Can't really say I'm into these, but for those who are, some info: (as an airsofter for many years) C02 get worse in colder weather, and when an emptier tank. The way the Blue pistol had issues with launching the darts near the end of its trial.(the more visible smoke/c02 coming out the barrel)as for keeping the tank warm, you still run the risk of having issues. and lastly, think safe guys/girl, don't run around a park with one and DO not paint it. All in all, a neat concept tho. Also the real steel is based off a H&K VP9.

Co2 does fare better than green gas in cold weather, and both suffer somewhat from shot cooldown.

7:20 That's a Buzz Bee Precise Pro, my personal dart of choice. Better foam and a design that was created by a machinist in North Carolina. He first tried to get Nerf to work with him and they turned him down. He then went to Buzz Bee and they loved the design and paid him to license it. Those will likely work better with the Rekt blasters due to the better foam getting a good seal in the barrel.

Hello captain, the reason the blasters are so inconsistent is because co2 performs worse at lower temperatures, also, umarex is an airsoft company, wich explains the realism.

"What if we make Nerf blasters for airsofter's kids and no one else?" Not seeing the market for this one, guys. Umarex really needs to shoot for higher numbers if they want these to sell.

They're the same company that made that paintball shotgun in Walcom's video, but that thing was like a few hundred bucks. However, it still shows that they could put out higher numbers. I'm guessing there are legal reasons why they couldn't, because unlike the DZ Pro, they sell these at actual physical locations.

Yeah I would rather use a worker hurricane. Similar fps with a similar size and a six round mag instead of single shot with the only risk being lipos.

@@captsomeguy1 Yeah they totally could target the hobbyist nerf market but just didn't for some reason, which is strange.

The company that makes these (Umarex) are the same guys that made the paintball shotgun in Walcom's video and that thing was pretty potent (and pretty pricey too at a few hundred dollars). According to some videos from a couple years ago when they were demo-ing the Rekt Nerf prototypes, they mentioned the pistols were $30 and the AR15 style rifle was $80. Prices might be different now, but those were the only prices I could find. They probably can't get over 100 fps for legal reasons, since the website says they're selling it at some brick and mortar store.

This is essentially a co2 powered super jolt. I think this would have been cooler if they made a co2 rival blaster that was more along the lines of a sniper rifle.

I like the idea but without a magazine and one handed use...... seems like a pointless blaster.

i could definitely see this being useful as a fallout larp pistol

Looks like a sig p320 also known as the m17 the US military has been using them since 2017. It's also in the new call of duty modern warfare. The rifle is clearly a M4, I guess they are going for a military look.

@@captsomeguy1 yeah I figured he's fired guns, cleaned them and such with his crew background and his knowledge of history. It just Feels weird to think about and see. I mean since his debut on walcom's channel he's always been this wholesome fun loving guy who uses toy nerf guns and with him holding a semi realistic gun it just feels weird. For example when I think of guns I think of war and all of the very Bad things that come with that. When I think of Captain Xavier I think of him buying a property to put a nerf workshop there for free public use, I think of how he helped build this beautiful community of nerfers, and I think of his q and a fan mail Friday and how he's answered my questions from time to time. It just feels weird to associate Cap with real guns and all that they represent.

It's just feelings are fickle things and it felt weird for some reason even though intellectually it shouldn't be weird at all

Seems like they took a CO2 airsoft system and rebarreled it’s for darts without taking into consideration the complete difference between darts and bb in mass, friction, seal, and aerodynamic properties.

The thought of launching your brass barrel is hilarious.

Does it have a dart post and if so do you think a better shell and brass breech???

Just from the footage it seems to pushing air only from the top potion of the barrel and pushing darts down out of the barrel and the dome tips must be rubbing against the sides and is what causes it to tumble.

The dart's inside diameter vs air tube diameter do matter. Good eye.

Due to how the valves in C02 weapons operate, the middle of your shot count will have the highest FPS. Meaning if you can get fifty shots before the cartridge is empty, that shots 20-30 will have on average the highest FPS, 10-20 will be slightly lower, and 30-50 will be the lowest due to low pressure.

