Two weeks ago, I posted a short video recap of my time in Korea and my search for some model kits to bring home. This week, I used two of those kits to create a house on an ancient lake with a scary visitor.
I also recently started a second channel! It’s called @hobbytimecreations. Go check it out and subscribe! • How to Make Grand Pris...

Yes, because a water dragon attacking a monastery invokes a sense of peace
For once, a monster diorama where the monster is not about to devour someone. And it looks great!
hello. I live in Korea and I'm making a diorama of a hanok. The Hanok and Octagonal Pavilion diorama of this work is really cool. And thank you for making a diorama of Korean hanok in such a cool way. My goal is to promote hanok. Thanks to this, it seems that Korean hanok is known more quickly. I always admire you

Glad you stuck with the authentic Korean kits. I lived in South Korea for four years, and while I'm no expert, I do remember reading that Korean temples are unique, and there are quirks about their design and architecture that are absent in temples built in China or Japan. This makes your design uniquely Korean, and I appreciate that.
I wish I had your patience and attention to detail- I’d love to build something like this! I’ve got so many crazy ideas! 😊

I have a patient and the attention to detail but I don’t have concentration or energy 😅. I hope that when/if you end up making things they turn out well 😊
This is probably one of my favorite builds you have done! Love it when you mix terrain, structures, people, and monsters!
This is a really lovely project. The sense of movement in the dragon model and the water ripples is a wonderful contrast to the stillness of the woman and the rest of the scene. It really tells a story. A lot of your builds have strong story elements, but this one feels more strongly thematic... as though there's a lot more going on under the surface (if you will) beyond the visible scene.
Definitely bring an extra suitcase to Japan. I haven’t spent too much time in their hobby stores but from what I’ve seen you’ll definitely need that suitcase! A wonderful diorama BTW!

From what I have seen of Japan's hobby stores, if I ever go there I will be bringing at least two suitcases and just wear the same clothes for my stay there. 😁 If it comes down to having clean clothes or more models...models will win every dang time. 😊
I'm a simple man, I see boylei post, I watch, I like.
Your pronunciation of Korean words and locations is spot on! Glad you enjoyed your time and found some kits while you stayed here!
I lived in Korea for three years as a kid. To say this makes me miss my time there would be an understatement. Lovely work!
wow that WATER!! just lost all words. this combo looks amazing
I'm korean and always thought those kits are only for the kids. But you make me change my mind. Thanks for the awesome work!
If you steal North of the Border's realistic rock texture secret by using real rocks, I promise to not tell Adam XD This is an amazing sculpt, I envy your confidence and bravery in all of these projects. I can only hope to achieve such skills one day. Stay brave, good sir! ( Seriously, I won't tell Adam! )
Can’t even express how much I love the look of this build! And so thankful you continue to make things that matter to you! Beautiful!

What a beautiful build and a great way to memorialize your trip to Korea. Thanks for sharing, it looks like you had a nice time.
I have been watching you for a while now and I can tell the difference in your voice overs and how you have grown in confidence and the jokes. You who got me in on hobbying and I'm glad I can see your channel grow.
I got sick yesterday with a bad cold and I came here because your videos always calm me down and make me feel better!
Beautiful! I spent almost a year in Okinawa in 1981-1982 and very much remember beautiful buildings like these while visiting the different areas of the island. Your diorama videos are the highlight of my Sunday mornings. Thank you for sharing your visions and your talents. Be Safe and Be Blessed.

I want a Nessie peeking over the shoulder of a researcher studying a book titled something like "The Loch Ness Monster Doesn't Exist". For humor :D
has anyone ever told you you sound like a much chiller middle aged version of tuffnut from how to train your dragon? i mean this in the most complimentary way possible. i like it
I love the words used in these videos. Like "apoxy resin" and "Isopropol alcohol" Love the sound of them
Boylei coming out with the bangers. Keep it up my man
Watching your videos is always so calming and interesting. You also always add a unique story in some way and it really improves the experience. I hope you have a great day!
"These stairs certainly don't meet any standard of safety but then again, neither do dragons." Thank you for that line. You had me literally laughing out loud! :D
"I would have been tempted to buy everything I saw." Every modeler EVERYWHERE.
I like to imagine in this diorama, that the dragon is excitedly telling his human daughter about an adventure at sea
I wish I was this good at anything. I would buy any of these in a heartbeat they are all done beautifully. so satisfying to see the end product each time!
Yessss, another Boylei video!! You are one of my top three favorite KZreadrs who I study to learn how I should make my videos! Another banger of a video, keep it up man! ❤

