    Some other stuff that might be worth adding: - St mp on counter hit can now also go into st hk, which can go into the sumo dash launcher, allowing for much bigger damage on meaties and attempted mashing - Both st mp and cr mk can also go into st hp on drive rush, with st mp even being able to go into it on normal punish counter - The combo to get the back hit of sweep into a juggle is sumo launcher -> dr st hk (2 hits) xx drc cr hk, this allows you to get both buttslam and light hands, the latter being even better when you have the buff - The sumo spirit cancel on the tc can be slightly delayed to be as low as +7 which could maybe be used to vary meaty timing to mess up perfect parry attempts, though if you cancel asap you're +13 and can land a meaty cr hp which is +6 oh and 0 ob, as well as being able to force a shimmy mixup - Sumo spirit hands leaving you closer both allows you to get cr lp xx headbutt xx super from most ranges and get cr.lp xx headbutt off of a max range st hp, which was sometimes not possible before - Sumo Smash being a hard knockdown allows for a guaranteed +5 overhead. Alternatively, being +4 after a dash allows you to either force a command grab mixup or get three light normals - EX Sumo Smash being +2 allows you to get a command grab mixup even against someone walking back. The pushback on it was not changed compared to normal Sumo Smash Also you forgot to mention that the overhead kara window was moved back a frame, and I don't blame you since it seems to be a mostly inconsequential change. Just wanted to nerd out a bit and hopefully provide some insight.

    My first thought reading through the notes was, "I'm gonna wait for the Bafael videos" lol. You're a blessing to the community dude. Thanks for making these, they make understanding the changes to the characters I don't play so much more digestible.

    Getting to delay EX buttslam to mess with perfect parry timings is a really intelligent way to buff that move. I think with the exception of Lily, they did a good job addressing the crippling weaknesses of the bad characters with this patch.

    Well lily ended up winning combo breaker against a Luke player so maybe the buffs were more significant than we thought 🤷🏻‍♂️

    @charlieharrington9555 I don't put a lot of stock in tournaments that happen immediately after launch or a big balance patch. Players need time to figure stuff out, so simple, high damage characters like Lily always do really well early on. She's obviously better now than she was season 1, but her gameplan still looks one dimensional.

    @@N00BSYBORG everyone didn't forget how to play SF6 after the patch, "this type of character always does well early on" doesn't really make any sense. She didn't get changed THAT much to think that she was just knowledge checking everyone

    @@chopman5152 It's a big patch, dude. It's not just about knowledge checking Lily. It's about refiguring out your own stuff. Keep in mind there was a universal nerf to crouching normals buffered into DR, which was like a cornerstone of season 1's neutral. That's actually a big indirect buff to Lily now that I think about it since she can steamroll you off one whiff punish.

    I really like these changes a lot, they give him waaaay more variety in neutral play up close. Before the patch, he was fun but his gameplay amounted to Headbutt/buttslam mixups far away, lp-mp tc/command grab mixups up close. I was able to get to Master with him without even using MK as a poke. Being able to use his other buttons more to try and mix up approaches and strings is very welcome.

    Oh right, I heard that headbutt ends sooner if you jump over it, so Honda isn’t full screen again. I haven’t seen it yet but it sounds big

    yeah, if you neutral jump with a normal that crosses up, headbutt basically lands right behind you and gets hit with said crossup.

    I wonder if EX hands as a "spend 2 bars to attempt frametrap but get plus frames if they hold it" is a thing now. +2 is a real mix.

    In the corner, punish counter DI leads to j.2MK 2HK Sumo Slam which is the highest damage i could find spending absolutely zero other resources (hands, super, drive). Using some other resources the normal routes only amount to like 100 more damage

    Seems like they nerfed 'party hard' Honda in favour of giving him more tools to encourage some sort of coherent ground game (or what passes for a ground game in SF6 at least).

    Punish Counter stMP now combos straight into sumo dash launcher. This combo will work at all ranges stMP hits.

    the honda oicho change affects the match vs dhalsim. Meaty oicho used to go under dhalsim reversal level 2, now it doesnt

    Jonda was underrated even season 1. People think hea really bad because of the "random headbutt and buttslam" pnline players out there, but if you play him lile a grappler who does combos and only use headbutts and slams in combos, hes quite solid and under appreciated. Hes not top 8 or anything, but he was fine.

    what is the point of headbutt now, besides combo ender? I guess a meterless way to take drive gauge off of your opponent, at the cost of immediately giving it back to them because they get to press a medium button on you? Maybe only worth it if they only have one or two bars left, I guess.

    It's a great anti air, can move you in when dealing with defensive players and if you space it right you get a throw. And like you said a combo ender. Still pretty useful just not spammy

    I could be wrong on this, but I think the added hitstop when destroying fireballs is actually a nerf, since hitstop doesn't apply on the character throwing the fireball as far as I know.

    They shit on this character. Worst in the game. He was already bottom 3 so now he’s for sure bottom 1 since no one around him received any nerfs. But yeah, let’s buff Luke and Ken though. What a joke.
