Rashford has one good season every 4 years gets paid over £300k he is not world class never will be. Jogs around in matches like he’s bigger than the club he needs to go

I've changed my mind on Maguire, I'd keep him as well. You need 4-5 center backs in a squad. He's not a starter but can easily be the 4th/5th choice. If you're getting rid of so many senior players and effectively leaving the kids behind, you still need to have some experienced players around. And what better example than Maguire? The amount of flak he's copped and the way he's come back from it is something to be respected. Also he's been playing well recently so he's show he can do a job. He's an absolute professional who carries himself well, one of the "good apples" the youngsters will benefit from having around.

Both Shaw and Varane are on the 'out' list. Maguire kept for next season makes sense as Evans, Lindelof and Varane are leaving, so can't have 4 CBs leaving in one window.

You are speaking about Varane on paper alone. Varane hasn't been playing that well to justify staying.

when it comes to my personal opinion id defo keep Antony, when hes on the field he puts in all the effort he could and you could clearly see he plays for the badge and doesnt give up easily. he just needs to be understood and he deserves more minutes in order to get into the dynamics of the team while performing against other teams since that got a bigger impact than just training. he causes such a huge threat against the defence of other teams and always finds a gap through. look how Onana started bad then proved himself after having given the chance, id bet that Antony would prove alot of yous wrong aswell.

I think as a bench option he's fine and is good enough in that role. If we want to play a higher line and utilise Onana he can't be starting

Bruno said indirectly in one match that the reason United do not control matches is the lack of ball retaining ability of forward players. I think he looks for shortcuts when he feels that his team isnt gonna or isnt able to dominate ball. The game against Sheffield,he didnt gave any rash passes,he was t looking for goalscoring oppertunity all the time whereas the game against Burnley,as soon as United started getting tired and started stray passes,he started looking for his hollywood passes. He isnt the one that defines how the team plays,so a good defensive midfielder is very inportant for United who can control matches like Rodri does. Also,the backline is the main problem i feel united has,they dont squeeze the field enough. People say that there are gaps in the midfield,it is because the defense doesnt keep a high line. Even for corners,the defense should be able to organise the defensive line,they simply cant. They start a high line only to retract back before the ball even has been kicked. It shows the lack of leadership and intellectual ability that the defense has. Also,the coaching team is to be blamed. United keep two players in the corners of the goal post for corners. These players are accessory goalkeepers for the team. I dont know why it is being done. I dont think its useful for much of the game. These players would prevent any offiside from happening incase the ball gets circulated. Also,the counterattacking threat and the ability to win second balls in highly reduced. Dalot is being placed there,i dont know why they place him there. He jumps very well for headers,there are pkayers who arent good at headers,ypu can place there but they place dalot. I dont understand a lot of concepts aboyt the coaching. Either its coaching staff who arent good,might be the one reason and also players,who arent intellectual enough to dominate games. We need a good coaching staff as well as good players. But i would give Tenhag a season more to prove his worth. He had a bad season,hasnt had players due to injury. Last season wasnt great either,but we went through. He has a winning mentality which many coaches dont. He prefers winning and thats important for big clubs. I dont think there are better managers currently. Tuchel is available,but i think he can be little frustrating at times. I wiuld stand by ten hag atleast for a season more and see how it goes.

Use logic. Evans is likely leaving, Varane is injury prone, Lindelof has 1yr left so will probably be sold. We have problems in so many areas so it's illogical to sell Maguire too, and now need to bring in 3 CB's

If we are being budget concious, we should stick with Lindelof or Evans as they are not that much worse than Harry and would be fine with being bench options and cash in on Maguire. If we are not, we should keep Varane as he is head and shoulders above the rest. No matter what, we need new right footed CB of starting 11 quality.

Plus we can recoup a decent fee for him as he's only 30. Varane has to go.

