yes, this Sim is nice, I play for many years nor rFactor 1 and now rFactor 2 ! Very nice driving and you have some Laserscan Tracks like the 2018 Nordschleife. It`s fantastic. Have fun!

Agree wholeheartedly. When I first tried rF2, I found it almost impossible to go back to other sims. This was the only one that felt like actually driving a car. The tyre model and FFB is unreal.

Hell..., yeah..., Brother....!!!! ;-) I've just purchased my copy of "Sebring" and I'm "SOLD"...!!! This is the SIM of all SIMs' in the market. The love for this ecosystem is long overdue...!!!! Thanks for posting this content as it is current and accurate. Thank goodness (rF2) exists. Keep up the good work here man. ;-)

I own all the other racing games (including AC, Project cars, PC2...), but rF2 is still in my opinion the best, most realistic one. The Ai is so realistic and even their mistakes and loss of control are very realistic. Plus if your machine can handle it, bumping the graphics to max may not give you the same graphics as the newer titles, but it still has beautiful graphics. Yep: The King!

Jumped into the formula Renault 3.5 at Silverstone, after doing the 6hrs of Nurburgring vln on iRacing a few days before and rfactor2 blows iRacing out of the water.

Endurance pack & GT3 Packs on laserscanned Sebring and the Porsche 917k on Spa ‘66 are the best combo’s in simracing...especially with an OSW DD wheel....you cant get a more real life physical experience than that in ANY sim....just keeps putting a huge smile on my face every time I race those track/car combo’s....and it gets only better with the Nurburgring Nordschlwife laserscanned track coming out end Q1!

Rfactor2 and AUtomobilista still are best SIms out there when it comes to FFB und Physics!!

Dan's you should do a video on force feedback settings for rfactor 2, I think a lot of people get discouraged at it because they can't figure it out right off, I know I did when I first started, I come back later like two years later and I finally got figured out. I think that might make the the popularity of factor2 grow. as always great video.

i was never fan of rf2 until they released laserscanned sebring, that feel in the wheel is incredible

Ive been with Rf for around 11 years now, taught me shit loads. On every aspect in simracing

rf2 physics and tyre model parameters for devs and modder is simply mind boggling. This sim is the real deal. I like AC and RR and rf1 (with leo and real feel), but rf2 is just in it's own league.

I tried rFactor2 for the first time today. I have Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione and would say rFactor2 Force Feedback and physics are far better than the others. And they weren't terrible in the first place. It's so immersive and also hardwork in a good way with a Fanatec DD1. What a sim!

I had been away from sim racing in general for at least 3 years - just started in the last month, and I have to agree that rFactor’s FFB provides the most the most minute details of all of them (hearing you say that RealFeel is the default FFB driver in rF2, it makes sense now). I have to give credit where it’s due though - iRacing’s has gotten much better at translating the “feel” of the curbs - but playing around with the new Ferrari at an old favorite (Toban) today really made me appreciate it. If it feels fantastic with my now ancient G25, I can only imagine what a mid to high end wheel must be like!

The VR implementation in the latest builds are also awesome. Im more of an Asseto Corsa guy, mostly because my friends and the community, but i must admit that rFactor2 has a better feel to it, more "organic" lets say, i feel more connected to the car.

I agree that RF2 has the best feeling force feedback out there. You know exactly what your car is doing in this game. It makes driving that much more enjoyable for sure!!

I bought my G29 2 months ago and was wondering if it was in good working order-coz no game had "proper" FFB to me.Until i tried a week ago RF2.So much fun on Nordschlaife..Im enjoying racing for the first time! This vid came as a surprise to me and i understand everything you said -its true! Edit: Also WRC8 has a surprisingly good FFB feel ..

Absolutely correct fully agree it's not even debatable the closest I've seen to rF2 for physics I would have to say PC1 NOT 2! with that snap overseer it's undrivabke with a wheel. But project cars 1 is pretty darn close to rF2 for real feel driving.

