The Dead Marshes | LOTR Epoxy Resin Diorama

The Fellowship of the Ring just turned 20! I decided to build something to celebrate! It's hard to believe that Peter Jackson's LOTR universe was introduced to us so long ago.
I know that the scene depicted is from The Two Towers, but it seemed like a good diorama concept to attempt.

Fun fact: Tolkien’s inspiration for the dead marshes came from his time as a soldier in WWI. After a heavy rain, the craters in the field made by artillery shells would fill with water, and if there were any bodies in the crater they would float to just under the surface. Ok, so maybe not a fun fact, but maybe interesting? Beautiful build anyway!

Lembas Bread(tm): first it saves your skin, the it makes a tasty lunch!
This was really different and very cool, especially watching you make the elf from scratch. The swampy base looked perfect and that sculpt of Frodo was quite striking. A very fitting tribute to the film.
The part where the hair was blowing in the wind still has me laughing. Hilarious. Well done as always buddy.

"Loréan" 😂
ΟΚ. That was amazing. I really like LOTR and this diorama is an amazing tribute . 👍👍👍
It turned out really great! The elf looks like he’s staring directly at Frodo. And the Lorean modeling gag got a belly laugh from me. One of my favorites of yours so far!

West gate of Moria w/ the watcher Aragorn and Co. arriving at Minas Tirith Aragorn summoning the oathbreakers Caras Galadhon Bridge of Khazad-dûm Amon Hen part 3 Argonath Helms Deep/ Glittering caves The fellowship going past that one rock Frodo holding the ring above the fires And that’s not even counting and of the Silmarillion locations!

Man, your crafting AND your production are just *chef's kiss*
Dude, I just remembered how my dad took me to see the first LotR movie as a kid. You're laying it down hard...
I like the theatrical cuts, but I love the extended cuts. They add so much detail to the movies.
Your little hints of humor throughout the video are hilarious. They definitely add to the already impressive diorama. Keep up the good work!
Hobby time? Masterpiece time, that's it. Great work, dude.
20 years?? Damn I feel old now.

3D printing has really changed the game for modeling and Diorama
I think the elf armor looks fantastic, and hey-even if you think it looks like bread, bread is natural too!
That Kylo aren’t joke just earned this man my subscription. Congratulations on the diorama.
I support the use of “flame of udûn!” In every video with the torch
Your videos have helped me with my depression. Thank you so much. The way you talk sounds genuine and you seem like a cool dude. I appreciate you a lot.
Id love too see more Lotr dioramas in the future!
Talented, nerdy, and funny. Perfection
You did an amazing job recreating this scene, and 20 years? wow, where does time go to?!
Jeez man, you are better than you give yourself credit for. I’ve fallen out of modeling for awhile and your videos are inspiring me to sit back at my table. Thank you.
I’m addicted to these videos
Awesome video! My son loved how spooky the glowing eyes looked...wooo-oooh!
Well done matching the colors beneath the water exactly with how it looks in the film!
One of my favourite of all time. Thanks for creating this.
Would definitely love more LOTR!!!
We need more creepy dioramas. And man, your resin game is on point. I feel so intimidated by resin. I have seen how easily it can go wrong in other projects. Yours turned out awesome.
Why the hell did i get chills at the end credits? Bravo good sir!
20 years.... 🙈cant believe it. i am so old😂. great work!❤️
The illusion of depth in the water is fantastic, it feels so spooky!
Stunning work, love it...“Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.”
I’ve spent the last three days binge watching the extended editions of the LOTR trilogy, this video was a perfect addition to my playlist. Amazing work, as always.
Definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie, when Frodo falls into the swamp. You brought the scene leading up to that out perfectly. Amazing job, as always. 👍
Really good job on Frodo's face! And I do like the glowing eyes. Also, good save on the imperfections in the resin. It seems so much of being good at a skill is knowing how to save the work you have already done and not have to redo it.
Jesus this is one of my favorite episodes just for the constant refrences 😂
I’ve just finished marathoning the 3 Hobbit and 3 LOTR movies (extended editions). This scene has long stuck in my mind. I’m so thrilled you chose this very moment to memorialize. Your skills at modeling and painting are impressive, to say the least. As a fan of The Hobbit and LOTR for 40-50 years and a fan of the movies for, now, 20 years, I love this.
20* years already?? WOW! Nice work btw.
Love it. Your humor is on point. Certainly won’t complain if you do any more LOTR. Keep up the awesome work.
Loved the hair ad, was a great add on! Loved the humor. Always love these videos, keep it up.
More LOTR dioramas please!! Great job
The best project ever!!!! Congratulations!!!

Hilarious I love the personality that you being it’s what makes you, you. And you are great so thank you for sharing, thank you for your time and thank you for your creation, truly.
This was in my opinion the creepiest scene in the 2nd movie. The part when Frodo was staring at the corpse underwater. Seeing that white pale dead elf still kinda creeps me out. Great diorama btw!
I love LoTR and had no idea this is the 20 year anniversary today! This is insanely beautiful and really made my morning.
That's downright spooky how good this turned out. I especially like Frodo's head, hair and face. Just like the movie.
Creepy but rightly so! Amazing work!

That turned out great. Might have to re-watch LOTR again for the umpteenth time now. Thx for sharing.

Seeing this was posted five minutes ago as I’m sitting here seeking inspiration for a diorama I’m making is absolutely perfect timing.
Man this is so cool and nostalgic. Do Legolas sliding down the Olyphaunt next please.

Great paint job on Frodo, and cool idea overall.
This is great! You should do more LOTR dioramas!
Oh that's so cool, I remember the scene of hobbit , when Azog is under the ice.
Incredible. You're diorama really captures that feel from the scene. LOTR is still an impactful trilogy, today.
You are a true artist! Absolutely amazing!
Favorite video you've made so far 😄 love the references sprinkled throughout!
Wow, nice job. Totally captures that scene.

The work you’ve done with this diorama is beyond epic. With all the scenery and characters from LOTR, you can create so much awesomeness 👍👍👍
Stunning… You captured that moment perfectly.
Ridiculously talented
Nicely done, the Frodo figure is especially nice, the face really looks like Elijah Wood. I am always amazed at how real and natural your dioramas turn out.
What an amazing diorama, Lord Of The Rings is an amazing series. I am just learning how to build dioramas, I am watching all your videos to learn more.
This is so badass, please use more lights in resin it gives a beautiful effect!
