning the character and then they for some reason made her command grab oki worse, and even made it impossible to command grab a drive impact in burnout by doing the 214K. why capcom?

    If I understand their logic : her command grab is supposed to be a "rare" tool to use. Like, her gameplay doesn't revolve around an okizeme with this command grab, because she's not a grappler. Like Abigail had a normal command grab in Street Fighter 5 : at the end, he lost oki with that.