Captain Xavier Has to do with the pressure behind the valve, when the cartridge is at max pressure the hammer (or whatever the particular gun has) generally doesn’t have enough power to fully open the valve, so you only get a percentage of max power.

Most of Dystopia rising doesn’t allow moded nerf blasters so they definitely dont allow these, it was cool to hear you mention DR

I think the rifle will shine more than this blaster since it takes magazines. Also the best thing that for both of them imo is compatibility with pouches and attachments.

It even in the back of the blaster of a fn 5.7 from cod and mixed with flock 17 and Sig Sauer M17 (P226,227)

3:40 They look like Glocks, they have the squared-off, VHS-tape-like slide profile whilst most other pistols have more angled or rounded slides.

I feel like they look more like something from H&K, maybe a USP variant. The back of the slide is more isnt very in line with glocks either.

But the club I attended in Cincinnati is at an airsoft arena so I feel like this would be an amazing blaster for that

I have nothing positive or constructive to say about these blasters. So ill skip the sarcasm and say it the part i cant resist; they actually made the Jolt and Triad look like better alternatives. Id just go with a Hammershot or even a Nailbiter for a one handed prime and fire secondary.

Was sort of wondering, has the Lightake/NFStrike/Workerkit stuff somewhat dried up? Seems like it hasn't been as prominent lately.

Twas I who asked about them, great video! It's not the kind of CO2 Blaster I had in mind though. I envision a semi auto short dart shooter. It would hold the CO2 cartridge in some sort of faux laser/flashlight mounted under the barrel.

I can probably do it, however it would be quite pricey to the end user. I'm not sure how popular it would be because of all of the concerns you talked about along with a 250-300 dollar price tag. I may just make one for myself and just leave it at that. Given enough interest I may sell them

Umarex is a common standard leader bb gun company that are typically sold in stores.

Tried to get them to send me a sample, and despite having lots of experience with Umarex's other products (airsoft and pellet lines) they didn't seem too interested in working with me. Oh well, at least Cap'n will give a thorough look at them. Personally only have interest in the mag fed rifle.

The worst bit about these is that below a certain temperature, when shot they will explode CO2 out the end and will rip the dart apart. This isnt so bad in a airsoft guns as the pellet isn't shot, but the dart head may fly at high speeds at something.

Umarex? They make BB and maybe airsoft guns (mainly CO2). There quite solid and I have owned 2 of there .177 BB guns.

Umarex does do airsoft. Start was in starter (blank-firing) replica pistols. Then airguns. Then precision airguns, think Olympics. Airsoft came along after.

Also here in Indianapolis is leaniant about it co the co2 things aren't a problem but the design is a fear

i think if someone made a CO2 powered blaster that shoots rival rounds and gets good FPS, i'd buy that who's with me? (pretty much a paintball gun but rival)

It’s a nerf version of this pellet gun I have I don’t know the real gun but the Co2 is placed and the gun functions the same way also

Nerfers have fired regular Nerf darts out of .50 caliber paintball markers before at like 300 fps and Umarex makes those, so not really surprising. But they really don't know much about Nerf. 90 fps for a store bough Nerf blaster is nothing special nowadays and I'm guess Umarex is stuck at those limits for legal reasons. They should have just made them online only and tuned them up to 150 fps at least (like what Dart Zone did).

Why is that sad? View counts are always higher than likes or comments. Most people don't bother to do either. It really helps the channel when they do which is why so many KZreadrs ask people to do that, but most people don't.

Near as I can tell it mostly closely resembles a Walther PPQ. The shape and controls seem the closest anyway.

umarex is mainly known for their airsoft guns which are actually really great quality but i really don’t see a dart blaster being something good from them.

We have it a lot easier. All pneumatic blasters/firearms up to 17J are legal. But really those here are worse than my Firestrike... Damn even "Chochlik" aka Little Devil is way more accurate.
