Or maybe we have no clue how old the world is, but just THINK we do. No, KNOW we do. The Christians KNOW, the geologists KNOW, the physicists KNOW. EVERYONE KNOWS. But maybe no one knows shit. And if some scientists or whoever could really figure out beyond any shadow of a doubt how old the Earth is I know I'd have no fucking clue whether they were right or not. So many of the scientific facts that so many of us believe in are nothing more than that, beliefs. And definitely, I go with "scientific" beliefs over religous or spiritual, but they are still just shit I believe in. Guess I'm just a skeptic about everything and recognize, in my own experience, that no "facts" or "beliefs" convince me that they are definitely even in the ballpark of being true. The whole carbon dating thing has been brought into serious question by a number of scientists. I can believe that scientists have figured out that the Earth is 5 billion years old or whatever, but I, personally, can't KNOW that that is so, or not. When the science doesn't pertain to something that can be created or done right here, right now, in my mind it's no better than religous faith. Didn't intend to blab on so long, but to some up, I, personally, don't know shit, including knowing what others know or don't know. Maybe there are some geologists out there that know beyond any shadow of a doubt how old the world is.

@chrispmar I mean look into geology. It's pretty well documented how they determine the age of things. It's not a mystery, if you think they're wrong disprove them.
