Sea Monster + Island Outpost | Resin Art Diorama

We are back in the West this week-very far west-the Gold Coast, in fact. On an isolated rock formation a little ways off the shore, lies a solitary outpost operated by an equally solitary proprietor. The setting is beautiful, but these dangerous waters are occupied by more than sea lions and sharks.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 love it
I was initially imagining the building as a weather or communications station. However, upon seeing the final diorama I imagine that it is actually a remote scientific outpost, dedicated to studying the weird monsters that live in the ocean of your world. In suitable pulp style, I imagine the scientist was trying to attract a specimen to study, and got more than they bargained for. Great build!

And that could be what the bit sticking out to the side is; I thought it looked like an old hoist or winch, it could be what they use to either lower bait down or hook monsters for study.

This might be my favorite build yet. In my mind the outpost is like a lighthouse but they have sufficient enough technology that it's just a point of interest that gets broadcasted out to boats as a little blip via a radar map, there can be plenty around the coast to map out badlands or just guide boats to ports

Exactly! Like a lighthouse, but with a radio tower instead. Maybe it sends out the tide reports and includes sea monster sightings to warn passing ships of various water hazards along the coastline. "Increased sea snake activity off the coastline of Crystal Point. Be alert, it's mating season for the Rhino Crab, so watch out for randy crustaceans around the Stoney islands...", etc.

Radars and broadcasting is a bit too technologically advanced for the insane West. I'd rather he did it with messenger birds, or a giant megaphone-like contraption. Think of the storm ear from HTTYD. And a giant lamp for when they come within visual distance.
Very cool diorama mate. Your resin pouring was also flawless. I think you need to create a lake in your city with more resin dioramas. 👍👍

Maybe an oasis would be more fitting for a 'desert' setting! Or a well with a monster at the bottom? Still, I love and agree with your idea.
For the outpost, I think there are several possibilities 1) It's someone's get away from the rest of the chaotic world you've built 2) It's a single bandit's, or a few bandit's, hideout for safety, and people are deterred from coming because of the tentacle boi down in the water 3) It is a lookout on the coast, as there are sci-fi flying/ocean-bound/mixture of both pirates always attempting to attack the large mining town (or whatever would be on the coast that generates big bucks), and this is only one of several protecting the coast. This is also one that's further ahead of the large wall/AA defense protecting the town. Undesirables or soldiers who are being punished are sent there to reflect on their actions/get rid of them, as it's relatively dangerous 4) It's a kids hideout he's built up over the years and he feeds the monster and they've developed somewhat of a bond. The kid is a science prodigy and that's why it's so messy with sci-fi griblies

Finally a sea monster. You should definitely tap into the “van meter visitor”, it’s an pterosaur like creature that was spotted in Iowa 1903 in the mid west. the monster has a great wings and a horn that glows a blinding light and was said to fly around and would reside in the mines. Reports say it loves to perch on top of roof tops, I think it would fit perfectly into your Wild West aesthetic.