People that argue about which games physics are the best should seriously just unplug your power for your force feedback on wheel and race like that. I lost my power brick on my wheel for quite some time and rf2 still played great. It is not the FFB that dictates the physics of a game, more people need to observe how the cars react within the virtual realm and stop relating physics to FFB. That being said I now have a new power brick and the only games I can truly sit down with on a weekend are Rfactor 2 GT Legends Race 07 There is a familiarity within the gMotor2 engine that makes everything else feel a bit artificial.

Physics engine dictates the FFB... a Sim that has to offer tweak options in the setting menu (besides of plain gain level) to alter that, just have a bad physics model.

Rfactor 2 and raceroom are my two current faves ;)

I still play the first rf with all my f1 mods 👌🔥

If i start it i get a memory error and im stuck in the launcher i do have some mods so il delete them but any tips?

I agree it has the best feel of all the sims I've played including R3E and Assetto Corsa and I love those sims but I have better feel and better performance with RF2 because I can actually feel the limit of the tires.

Agree, I am rebuilding my motion rig. Tried all the sims, the rF2 absolutely the best, peroid. Now, with my new rig, I no long play other sims any more.

At the moment i dont have the nice feeling, that rfactor 2 has a good force feedback. Can you show me your ffb settings? i have a thrustmaster t150.

What are your ffb settings? I cant seem to get them right, on the mid speed corners, there is a massive deadzone and then the wheel just starts turning into the corner. Also on curbs and bumps, the wheel just clips like hell

@@TheMomotarosu18 check and make sure that you don't have steering help turned on in the settings just before a session. I had a similar problem when that had been turned on accidentally.

I did that yesterday, when the degrees of rotation on the wheel kept changing. It fixed that problem but not the ffb

you are %100 correct i jus bought it today and i play i racing and A.C all day A.C with all dlc and drift free roam mods everything and i drove rfactor today for the 1st time and i am a believer in the king YES rfactor is SIRE and i live in its kingdome of 100 car races omg wowo sick

After all this years you recomendo me to play rfactor 1 with the real feel plugin? Rfactor 1 have a lot of amazing mods. Whats your opinion?

Rfactor 1 does have some amazing mods. But I would say assetto corsa now has the same if not more mods and it's a much newer sim. If its mods you want stick with AC. If it's pure physics and ffb go with Rfactor 2

My top 4 list... 1: Rfactor 2 , best sim in my opinion. 2: Assetto Corsa , looks great and close to Rfactor 2 regarding physics. 3: Race room Experience , looks great and the sounds are awesome. 4: Project Cars 2 , I go there for the eye candy.

Have to completely agree! For physics rF2 is easily number 1! I'd say iRacing is 2nd. What lets rfactor2 down is the graphics and content. Yes there are some great cars and tracks available, some of which look quite good graphically but the sim generally lacks in the visuals department. Though it is getting better.

GTR2 based on rFactor 1 had very hard to catch oversteer. Does rFactor 2 oversteer is hard to catch? Comparable to iRacing?

Johann Daart no they have done a great job of letting you understand right when the car is about to step out giving plenty of time to correct. No snap oversteer!

u encouraged me 2 try rfactor 2 again. i tryed it once but couldnt setup d wheel n force feed back correctly so i just went back 2 assetto corsa. u sayin d physics r so good n im all about physics so ima try it again

Have played it on a motion rig and it felt pretty good but still prefer AC or PC2, mainly for multiplayer. rF2 has so many issues that I can't even get the demo going

iv'e only played RaceRoom so that is all i have for comparison as far as FFB is concerned. is it better in rFactor 2? and how is the population. the population in RaceRoom is pretty low.

you can use steamCMD software to create dedicated servers about all steam games. i was trying to create server too using the launcher but didnt work. even with portforwaring

Even though it uses the older engine, I think AMS is better and more consistent from car to car. Some cars in rF2 are amazing (endurance pack). Others are terrible.

Mike Smith agreed. AMS is on point as well! Some of the third party cars are not as well built in reactor. Very few are actually built ground up by the devs.

I'd love to get into rf2 but setting it all up ffb, specially cockpit veiw fov I can not do any of it same as ams so annoying, I've just installed ams and rf2 set everything up then messed up the cockpit view couldn't get in the cockpit at all

from my understanding there is no such thing as a ffb engine in rf2,the ffb is derived striaght from the physics of the steering components

Good video just fyi you’re confusing ffb with physics around 5:00. Ffb, physics and handling are all separate and very important things on their own in sims.