Can your next diorama be a small fishing boat about to be eaten from underneath by a giant monster?
I love that she's talking to the dragon, this is my favorite build of yours!!
these videos recently have really been giving Casually Explained and I love it
Excellent Asian-themed diorama! This was entertaining and an excellent motivator for model makers!
Beautiful work! A lovely idea to get a model from a place you've visited to make it into a physical memory of your trip.
I love this diorama. It was really interesting to watch as it came together... and then at the end, it made me smile. The "elder" person speaking with the "elder" dragon... passing knowledge to each other or just enjoying the company. Either way it is beautiful. 😇🥰
The rubber roof material is an interesting bit of solutioning. Great execution by the manufacturer.
I love the Monster theme but I would also like a nice calm theme
He looks mad, but she is sweetly serene! Very nice!
8:40 it is kind cute when he says that he is inpatient why talking in the world's calmest and most patient voice
Amazing! I love how well the lady fits into the diorama! Overall looks incredible!
absolutely love your content, narration/humor. the references back to your experience in south korea were a great addition
An absolute masterclass
I like to think this is during the same time as the Wild West series, just on the other side of the world. Cool to show different relationships with the monsters across the world
Excellent! I didn't expect such a beautiful product from two kits found in Korea. The scene of ancient lakeside houses with scary creatures is truly impressive.
I watch this while on break, working at a State Park on a lake. Nice.
More masterful work from the Master himself. Amazing diorama Boylei.
Such a calming channel to watch. Love your builds!
Aww yeah, Wild Imaginary East time
I gotta say, this is one of your best works
This might just be one of your best works
Excellent video as always - love how the dragon turned out!!! Your subtle quips were on point this episode too - they did not go unnoticed.
The water looks so damn good, murkiness is perfect
This might be my favorite diorama by you
The best one yet
Thank you I now have 1 place on my bucket list that I want to visit.

To me, each one is better than the last.
Lowkey one of my favorites you've made
Best diorama video I have ever seen. You have perfected the experience.
Cool scenario! I really like all the wry humour you add, I watch a ton of these diorama-creation videos, and yours are the only ones that make me laugh, let alone multiple times per video.
this is art, a master piece. This is perfection.
Definitely one of your best projects!
by far one of my favourites!!
Easily one of my favorites you've done
your channel is a delight.
what a wonderful return to form! i felt like you lost your spark in a lot of your more recent videos. but this shows me that you've still got it
Absolutely nailed the murkiness of the water to create the real feel of the two worlds.
This is probably the best resin you have done! Great job! I can see bubbles half way up, but it makes it look like there's stuff living down there like algae and other stuff that produce air bubbles because of how dark/murky the water looks!
Resin is a fickle mistress and I love it because for every 3 fails and 2 ok pours I get one absolutely stunning and mind blowing pour that just makes me fall in love with resin all over again.
That is a wonderful scene. Very peaceful looking.
Each video from boylei keeps getting better and better I love these videos
I love the Korean architectural models you picked up and I think that's the prettiest dragon I've seen! I DEFINITELY look forward to your upcoming (someday!) trip to Japan and seeing what model kits you manage to bring home!
Oh, I've never noticed you had been to korea before! I hope you had good time here with your wife. Big fan of yours since the almost beginning!
I think thats the best you ever did, well done!
your videos are beyond perfect, and there's something about them that makes it relaxing to watch
Welcome back you were missed, glad you had a safe trip
Simply beautiful!
You know he’s a pro when he goes across the world to buy some kits
Those Korean kits look so nice. Packaging and everything.
those stairs would be a hell of workout to walk up and down :)
Honestly each of your dioramas could have its own story.
Dungeons and Lasers makes some great stuff. I've never seen that rubber roofing before, I'm already a big fan of that for laser-cut MDF buildings, I'd love to see that in more kits.
It's at the very end when you see the finished piece of art that the true magic happens - not a single detail to pull you out of the scene, the perfection transports you all the way inside. I got chills. Amazing work.
I love your Wild Imaginary West series and all the other cool stuff you do❤❤❤
This was a great diorama as always. I really like Eastern designs so im glad you did something like this. Get well soon as it sounds like youre a little under the weather.
How can you say you have no patience! The amount of detail you put into your projects is far from an impatient person/artist. 😊
Thats honestly amazing, love the fantasy type stuff
Brother, you have a very soothing voice that is enjoyable to listen to 🤌
Amazing and honestly the few air bubbles in the water make it more realistic.
I'm impressed at how precisely similar your layers of resin are. There's a line where the bubbles are different, but at least from your glamor shots that's the only way to tell, the colors are spot on. Very nice overall as well!
Really soothing diorama this time, I love that you're branching out
Congratulations on a successful resin pour.
Wow who knew Korean dragons were so awesome. Great build
Another cool piece! I love that u keep going and adding til it works for you. Great metaphor for life too! Thank you for that reminder!
Yeessssssss another video watch it when it came out and when going to bed 😊
Excellent work! 11:30 - - The finished diorama, with the woman talking to the lake dragon, gives me a "Lake Placid" vibe for some reason. 😁
This one really hits in all the right ways
