I started shadow boxing to cuban salsa because of these videos. I swear this music was made for combat arts 🤣🤣 The rhythms match exactly the speed you should be moving. I felt so in tune with my flow state.

Sparred a pro boxer back in the 90s who had also been a professional dancer. I couldn't touch him.

FR man boxers who do another movement art improves footwork to the next level. Cause of their other classes teaching precise movement and how to use it to it's fullest. Been in the same boat and even as a high accuracy striker. Someone like that would make me whiff over 60 percent of my shots. Fought a friend of mine with a similar background. And do to that plus his absurd reach I was just swinging at air most of the time. Would take bare minimum five slips before I could finally get past his jab. And that never guaranteed any of my in fighting setups.

I did break dance and body popping it’s true, I just have a different flow to others and have always been more interested in headmovement and defensive footwork more than punching, I love evading punches it’s way more stimulating to me than landing a punch

Imagine someone beating you to death while this song plays on repeat. Then the guy emotes on you as your soul slips out of your body.

For myself when I slip to the left I tend to always step with the left at the same time. This makes the liver shot counter easier and it brings me further away from their left hand, giving me a higher likelihood of landing my punch first.

Most important is proper work, keep showing how is done right 👍👍

Thank you so much this leveled up my slipping i was confused on why it was so hard but i wasnt rotating my feet so im right handed so when i slip left i just rotate my back foot but when i slip right i move right foot to the side a bit and rotate front foot a bit thanks😊😊

😅😅😅 switch gyms immediately. The technical stuff is so good that when you learn it you can build your own system. cardio you can design a program on your own EASILY

When I trained with Cambodian kickboxing champion Chan Rothana, we primarily trained to Cuban and Puerto Rican music. It was odd hearing music I grew up to while in his gym in Cambodia. Perfect boxing music

This channel has taught me some gems that I wish I knew before I hung up the gloves. Lately, whenever I struggle with some of the drills I used to do with ease, I calm down, listen to some salsa or afrocuban jazz, and I just focus on the rhythm. My body knows how to move. It's the timing that needs to be honed again. When I just focus on the music, loosen up, and have fun, I move like I'm 25 again 😂.
