Why the big deal about the linesman raising the flag early when the chief referee kept on adding minutes and minutes and minutes - even though he signaled two (twice) with his fingers at 90+9 (which last I counted would've made the final whistle blown at 90+11, not 90+15).

After referee’s whistle, Madrid players stopped playing. Lunin didn’t dive when he shot the ball cuz there was already a whistle. There was no robbery

As for the horrendous call, all the line-o had to do was not be so quick with his flag & let play continue. Even with his call though the ref also had the opportunity to let play continue to see what would’ve happened. He should’ve never blown the whistle there. If (& I mean *IF* because I do my best not to be biased & don’t actually know if de Ligt would’ve scored had play continued) de Ligt had scored there, they then could’ve easily went to VAR to see if anyone was actually offside. I’m just absolutely perplexed as how the ref crew played the Joselu goal perfectly and then flopped a literal mirror incident right after that. Boggles my mind…

They’re making it seem like De Ligt was played through on goal and if the whistle doesn’t go, it’s a clear goal. We LITERALLY see Nacho pull out of clearing the ball before the pass is even made to De Ligt. How this is seen as ANY controversy is beyond me, the reason this goal happens is because Bayern keeps playing when the whistle blows and Madrid don’t (Lunin doesn’t even attempt to dive)

Nobody talks about the fact when Bayern was 1-0 up, their players started wasting time, falling one after the other.. referee added 9 minutes bcs Bayern players were wasting time.. when they were 2-1 down, referee still added 3 minutes on top of the 9 minutes and this is where the offside incident happened. Bayern could cry us a river.. but the referee throughout 90 minutes did an outstanding job. Even when the incident happened, referee whistled and Real Madrid players stopped playing then De Ligt shot the ball to try to prove a point somehow, acting like he scored a legitimate goal. Moral of the story, Real Madrid won and deservedly so. Tuchel subbed off Kane very early thinking the game is over, not learning from what happened to Guardiola, thinking Real Madrid is Arsenal or smth. If not for Neuer playing at his very best, it could have easily been 5-1 up or more. The best team tonight won and got the ticket to the final. NEXT...

Weird @hansgall-tm2hu wasn't saying Vardrid then when they were robbed of a goal because the ref blew the final whistle during a cross that Bellingham headed in the goal 1 second later. The referee blows the whistle, play is over. Nobody knows what would have happened if he didn't blow, it's not like he was 1 on 1 with the keeper at 6yards out. Even then it's not certain he would score but this wasn't even half a chance, so people should stop being so butthurt. End of story.

Referee mistake. Lunin, Nacho and Militao stopped playing. In case you don’t remember Madrid was disallowed a goal against Valencia this same season in exactly the same conditions (well it was worst because Valencia didn’t stop defending at that ocasión). Look it up Bellingham goal vs Valencia.

because the referee blew the whistle.. on Madrid goal VAR can correct decision because it happened before decision to disallow. That's why they are now told to play on at close offside so VAR can be able to check. It shouldn't have been stopped but it was so Madrid players stop playing. The game has been stopped, there's no going back to VAR when ref blows his whistle to pause live play. The ball was then 'dead'. Ball was not 'dead' on Madrid goal. Referee error on stopping game for offside.

Just imagine if madrid defenders didn't hear the whistle and keep playing hard to defender would bayern score that goal?

Tuchel substitution was a devastating decision I am sure he will regret it 😂😂

People hyperfocus as if this was a real goal. The ref whistled, players stop playing but the Bayern guy just kept going. Yes the flag should have stayed down, but that would not necessarily been a goal. From where I see it, it’s potentially an offside as well. I agree however, role of the VAR is unclear, since refs make their own decisions at times, they need to redefine when the VAR can be used, and make it the same across games not up to the refs

The difference with Joselu's goal is, he scored from the cross at a fast pace, but Bayerns goal was possible because madrid players stopped from the whistle. Lol you ppl, I swear… you don’t have a crystal ball proving he wouldn’t have gotten a shot off or actually score lol the point is that the linesmen have been told for yrs, since the induction of VAR, to allow close plays like that to continue & VAR would check the play if necessary. That’s literally what VAR was made for… if he scores, they take it to VAR to see if anyone was offside. If someone was, no goal. If he misses, it’s offside anyways, no need for VAR & we move on… it’s that simple… all they had to do was let play continue & VAR would’ve cleared everything up if it was necessary…

Let's be realistic. Bayern was on the verge of qualifying to the finals. Everything was favoring them. But Tuchel decided that he doesn't want to qualify. Bayern's strength has always been in their attack. How do you substitute your best attackers who pinned Real Madrid to their half, forcing Real Madrid to only use counter attacks and bring in players who you weren't sure if they could sustain the pressure inserted by payers like Harry Kane, Musiala and Sane. Ok, Musiala has an injury, what of Kane and the others?

Amazing game! But was totally ruined by the refs (mainly linesman) horrible mistake of whistling out in the middle of the Bayern's attack and beause of that VAR could not be used. you don't even know if Deligt would have scored that goal if the referee did not blow his whistle. Madrid players and Keeper stopped playing when the whistle was blown. deligt did not even recieve the ball yet when referee blew. The defenders let deligt alone after the whistle blow and Lunin saw the ball coming and let it in because he already saw the referee blow. There for That de ligt goal doesn't count. even if the var prove the lineman wrong, that goal does not count. Sorry but Deligt scored a dead ball.

Ref blows the whistle, players stop playing and an opposition player decides to continue play after the whistle and puts the ball at the back of the net. Then going for VAR means what? Allowing a "goal" to stand, that was score after the whistle was blown. How do you score a "goal" when other players stopped playing due to the whistle blown.

stupid to blow the whistle when it‘s not clear, these 2 seconds where they „stopped defending“, we will never know because of a stupid referee mistake. VARdrid is just getting carried by the refs

why is nobody talking about the fact the controversial offsides call was after the 14th minute of extra time when 9 were given and the ref signaled 2 added minutes. that's 11 total and this happened nearly 3 minutes after that. Oh and the only reason they had all this added time was BECAUSE Bayern were faking injury to kill time at the 70 minute mark of the match. I get it, they're pist off but they only have themselves to blame for the mistakes both by players and the coach.

Year after year there's a load of refereeing incompetence and then nonchalant apologies. What does that make us fans? Donkeys? We are talking here about organisations who caught red handed and their corruption proved. No more! I didn't cheer for either side in this match...
