People don’t get sick from magical flying Boogey germs. They DEVELOP the “illness” following the resolution of the upsetting event that caused it. Just like they DEVELOP cancer. If you can’t “catch” cancer, you can’t “catch” anything else. The Germ Theory has been fraud for 110 years. Repeating it over and over does not make it true.

Fantastic podcast on every level. Neal being funny and insightful. Bert, wait for it, talked the perfect amount. Love ya buddy. Neal even turns the talk towards Brent at times to explore the conversation they had in the moment. I bet Bono is somewhere saying I had a great conversation with this comedian named Neal. Well done.

Was pleasantly surprised to see a new Neal Brennan spesh last night!! Was great! It really is a commercial for Ayahuasca by how much more upbeat he seems now 😆

Listening to Bert explain things is maddening!!

I really needed this conversation. Both of you are great comedians and podcasters. Bert I feel you on this. "What's my second act. It's so hard to root for myself. I'm stagnant." Check. Check. Check. Was an educator (behavior/psych kids) for 15 years. Left maybe 6 months before the pandemic trying to get unburnt out. Haven't done a single thing in 4 years (pandemic/general anxiety) and have no idea what I'm doing. At 41 I'm too damn old for this shit. As a woman at this age I have to justify my existence (no career, no husband, no kids). Like what even am I? Anyway, I feel you Bert. You are doing well and like Neal said you love comedy so come at it with this love and joy. On the 9 month vacation do things you love (spend time with your family, eat awesome food, reconnect with joy). It'll spark jokes 100% Comedy comes from living. You can't be a great comic just staying in and not experiencing life. Sometimes stepping off the hamster wheel you get time to just breath and exist which sparks magic. YOLO lol

Neal Brennan’s resume is top tier for comedy. Dude has been around since All That! on Nick as a writer.

Bert brought up that "what happened between 1620 and 1776" question before and I like to think I know US history, at least a good outline, but I was coming up with almost nothing. I wish someone would tell him about the Salem Witch Trials though. That would lead to some good comedy I'm sure. That was my first thought when he first mentioned it. Truth be told, the population during most of that time was less than 100,000. Most were just trying to survive the winter
