Restorative Yoga for When It's Difficult to Be Still

This restorative yoga practice is for when you find it difficult to be still, but you still want to turn inward to receive rejuvenation. We'll prepare our body for lying in savasana by first moving intentionally through gentle asana and techniques informed by Ayurveda. By working with the guna of rajas - movement and action - rather than against it, we allow ourselves to eventually receive quiet rest. When imbalanced, a rajasic nature can lead to burnout, exhaustion, anger, or irritability. Return to this restorative yoga therapy class whenever you want to be still, but find it difficult to do so.

May you experience even a brief second in this class when the mind is in the body along with the breath. You don't have to feel peaceful all class long to know the truth. Just one moment of peace is the experience of yoga, and that is a taste of eternity. 🙏🏻

hi caren...i haven't viewed this yet but i've watch a lot of your other ones and you are the only one using props to this level and i love it...i used to practice with steve ross back in the day as well as on and off, but i've been back 5 - 7 days a week since last august. i've equipped myself with all the props and i am comfortable enough of them with other practitioners...i have done a month of restorative yoga and its a treat to do for me and i love it! i watch on tv and rarely comment but i love that you are still here after all these years and i will continue to watch your earlier videos...your method helps me with a negative knee and tight as heck hips from car accidents and lack of movement, also if i am focusing on a chakra i've used your videos..i grew tired of compensating for the pain which then knocked my whole body off, so restorative makes me feel i'm putting it back in alignment. i've noticed a difference...i practice monday - friday but i often treat myself with a restorative on the weekend. i've got to explore all your videos because i'm interested in your breathing video and your book. okay, that should cover all the times i didn't comment! :)

It's a beautiful healing practice. I publish these classes and never know who's on the other side, so thanks for reaching out. Looking forward to continuing to practice together! 🙏🏻

I think it’s empowering to practice what you need every day and find a class that matches that. We’re always changing, and what I might choose for one day might not be the best for you. ❤️
