well...Bayern is a harsh environment. Its the best club in the world now for 4 years or so...with a short intermezzo of man city last year having more points in the UEFA coefficient. But really for the past 4 years bayern was pretty much always onthe top spot of the UEFA ranking..which says A LOT considering the Premier league has such a much higher coeficient or each game...bayern STILL being 1st is crazy really. But it also comes with draw backs of course. THis is one of them. Its really hard to just "give people a chance" ad almost impossible to give them a second one... Ill tell you something that you can ALWAYS go by that will in a BLINK tell you how good a TEAM and how good THEIR MANAGER is if that team plays in the top 4 of their league. If your team performs GOOD in the Champions league. BUt BAD in the league. Then its always always a bad/problem with the coach. If its the Reverse then its always a problem with the development/ability of the players. Because everyone wants to perform in the CL. Meaning if you're not performing there your players just cant cut it. With the reverse of course also showing the reverse outcome in the league.

@@vinzw5609 Exactly. The club leadership would not sack a coach which cost 20m€ and would have his contract paid out to the tune of several €10m based on one or two games. Also the Bayern are not in a bad spot either. I think the issue is down to either: chemistry (between him and players or board) which means that regardless of JN's quality - Bayern saw dark clouds on the horizon which ultimately would spell failure in the CL and or BL. or tactical descisions. In the losses against various BL teams he was obviously also at fault for making bad tactical descisions. But he would rarely display any self criticism in the press conferences which is not the issue. But if he had the same stance internally, then it would be a problem. If after making some repeat errors there is no insight, then the leadership of Bayern would rightfully be afraid that things could go pair shaped. I think if the window of availability of Tuchel would not have closed soon, they would definitely have stuck with JN till the end of the season.

It was always expected that Nagelsmann would 'struggle ' early on as a young coach on an established team like Bayern. I am also puzzled by the move as a Bayern fan. I hope they know what they are doing over there a Saebener Strasse. The question is not whether Tuchel is better than Nagelsmann. He has certainly more experience. However he's not a good fit for Bayern. The control that he wants he won't get it from Bayern's board. Tuchel will get fired in no time. And that would be a pity for the team. There's has not been stability on the head coaching chair since Pep left in 2016. Kovac, then Ancelotti, then now Nagelsmann, all fired mid-season in their second year.

They have one of the two or three best squads in Europe, Bayern has high expectations. Psg and Barca are flawed teams, whether or not Bayern are "perfect" could only be evaluated against City, and the Bayern board weren't convinced Nagelsmann would do the job there so they didn't take the risk. But the biggest factor is what Jan said. If you wait even say 4 weeks from now, it's highly possible that Madrid is out of the UCL after which they will immediately sack Ancelotti and go for Tuchel, and Tottenham could have done so as well at any point in the coming weeks. Bayern took the harsh decision in order to not let this window pass, and it may be decisive in this season and their future.

with this squad, bayern cant really make any mistakes. they are all pros and versitile. there has been a lot of transition in recent history from heynkes to guardiola, from kovac to flick. neuer, müller, kimmich, coman, goretzka, are all experienced bayern dudes. Mane, Gnabry, Sane, Canselo are all in a hole, they only can improve under tuchel. There is nothing to lose now. Even with Nagelsmann there is absolutly no garantee that they manage to win against city. Tuchel is the only manager that kept the psg stars together and has a good record against guardiola. I dont see madness here:) The only concern i have is that salihamicic seem to have ego problems with independent managers, he had it with flick and he seems to have it with nagelsmann. Tuchel is also known as a person who isnt "agreeable" and he demands a lot of understanding from his players. The inner players circle at bayern also seem to had a lot of issues with kovac and nagelsmann. Flick was allright with his friendly style of handling issues.

Yes, sometimes the performances weren’t up to par to the eye but they would get results. Now Bayern goes and takes a HUGE gamble with Tuchel expecting him to win every silverware possible. Bad move by Bayern and will be embarrassing if Tuchel fails. Nagelsmann will be fine and undoubtedly be headed towards Madrid.

As a Chelsea fan, I am proud and happy for Thomas Tuchel. He did a great job at Chelsea wining the Champions league I his first season. Now I think some of our unhappy Chelsea players might fancy a move to reunite with Tuchel.

If the board decides they want to move Havertz with the team needing a true striker and Nkunku and Felix likely joining at the 10 position, Bayern should be the first place they call.

Then why Hans Flick not get sacked after Germany could not pass group stage. I hope same rule should apply if he did not bring consistency in result before euro.

@@keimotaylor6112 our performance in UCL was the best defensive Preformance since July 2013. He was starting to evolve and it’s easily seen our preformance vs Barca first match and is vs psg in the 2nd match. I blame the players who are moody (especially Gnabry, Sane, Gotetzka and we saw this in the WC)

The board has been crazy, bought a young coach with astronomical price. They said Nagelsmann is their long term future and the board not have any problems with him. Futhermore, the board not sack him when needed/expected before, but sack him by now when not expected/needed. 🙄😓
