I didn't think the Ed/David drawing task could get any funnier but the addition of Alex being uncomfortable with Rose's bra just adds to the reasons it's still my favourite stage task ever.

@@mikkinkead6563 it's suggested that was the reason they changed the teams, removing the awkwardness of a man having to draw across a woman's bra strap, but when Katy brought it up Alex looked as if he never anticipated the disadvantage.

Seeing Alex in these outtakes is like listening to your mum gossip with her friends or your teacher drunk

I love it when two of the contestants strike up a bit of a double act. Egg and David's "odd couple" relationship is easily a highpoint of this series, just as Frankie and Ivo's adorable grumpy, slightly sociopathic uncle/clever-but-inept nephew routine was in their series.

That last clip about the world's longest tongue might be the most I've laughed all week

for UK panel shows that produce 30-45 minute shows, each individual studio record can last up to about 3 hours. mind you, that's not 3 hours of "viewable" material (even in this video's context), that's the time they're all there and activity is happening. for instance with TM, especially for the live tasks that are more complicated with messy props and whatnot, it can take them awhile to fully come back down off the stage and properly into their seats so that Greg can start assessing the points. You can even get a glimpse of this in one of the series 15 episodes, when Ivo is given his low score on one of the live tasks, he says "yeah, I started mentally processing that result about a half hour ago".

@@kevinw712 thanks for the detailed reply. When watching close enough it is possible to find a lot of the edit points. It seems like TM in general has so many outtakes that it would take ages just to get one episode recorded!

I would pay so much money for the raw studio footage. I would watch every single second.

The Ed/David drawing task scene is what I show folks to get them into the show and no one has regrets it.

SERIES NINE MY BELOVED Possibly the best cast the show has had, though 5 and 7 are very close.

It's crazy to me how different people see it. While I did enjoy 9, in my opinion nothing holds a candle to 7 and 15, the two best seasons and cast in my opinion.

Pretty sure each episode would be multiple hours, but I doubt anyone would complain.

The outtakes just make my enjoyment of the seasons even greater. These are fabulous! I always love it when Alex is uncomfortable.

So what did this outtake teach us? It taught us that David is the funniest person off screen, Alex can't pronounce Ed's name properly and the drawing task CAN get funnier.

not long after I first found the show during when series 7 was airing, I conceived my very first "dream 5 lineup", and Sean Lock was absolutely in there. granted I had very little hope of it ever happening, because I think even by that point Sean had said he wasn't too interested in doing any more new panel shows than what he'd already been involved in.

This series is why I hope we get Taskmaster Uncut someday, even if each episode is 3 hours, would be incredible.
