This is great, I just picked up Destiny and Discovery and needed a good resource for GMing the setting!

Thank so much for this amazing example! Could any one explain why Elden's illsuion didn't wokr on the "metallic octopus" ? I didn't know lore could have that much of a say in play, I would understand that the impossible should be avoided but an implant that creates illusions by "invading" the target's field of view, sounds legit ?

Her illusion wouldn't work because there is a tech suppressing field presumably around the creature. And because her illusion ability is because of tech implant, her illusion tech wouldn't function.

I wish the dm was better prepared for questions he’s asked. Just kinda shrugs them off, like he wasn’t even prepared at all

You mean like he was improving instead of overpreparing for every contingency? It's almost like he has limited time due to...I dunno, running a business or something. 🤔

It's a style thing. I like Monte's approach, it gives it a more collaborative feel.
Love the game but Darcy seems so smug and fake. Tough to look at.

I agree with Roque. I also don't understand the point of making that kind of comment. Maybe let's try to stick to the high ground and not make personal comments about the players?

Any GM would be grateful to have a player like Darcy. She's smart, engaged and quite pleasant.

@@carabidus I agree. If anything she steps back and seems to encourage other players to be in the spotlight. I believe these days she works for Darrington Press with the Critical Role team.
