Darren Lewis and Melissa Reddy discussed the touch-line spat between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp.
Mo Salah said "if I speak today there will be fire" after clashing with Jurgen Klopp on the touchline during Liverpool's 2-2 draw at West Ham.
The incident occurred while Salah, who had been dropped from the starting XI following a much-criticised performance in Wednesday's Merseyside derby, was waiting to come on with 11 minutes remaining at The London Stadium.
Klopp turned to Salah on the touchline after a missed West Ham chance, and the pair exchanged words before Salah was pushed away by Joe Gomez and Darwin Nunez.

Mo Salah's comment has been taken the wrong way. I think he meant that the media would light a fire under anything he has to say, not that it will blow up between him and Jurgen. They are both under huge pressure right now, the scrutiny and the spotlight is on them. They aren't under any obligation to explain anything to anyone. Let it go. Salah and Klopp have been amazing together. This is all pretty understandable.

I think that's fair. Remember that English is not Salah's first language. "There will be fire" isn't a comment I've heard before. We are giving it the normal English reading, when who knows what Salah meant?

A good lesson in management; quick and decisive actions will avert trouble at a critical time. Example: Pep let Cancelo move on and won a Treble in the same season.

OH MY DAYS THAT WAS COLD.🥶.
The fact is, Liverpool are a victim of their own established name and fan expectations. Because we were, until so recently, on for a quadruple, people have forgotten that we literally had to overhaul our entire midfield after losing 4 first team players. Mac Allister, Endo, and Szosozlai have barely been at the club for a season and suddenly expectations from last season have skyrocketed. Purely because of that, many are labelling the season a failure, but it’s only a failure if you drink the koolaid and delude yourself about the club’s strength. As Reddy says, this season was and is a transitional season, bedding ina new midfield, and establishing exciting youth prospects.

One of the saddest images in the history of the game. I cried myself to sleep last night 😭😭
We do not know what happened out there. Everyone is making many assumptions about what they saw. Salah has never displayed any aggressive behavior even though he was shoved in the face numerous times and aggressively fouled, he just smiled and continue to play and contribute tremendously to the club. The club, on the other hand, let go of Mane and Firmino and paid a ton of money for players who could not handle the ball and shoot straight. Klopp is also abandoning the club and sees no future for him there, just look back to the last four years and specially this season. Should we blame the players or the people who are running the show? Benching Salah for 80 minutes, frustrating him and the team, and expecting him to go in and win the game in the last ten minutes, is utterly a very stupid decision. But guys, go ahead and express you hate and bias and blame the players, the manager is your God that does no harm.
Excellent video, very unbiased comments. I'm now a subscriber.👍🏽

Before the match started against Palace, The Liverpool team stood arms around each other facing the Kop, whilst the Kop sang You'll Never Walk Alone in remembrance of the 97 who died in the Hillsborough tragedy, Mo was at the very end r/h side with his arms behind his back not linking with his teammate who had his arm around Salah's shoulder which I thought was strange and disconcerting, especially because of the moment and considering all the Palace team did the same as Liverpool, equally showing respect. On seeing that, my first thought was he wouldn't be there next season for Liverpool. It was just an instinctive gut feeling on seeing that and still is.

Despite all, it's undeniable fact that there's something wrong going on in the Liverpool FC. They were very good few weeks ago with full hopes of winning FA, Europa as well as EPL. Things started going down immediately after the Man U match that they lost. From there all the consistency build up got lost to the extent of the team failing to score a goal in 270mins. As a LFC fan, this is so painful experience!!
Why is the media making a big thing of this
They were arguing over who gets to use the Royal Blue strap on first
Say what you will, he has still scored 17 in 29 league games with 9 assists... He has scored 23 goals in all competitions. He is still young enough to continue at Liverpool for a few more seasons and mean a LOT... Imagine Salah on the right with Mbappe on the left and Isak or Vinicius Jr in the middle 😮
It's just emotions, the players know that they've slipped up, hopefully they'll figure it out.
Misleading video title... nothing factual or new about what happened.. just opinions about the event... its kinda pathetic how Sky is desperate for clicks

He wasn't seen as a Chelsea flop - he looked good as a bit-part player in the season that he played and most fans would have liked him to stay. Mourinho didn't fancy him though for whatever reason, or maybe they let him go because we had loads of competition in those positions at that time (Oscar, Hazard, Pedro, Schurrle, Willian etc)

I'm so glad Melissa told us her opinion. I feel clued up.
Finally the media is making a storm in a teacup about another club, not United! 🍿
Refreshing that two top individuals can have a disagreement/spat long live opinions
Salah was taking to long getting his shirt on because Klopp wanted to get Endo and Diaz off. Diaz was struggling to get back too help Robertson. Trent was slow getting back, this ended up costing Liverpool a goal. Klopp blamed Salah taking to long which delayed the subs.
Klopp has to realise Mohammed Salah is a superstar not a young player who you can disrespect in public.
I assumed klopps didnt start mo yesterday because of the media and he don't want him to feel pressured..
I agree with Jamie's tweet. I had picked a side, but now I see I was wrong. They both are LEGENDS for Liverpool.
Feelings and disappointed are running high at Liverpool. Neither Liverpool nor MS would be what they are without each other and JK. MS is entering the latter part of his career and I hope he will find another great team in Europe. Going to SA would kill his career. Melissa Reddy is very good in her analysis. In some ways Liverpool are lucky to be where they are. They have not been able to play their strongest team for much of the season.
The bias in reporting between Man Utd and Liverpool is ridiculous … Liverpool get praise for bringing players through, so United haven’t? Liverpool are in transition, United aren’t? Liverpool have been unlucky with Injuries and United haven’t? Bottom of the barrel Journalism.
Team work is the magic say Friction is normal. The team must think as fighters do. go go go on .... Karem Sensei

