    That gives me an idea for a nerf war. If your group can do it, find a fenced in "base" that can serve as a fake area 51, and basically do an inverted hvz, where the humans are trying to contain the aliens, the aliens are trying to find their weapons and get to a "launch pad" where the "ufo" is waiting for them to make a great escape

    It won't fit any trigger but worker's without shell cutting. If you want to use the internal prime you're stuck with the worker sled or drilling holes in other sleds. I've read that the dart gate area needs cutting to fit some things as well. There is also the issue of them finally putting a sling mount on one of their shells only to have it be completely useless without modding.

  • @donutcat0
    @donutcat05 жыл бұрын

    It's interesting how people are having issues with this shell for both higher spring loads and performance in general. You mentioned getting a bad angle on the pump grip causing some friction in the action and iirc that's what others seem to have said too. Seems that one of the grips they released for the shell does a better job of keeping stuff aligned with less sticking. Imo kinda annoying that a shell that costs as much as the Terminator does runs into the issues that it does.

  • @CaptainXavier

    @CaptainXavier

    Right? The offset prime is a dubious choice for something with this heavy a spring load.

  • @donutcat0

    @donutcat0

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@CaptainXavier And it only gets worse for those pushing the super high loads. On the note of the barrel with the Scar: I'm using that same barrel in my XPT Retalicon build. Compared to the orange barrel that comes with the XPT and Worker's plastic Scar, that barrel is getting about 10fps less on avg, which is a less than 5% difference at 215-225fps. Of note is that the effective length of the barrel itself is around 242mm or 8mm less than the orange barrel, so that lack of length could somewhat contribute to somewhat lower performance alongside the stringed Scar being less consistent than the molded one.

  • @matthewyoho5422

    @matthewyoho5422

    5 жыл бұрын

    The kit as you saw here is half-dart only: the Terminator itself can fit standard size magazines or Talons/Katanas with an adapter, but standard size magazines that hold standard size darts (which is not what Xavier was using, those were the short dart versions of that 10-round slanted "sniper" mags that Worker makes) are incompatible with those internals - the pusher breech overhangs the back of a full-length magazine well so a full-length dart doesn't get the necessary clearance to get up and in front of the pusher, the breech will just constantly hold the top-most dart in the magazine down and slide back and forth on top of it. The only way you're firing full-length darts with pretty much any pusher breech setup like this one is if you manually insert them into the barrel by hand.

    As Cool as this thing is, it kinda feels (and other kits like it) like microtransactions in a video game. "Why work for the best thing when you can just drop some money and buy the best thing out the gate" The kits, like the Swordfish where you customize everything are different in my eyes as it's a custom build. Something about it just feels... Wrong to me. Maybe I'm the only one, but that's how I feel.

    @@CaptainXavier I know that ( not trying to be mean) but I used his caliburn configuration website and I can't send it to him. Also on his etsy there is no option of a disassembled caliburn only hardware or fully asembelled ones and that's too expensive and I don't have a 3d printers and the captain does not ship to ireland

    See, those are all details you really should have included in your initial comment. I don't know anyone with printers who prints Caliburns and ships to Ireland. Have you tried asking on the Auxiliary board? I know there are Aux in the UK.

    Instead of opaque colors you could try tinting it, I saw RMods74 build a Terminator on Instagram ( instagram.com/p/B0oBA3qh8Mc/?igshid=q3une92tyay8 ) and they used Duplicolor Metalcast to tint it red. And they just so happen to have Metalcast in orange! Might be something different to try.