@@michael43567 We won't get anything for Varane as his contract runs out this season. He is the same age as Maguire and I don't think, that he was injured more than him this season. For me, perfect option would be getting Varane on a 2 year deal on money, that Maguire is currently on and moving Harry on. We should be moving Maguire on no matter what as he has the most value of our 3 not being able to play high line CBs. If Evans wants to stay, then let him as he counts towards homegrown requirements. If not, keep Lindelof.

Also account for last season where Varane missed 15 games via injury, Maguire 7. Varane is without question more injury prone. Literally no point keeping him if he's not reliably available. He also can't play 2 games in a week. He's not good enough to be babied. Question, who has been better this season between Varane & Maguire? Maguire is also immense in the air.

Maguire has been quite decent for us this season, but he has to go. Cash in on him whilst his performances are relatively okay.

Realistically only 5/10 players could go if we bring in 5 or so. There’s no way we would sell 50 percent of the squad even if we want too.

What everyone seems to keep missing is whether or not the players suit the desired playing style. You cant keep criticizing the manager for not having a style of play when he’s got a patchwork of players across 4-5 different managers. If the player dont fit the style, they need to go- doesnt mater if they’re good or not.

Keeping Maguire is not the way to go. Same with McTominay. I agree that they've both improved their performances this season and have been positively instrumental in what has gone right so far, but mate, this is the best time to sell him when his stocks are high and like with Wan Bissaka, your backup has to be similar in style if not in quality or experience. Whoever is purchased as first choice CB this summer will probably be young, quick and able to comfortably play in a high line and for all of his strengths, Maguire would represent a drop off anytime you had to use your bench. one of the contributing factors to all the space in United's midfield, apart from the manager's poor setup is the fact that while the forwards and Bruno try to press high, the back line tends to end up sitting deep to compensate for a lack of pace. None of the top teams have this issue.

I love Bruno!!! Without shadow of doubt!!! But I worry it’s his position that unbalances the midfield unless you bring him into double pivot with Kobbie or as a 3 man midfield. But not as 4-2-3-1 but 4-3-3 him and Kobbie either side of a proper midfield 6

I think the issue with this list is wether it’s Stay or Go for next season or beyond. Look at the center back situation. If it’s just the future the only two centre backs who should be staying is Martinez and Kambwala. If it’s next season though, you can’t get rid of Varane, Maguire, Lindelof and Evans without having serious squad depth issues.

And if we are being honest I see £45 million tops for Maguire and Lindelof Which could pay for Todibo but still we’d need another 2 centre backs to be honest. We desperately need to sign another striker and bring some balance into the midfield too. This is why I don’t like the idea of signing Michael Olise. As much as Antony has been poor at least we have people who play there.

I'd keep Lindelof over Maguire because he's much more versatile, can play across the back four so is more useful for the squad and bench. Anyway, once we're done sorting the keeps and outs, it's time to evaluate the keeps and decide if they'll get into the current Big 4 of England. And the honest answer is none bar Bruno. Which makes United's current midtable placing unsurprising actually.

So you don’t want to keep Varane or Luke shaw because they’re injury riddled but will keep Martinez who’s played a fraction of what Varane has this season. I want all to stay, but you can’t contradict yourself for different players

Varane and Shaw have been missing games due to multiple different muscle injuries over the course of many seasons Martinez missed more games this season than his entire career put together due to an impact injury of a West Ham player falling onto his leg and a botched surgery that required a second one. There is no contradiction, one is a freak incident and the others are consistent injuries issues for years in a row

I'd keep Bruno, but his inconsistency is his biggest flaw. Feels like he goes invisible in some of the big games, and puts the game on his back in others.

Not being a United fan, I’m loving every season that they keep Maguire in the ranks and commit to yet another year of low block, hopeful counter football praying for magical moments out of nowhere. When he’s not making huge gaffes he’s bang average at best and the huge concessions the team’s style of play has to make to accommodate him is laughable. Maguire completely lost Giroud in the World Cup quarter final, letting him have a clean shot on goal, resulting in the corner that led to Griezmann swinging the ball into the box right into a yet again completely free Giroud to bang it in this time. And people keep regurgitating that he’s never let england down. I can give countless examples of how poor he is defensively, but I guess that’s what Manchester United are willing to accept as their standard now.