There has been a couple incidents of giant Pterasaur/Pterodactyl in the Midwest and CA area back in the late 1800', early 1900's that attacked livestock. Supposedly there is a photo out there that shows a group of cowboys standing in front of one that they had shot down. It was nailed to the side of a barn for the photo and had about a twenty foot wingspan.
Again, I just love the storytelling potential of these builds. I’d love to read even a short story about this fellow who sits alone in this outpost, watching, waiting for… something.
Fantastic work, the diorama looks great. That thing on side could be also a water purifier with pipe towards the sea.
The things this man calls good I call a masterpiece
Calling it good is an understatement my friend. These builds are just amazing. That side build, a power supply or maybe a hoist to lift bulk supplies from a boat? It's your story. Thanks for sharing your work, always brings a smile to my Sunday morning. 😎
i love the idea of just taking one little guy from a kit of plastic items and giving him his own story. it’s awesome. you’re doing some really inspiring stuff, man!
nice build and lovely shout out to T-Nu! I'm sure he appreciates it!
Its the "and i called it good" just yess satisfaction
You speak so matter-of-factly when you talk about your sculpting. This is incredible
Amazing Diorama!! And honestly in my mind the little outpost is like a 'firewatch' but instead of watching for bad weather it primarily watches for giant sea monsters and broadcasts it out to ships and settlements so they can avoid it =)
I originally subscribed for the starwars dioramas, but I am so happy I started watching your other videos
also... those silicone meatloaf tray things are a game changer
Loved this build, it felt so homey like I would love to visit there even with the tentacle monster. To me it almost seems like the postmans pet, the monster helps protect the place!
Ok I've come up with an entire backstory for this excellent build: it's a research outpost! The caretaker is a marine biologist that specializes in krakens. He chose this spot because of the baby krakens in the area and studies their growth and socialization. The antenna is for sharing his research to the home base.
When I saw the thumbnail for this video, I got some immediate SOT Ancient Spire Outpost vibes ⛵⚓amazing work
Easily top 3 wild west builds so far. Backed by the Scorpion Double wagon build and witner Mech Wagon. First time viewer
I love this so much! You have inspire me to make my own diramama. Keep up the great work!
Another knock out build. I'm loving this series, keep up the incredible work!
I just found this channel recently. THANK YOU KZread FOR RECOMMENDING ME SOMETHING I WILL ACTUALLY ENJOY
definitely giving. me pirate radio station vibes
Definitely a radio broasting station for maritime monster hunters. Another great vid
Great job as always. I look forward to seeing this world grow and evolve. This one definitely feels like a weather monitoring station to me. Keep up the good work ❤️
Beautiful work! I’m loving your Wild West town! This looks like a high powered communication hub for a large area!
The good thing about these videos is your you think the diorama looks perfect but they find a way to make it look better.
The monster reminds me of the Sarlacc but smaller. Great Job.
Fantastic as usual, love this one. I'm thinking the outpost is a monster spotter tower, like a lighthouse but they broadcast a repeating warning to local shipping when a water monster is active in the area!
This is one of the best series on KZread I’ve seen in a while. Whenever I feel like doing something creative, I watch these for inspiration and they work like a charm. This is an awesome build as well. Something that I’d really love to see is some sort of Native American monster (I know you’ve already made a Wendigo, but I still think more couldn’t hurt.) Maybe even a monster hunting office, where monster hunters go to collect and receive bounties and rewards on monsters. Or even some kind of flying mechanic with Thunderbirds chasing it. I doesn’t really matter what it is, I just love this series. Keep up the good work!
I'm glad you included what a rock is. Years of confusion cleared up.
Damn this has a huge Outer Wilds feel
The best way i know how to relax. Watching boylei craft another little world.
Love how you added extra color to the sci-fi bits
If I were a kid, and this collection was mass produced, it would 100% be my modern "Goosebumps" compulsion to get every set. Or modern "Mighty Max", or whatever- this whole set would be on my Christmas list every single year until I had them all. Like Goosebumps/Mighty Max wouldn't even be in the same ballpark, this would be everything I obsess over. Wow these are awesome.
I always watch this before bed and it gives me good dreams
I like seeing how your "wild west" world translates to other regions. I think seeing a east coast building from your world would be kind of neat.
This turned out GORGEOUS! First thing I thought for the machine on the side was a pully system for a large net to catch fish in