Salah since returning from injury has 2 goals from open play in 10 games in the Premier League and Europa League as well as 2 penalties, there have been games he’s been a complete non-entity. It’s sad to say but I think he’s mentally checked out
one clip and it causes this much debate idc about either team but i know they probably talked behind closed doors, sky jump on anything
Liverpool doing everything in their power to make sure Klopp doesn't change his mind.
And even Klopp is disappointed emotionally by some players leaving that's why he's still keeping our, if we possibly keep our players we train we wouldn't be in such a mess

I can't blame Klopp for any decisions he makes but we still need our team built up coz I also don't see Salah staying next season if Klopp leaves
I can tell you guys the youngsters they've done a good job we have a good future with these kids they should give them more time to play to have more experience they are the future of the club of Liverpool
iam fan of liverpool for longtime i think salah and klopp should patch things up they are both big figures for the club❤
Juergen has to allow him to start the match, he is done 17 goals so far and doing incredibly well so far with entire team. Even the team near to win the championship.
The Actual Problem Is Not About Benching Him, But The Time You're Bringing Him To Play. Because Salah Is Someone That People Will Blame For Losing Even If He Plays For Only 5 Minutes. At Least Bring Him On In The 50s Or 60s What Can He Do In 12 Minutes... He's Not A Magician....... Personally My Only Problem With My Beloved Coach Jürgen Klopp Is The Time He Makes Changes.... Sometimes He Waits For Things To Become Too Late. By The Way, We Appreciate Every Single Thing Both Of Them Have Brought To Liverpool... I Love You Both ❣️

In previous matches he was in the starting line-up and was equally wasteful. He's been missing real sitters and his passing accuracy has been horrid. Mo is a legend, but it's time for LFC to move on. He should have been sold a year ago, but Klopp is more attached to his players compared to Guardiola
If you make a player feel he's more important than anybody else at the club the time you decide to treat him like any other player that's what we're seeing
No mention of the Taylor issue..
He was getting ready to step in the pitch, then the manager said something in his ears that triggered the whole situation. I wonder what J. Klopp said to make him mad. Waiting for the fire Salah 🔥
Both men are winners, nothing unusual during a game

This team got more than what they deserve. It dose not look they have built a strong squad. It really looks they used what they have to get the most of what they want from them. When kloup decided to leave everyone says he deserves to get happy ending. It is not massage session guys. There are another people working very hard constantly and needs to be champion.
You guys should also breach on officials and var who is destroying the games, football, players and teams.. Big shame in British football
Melissa Reddy. Superior logic. Big ups.
It's time for Salah to go, too!
No player is bigger than the club. I am a liverpool fan because I like the club, the history and the team of players not only one player. Even if it was Gerard or Messi in their primes, regardless if they were performing or not the manager still decides who is playing or not. Especially now with Salah not performing anymore he isn't doing himsefl any favour. Also that doesn't mean a player is entitled to argue and react like that against the manager considering Klopp was more than fair with Salah giving him enough chances every game. What about if Salah would have reacted like that in front of Guardiola ?
The media make their money from headlines! Salah is not the first player to have a spat with the manager about not starting and won't be the last.
Both legends . unlike marcus trashford posting sob stories blaming abuse for his trash form !
Who is else is feeling sad today about that incident yesterday? Two legends. Not very cool to witness that at all 😥

Oh no no no they're just having a healthy lovey fairytale father-son time which they media always wanted us to believe 😂 Media darlings are crumbling down 🥺😢😂
Even after his injury… there should have been 6-7 goals just from his assists. Sadly, the other strikers couldn’t put those assists into the net… Salah even not being in top form… is still better than most players. We need strikers who can take those Salah assists and put them into the net.
Exaggeration is journalist thing. It's important to see both guys as human. The pressure and frustration can stir emotion. It would be shame for the fans and Media if all we can remember is that incident.
If you ask me about this incident, I think that Mo Salah feels more important than his coach, I never saw CR7 argues with Mourinho over a substitution when he was Real Madrid's player. So, they must remind Salah that Liverpool is over the players like him.
Why is this even an issue sir alex used to do it on occasions with his players also, move on.
Okay. The topic is being overplayed by the media. But the following set of comments is filled with ignorant and very ugly expressions of personal hostility to Melissa Reddy, including some inexcusable slander and innuendo. She is (and has been for many years) one of the finest analysts out there and she is extremely knowledgable about (and very close to) the Liverpool football club community, as am I. She and Jamie are highly respected by all of us. Lots of people spouting off in the comments below should be VERY ashamed of themselves.
Mo Salah shows hes actually human. His career at top level is over 😅 alot to come from Mr Salah please god its for the Reds.