I actually play Automobilista because I like offline championships with good AI. But Rfactor 2 doesn't have this mode 😢

S397's rF2 is out of beta and is only dx11 now. If you opt for any of the beta builds you'll be getting an older version than is currently available. 1110 is the most recent build.

I'm not sure if the 'post effects' from the settings in the launcher were forced on in previous builds. This could explain the enhanced graphics. Turning on the post effects will give the all singing and dancing graphical effects but can be pretty resource heavy. Second paragraph -- www.studio-397.com/2018/04/release-of-build-1110/

Dan DiMaggio For the latest dx11 tech in rf2 you need to opt out of any betas

iRacing feels horrible. I've always felt that it feels horrible. They just have a good system and lots of customers so you can always race. But the cars don't feel like cars at all. It feels like a video game that is overly hard. Cars just break traction with no warning at all and spin endlessly. The new tire model makes them feel even worse.

Physics in rfactor2 are actually partly cheated by correction parameters (devs are frequently complaining about this). Yet they help to give it an excellent FFB feel. But physics alone, ACC and iRacing are more truthful -> they don't cheat with stuff that is not derived of the physics engine. Regarding iRacing that turns out bad in cars which do not have an enough advanced ntm7 model. In the Skip car it is fantastic and better what you get in rfactor2, in other cars like GT3 cars it still sucks and is far off of what rfactor2 provides. Yet rfactor2 does a good job, balancing true physics vs. a bit "cheating" to make it feel well - it is therefore also one of my favorite when it comes to FFB feel. Another thing is AMS2, that is a bad engine cheated to feel like rfactor2's feel, but not really achieving. A shame!

Stubs R3E is great but not in the same physics level of rF2 though !

Love the feel and yes you are right on those points, BUT.... It so poorly optimized... It doesn't perform well with cpu performance.. They say its because of the.physics but i see ppl with i9 gtx 1080ti's having cpu issues... I have tried and tried to get it stable, but i have so little time to race why would i waste it with rf2... Iracing feels like a premium product.... No issues ever.... Expensive, but at least it works.

I've never been able to find good ffb settings in Rfactor2 on my CSW 2.5 Keep in mind that I haven't editef that J.son file they have, is the secret in there? Lol.

Justin, Have you used the 3d party FFB overlay to ensure you are not clipping? Also, yes, some of the settings to be tweaked can be found in the player.json file. One of the reasons I think so many drivers shy away from rF2 is the fiddly nature of the sim. So many more variables can be adjusted compared to every other sim. Because of this complexity many drivers don't feel they should be bothered to make adjustments to best suit their particular sim racing hardware setup. Many think it should be "Plug and Play". For the best experience making these adjustments is critical. rF2 has by far the best FFB and Physics systems in the business and it required the end user to do some work to make it really shine. So get in there and make the system work best for you. BTW the S397 forums are a great place to fins help in making the adjustments to your files and setup.

the physics are code, the code is deeper in rf2. the newer sims look better but under the hood rf2 is better. ISI wrote some great code for this sim...

It must be added, that the physics are only as good as the developer (or modder) is able to replicate. I have driven some terrible mods in rf2. Also, if the base car you are replicating has poor physics then the sim will also have poor physics. This is not a slight on rf2 but on poor mods and poor real world car physics. A lot of people seem to conflate good physics with "easy to drive" due to light car, grippy tyres, and high downforce, when in reality, the sim may not be replicating real world parameters authentically.

Damn right it is!!!! I see no reason to race other titles.

rfactor 2 is gettin better on graphics, maybe not like asseto C Racerrom etc, but in a real simulator world, Rfactor2 is still the king by far, but USE FFB AT 5 TO 6 then ou will learn how is to drive a real racing car.

Try VR.. it amplifies it, and physics feels weird in most cars. AC and iR - where it feels fine.

Waiting 5 minutes for le mans to load sure gets old though....

only Sebring is good, all other content is outdated, awfull and ugly.