Flex is almost 100% right for me except for Rashy and Varane I think. I would prefer to see Lisandro with Varane then Harry even if Raphael is a injury prone player unfortunately and for Marcus, I mean, do a better left winger is available on the transfer market ? I don’t think so and also I would hate to see him perform anywhere else and especially at arsenal

We cant get rid of all the senior and experienced players. That could impact the squad massively(negatively)

Maguire is staying on a technicality. If Maguire is sold the only CBs at the club are these 2 Kambwala who is a teenager making a his debut this season Martinez who we dont know how he will recover after so many injuries If you add Maguire, you can buy one starter CB to partner Martinez

If we sold all our left backs, whilst finishing 7th we'd never get the talent to fill the positions, so I'll we have to keep AWB and Dalot for the versatility, Rashford is a definite move on tho

Dalot is average at best and doesn't have the attacking output to warrant his defending. Maguire has to go, he's not a top CB and should be sold while is stock is higher. Martinez might be our best CB but he's barely available, and if he has another season like this he should be gone too

I feel Bruno is an interesting one. He'll be 30 next season and United could get a good amount of money for him. If United are looking to rebuild the squad, I don't think they will compete for 2-3 years so why not sell Bruno now when you can get a good amount of money? Mount could play the 10 role that Bruno would and if Casemiro is sold then you use the money to get a younger 6 to fill the void and pair with Mainoo.

Maguire has been better than Lindelof, so I'd sell the latter. Martinez is proving to be a bit injury prone, but I'd keep him

We want to be challenging for the league & Europa league next season not delay tactics like Tuchel or Southgate or Potter or mismanaging EtH cos we'll be better off with Ole or Outsider Zidane than EtH cos EtH lacks people skills meaning wrong type of manager to take charge of our club. The advice we're prepare to offer is EtH & his team should pack their bags & go back to Ajax to reinvent himself! Keep it in the family!

mc tominay is like elliott for liverpool. great performances but based on the name it doesnt sound right. might not be starting potential, but hes a player united should keep for player depth

Could easily free up 90-120M salaries plus at least 100M transfer fees.

I thinks he’s harsh on Shaw, he is quality when he is in form and Rashford will stay with the new contract and possible new manager. Rest I agree with fully.

Keeping Macguire is most english thing possible. Sell him while his performing. OUR STANDARDS FOR QUALITY AT UNITED HAS TRULY DROPPED. Also put some respect on AWB. His a work horse.

Maguire regardless of his form he always has mistakes in him. Our fanbase get easily fooled by the PR of players.

There is a core group of players in this team that have been through so many managers and there has to be a common denominator here that’s why shaw rashford etc have to go, flex got it spot on imo

I would keep Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund, Martinez and Bruno. I'm not bothered either way about Onana, Dalot, Shaw and Mount. The rest should go.

Nobody is focused on maguire and scared of his mistakes no more again esp when there is no actually no different with him 😅😅

Realistically speaking the selling of the players mentioned should occur by the middle of July so that the manager can work with players that he wants. The same goes for incomings as getting 75% of players you want by then is key. Unfortunately, United haven't acted decisively in the market for nearly two decades. Remember that the likes of Berrarda and Wilcox dont start working until the week of July. Brailsford signed players like Barkley Ramsey Pépé and Schmeichel at Nice. Lastly, keep in mind the homegrown quota and that no matter who they sign or sell, they will never be able to satisfy every single fan or KZreadr .

lol why was Hojlund such an easy keep? I disagree. Hojlund does a great job of getting stains on the jersey to look busy but at some point you’ve got to have the skill set to lead a controlled attack. Strikers need scrappy goals but you need more to be a great United starting striker. All Roy Keane said about haaland’s gameplay applies to Rasmus, except for the ability to enough goals. I know the team doesn’t play him enough balls but when they do, he should be better in possession