My favourite build series on KZread
My favourite time of the week is when I see a new video from you!
with resin, matte mold makes matte edges, and gloss mold makes clear edges. I have quickly become obsessed with this channel, good job, keep it up.
Love that you added the definition of a rock, also a little shoutout to my home province!😁
I feel like it's a weather/climate station, but less "what's the wind-speed", and more "tracking the radio-disruption given off by thunderstorms". Fantastic work as always, and another lovely, chilled video.
I feel like your videos are cleaning all the dust from my soul, Love from France !
I never get tired of seeing this series. It's like looking directly into your imagination. The device on the side of the outpost could be a winch for bringing stuff up into the shed since it sticks out over the water, you know for larger items that would be difficult to get across the bridge? Also something like an osprey or seagull nest with lots of droppings and fish bones under it would have been a cool touch, and metal like the brass railings in that environment could have quite a bit of corrosion if you wanted to add some weathering.
Coastal tsunami/monster observation post? Truly inspiring as always!!! Thanks.
I dont understand people who watch this video and say it's a waste of time. This looks so amazing and it makes me want to build my own diorama with all the model's I have
That’s one beautiful ice cube
Revelation. You have created a great "atmosphere". I could live there
Turned out great! Good choice using the cake mold👍 bonus being its reusability!
For your next build on the Wild West town, I would suggest a walking hotel. I think that it would go good with the atmosphere.
so relaxing to watch these things get created. nice shoutout to NotB. Enjoying both your content!
that easter egg dunker gave me so much nostalgia
Lightning catcher! To catch lightning for the obvious. But it could be used to make bolts for certain weapons used by monster hunters and such!!! Awesome build as always. Makes me always look forward to Sunday!
I cant get enough diorama video.
Looks like a weather monitoring station to me. Love it.
I believe the building it to track water based monsters and the thing on the side is a way to lure in and capture them!
I love your resign dioramas!!!!!!!!!!
I like to think the man sits on this outpost, very aware of the danger below. Hes been here for years in quiet isolation and each day his consideration of whether to jump and take the plunge gets stronger and stronger.
Man this is incredibly awesome. Highlights for me were the brass railings and metal grating at the observation tower and the flexible bridge. The bridge idea was fantastic and worked great! A very unique piece indeed.
It just struck me that your wild imaginary west creations remind me of the I Spy books I loved as a kid
I believe that the outpost could be a sort of high tech lighthouse, using the box on the side to image the sea floor and the antenna to send the messages to ships.
so amazing the first wild west one i saw i immediately binged all of them
Ooh, one of Reaper’s Bones miniatures! Those are a godsend for painting practice. And I’d say that’s some sort of radio beacon tower to help ships navigate.
Beautiful ! I'm stunned!
Just stunning truly.
All of your builds are so incredible! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Very cool! I think the outpost is an early warning centre, to let the people inland know of attacks coming from the ocean! Model on! 😎
My thought is that this outpost acts as a relay station for the anti-monster signal that some of the explorer's machines put out. The big blocky thingy on the side is a transformer to boost the signal so that it reach the pioneers deeper in the wilderness. This particular location was chosen for the large lake creature; it acts as a deterrent to other monsters and allows the relay station to operate relatively "safely" and unhindered by other creatures. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the lore and the world you are creating; we are certainly invested.
Possibly one of my favourite dioramas yet!
You really could do a whole exhibition with all the wild west projects you've done by now! And I certainly would fly over and visit it :)
Absolutely amazing!
Going thru your video and watching all the creative stuff you make is really an inspiration.
Puts me in mind of a relay station. Love it.
I always look forward to your builds
Man, your works are all like marvels...I love them all piece by piece. Love how you explain what you do while building.
I would says its An Trader Out Post For Flying Ships, And The Big Winch On the Side is for them to Latch on to and be winched in for Traders, The Monster is The guard for water Ships, and Bandits! LOL! LOVE THIS ONE SAVED IT to my FAVS!! EPIC BUILD AGAIN! WOOP WOOP!
That tiny building is amazing
Always a good day when a new video is released
I love the asymmetrical style of this build. It so pleasing to look at. Also great color scheme 🔥
Really great diorama. Great work with the resin. And the house is really nice. Not to much in it. Maybe one of my favourite too. The colours on the house was spot on. And the trees and the red flowers, really made it alive.
how magical, congratulations
Monster, yes! Great diorama and imagination!
One of the best you've done. Loads of detail and easy to follow instructions!
Every time you post it makes my day. Another A+ video.
I love this. Good inspirational guide for any diorama with multiple islands formation
This insane crafting skills. So detailed. I love it
I love watching these videos and they always give me a post apocalyptic world where they went back to the wild west era or like a tatooine feel
Stunning as always, i'll never get tired to tell you how good you and your content are. Keep it up please!
The “Easter Egg Dunker” made Me very happy :)
Love having these videos playing while I work, awesome work
