It is hypocritical to condemn Russia for atrocities when you understand what the Ukranians have carried out against Russians in eastern Ukraine ever since this puppet government was installed in 2014, not to mention that he has closed all media except for the government’s, barred any person from running against him, banned religion, formed and nourished a band of pseudo Nazis and is sending teenage boys to die in his futile war. The average life3 span for a Ukrainian soldier on the front lines is 3 hours.

Yeah - the research team found a year-old headline in Politico, published 24.2.2022, and use it like it was today. Russia’s fossil fuel export revenues in January-February 2023 have fallen 50% below their 2022 peak, with revenue from exports to the EU falling almost 90%. Fortunately revenue from exports to India are also falling. In total the Russian Federal income is down by ~25%.

There “is” a difference that I’m sure you perfectly understand but because of your own biases are conveniently ignoring, the Europeans are dependent on Russian resources and can’t just cut them off cleanly and have to find alternative supply, that takes time, energy is inelastic when it comes to supply so it isn’t easy but they are doing the work to make that happen, but at least they are condemning the war and helping Ukraine fight back. India isn’t dependent on Russia for anything and is just taking advantage of the situation for cheap oil for its own interests not because it needs it, fair enough in a purely cold rational nationalist self-interest way, but at least be honest enough to admit it, and at the same time India is not joining the rest of the world to put Russia under pressure for it to end the war to stay “neutral.” So where does the hypocrisy really reside?

In this piece they only mention an increase of European LNG gas imports from 16 billion Cubic meters to 22 billion cubic meters as an increase of gas import of 37%. But they do "forget" to mention that there is hardly any gas import via pipe lines. Just nord stream I alone (1 of 6 pipe lines to Europe) is no longer in used resulting in an DECREASE of gasimports of 55 bilion cubic meters. So I do believe they did their resarch, but blind people like you do not use your own brain and believe them without questioning if they tell you EVERYTHING. Now who is the stupid one????

And we the indians , no better . Fir 60+ years we had a puppet govt that danced to western and chinese tunes . Now we have a nationalistic , selfless Man leading the country nd trying to be good to the nation nd the workd but they wouldnt let him. They tried hard to stop Modi from giving vaccines to other poor countries , create a false propaganda that minorities ( moslems)are oppressed in India . How can a 350 million people be a minority in a secular, democratic country . Ofcourse the reality is different . It is the majority who is harassed by the minorities. Wa Po, NyTimes, Guardian, BBC, CNN, Al jazeera has a very different story to portray. Anyone who wants to see the truth must visit nd live here for a few months . 🙏🏼

Sanction *do* affect European business. It's visible. Now, *double standards are real* and are a serious issue. The biggest issue in Western world is, I think, the little power governments have on big private compagnies, and the *too much power big private compagnies have on governments.*

So to sum it up, someone in India got butthurt by Zelenskyi's comment and purposefully doesn't want to understand the context. Naturally the EU is still buying gas and minerals from its neighbour, these things doesn't change overnight. What she forgot to mention is that the total trade balance between EU and Russia has significantly decreased throughout the year while countries such as China, India and Turkey is filling this gap. India's trade with Russia has increased with approx. 10 times the size than before. This way of cherrypicking numbers and not giving a clear view of the full picture can be seen as misinformation or populism.

Better news than anything we get in the UK. Although its sort of funny - Imports have increased and we all know we are buying plenty of Russian fuel. Yet my Energy bills have doubled. I want out of this rubbish, i didnt vote for a war against Russia and the crippling costs it would bring.
