If something happens, I know there's a competent adult here." Soooo basically she's saying Justin is still in his old ways and he's not a competent adult? And the only positive thing is that he has a babysitter now? Very healthy to say about a relationship.

Pretty much. I had a friend (couldn’t deal with him anymore) that married this amazing woman - pretty, sweet, loyal. He’s smart but clearly no genius or he would have made his mark on the world by now. Only did one year of university but still thinks he’s too good to work just about ANY job where he would have to answer to someone - especially someone he deems as less intelligent than himself (which is pretty much everyone). Oh but - he’s bipolar! And schizophrenic. Or maybe just bipolar? Who knows, but either way, he’s a victim! His girlfriend (fiancé of 7-8 years!) wanted a child so badly and he was able to give her one - well, two. Now she will not give up on him at ANY cost - she works full time as a school counselor, he lives off the government and has explicitly stated that he has no intention of ever working. So you’d think he would help around the house - cook and clean, take care of their 5 year old son, right? Nope. He lives in the GARAGE. The GARAGE (separate from the house) while she and the son are in the house. During the day he’s in there. Doesn’t clean or cook. Makes her or her dad (who is the vice-President of a bank) do the yardwork as it is “beneath him”. Where’s their son during the day? Oh, she takes the child to daycare (even though he has a father at home)! When she’s late getting home from work he complains that he’s hungry and it’s so “rude” of her to “sit and yap” with her coworkers when he clearly needs her. Why doesn’t he go get food himself? Well, apart from having no money... he’s never had his driver’s license! And worst of all, when he’s caught her innocuously chatting with a coworker (who complimented her when she was pregnant - he completely ignored her) he goes and makes a Tinder account, has completely inappropriate exchanges with quite a few girls, then brags about them to everyone - including her! But she keeps forgiving him because I truly feel she likes mothering him. How else can you put up with that from your supposed “equal partner” as long as she has? And her argument that her son “needs his father” grows weaker and weaker the older the son gets. Last I heard, he was pointing to the garage to his little friend he had over and stating, “and there’s Daddy’s house!” 🤦🏼‍♀️ Why was I friends with him so long? I guess because I always kept him at a distance, and because I’ve known him since I was little. It’s tough to let those friendships go entirely, but he made it very easy after some unforgivable things he said. It’s been about two years (if not more) since I spoke to him... and my life is so much better not having to hear him constantly put everyone around him down.

None of this business with Hailey & Justin surprises me in the slightest. Remember, her dad was a drug addict. All of her uncles, except for Billy Baldwin, have had issues with drugs & alcohol. Although Uncle Billy didn't have substance abuse problems, Auntie Chyna did. And he has stood by her side for 25 years. So Hailey has grown up in a highly dysfunctional family, riddled with substance abuse problems. And what has she seen? That the family members that had substance abuse problems, their partners have stuck by them (except for Alec I believe), to help them, to stick with them through "good times & bad; sickness & health; for richer or poorer, etc etc blah blah". What else has she seen? Her dad became a born again Christian, which he says helped him save his life from drugs & alcohol and get on the right path. And his wife stood alongside him during it. Hmmm, sound familiar? When someone has grown up in chaos, they tend to gravitate towards chaos in their adult life. It's more comfortable for them to live in the eye of the storm (JB) than to be with someone who is somewhat normal, ie Shawn Mendes. Because they don't know how to act or how to be when NOT in a chaotic relationship or environment. It is far more uncomfortable for someone like Hailey, who is from that chaotic type of upbringing, to be with someone who has grown up in a somewhat functional family without substance abuse problems. I say somewhat functional & somewhat normal because no one is perfect & what IS normal anyway? Justin gives her a purpose, to take care of him. That's what she knows best to do. What she has seen in her life to do. Yes she's a model and quite beautiful but before JB how often did you hear her name when it came to modelling? You heard Kendall, Gigi, Bella, etc but Hailey? Not so much. Except when she was one of the models for the Fyre Festival. And honestly, she should've had a much bigger career than she did. Now she has Calvin Klein campaigns with Justin. She shoulda stuck with our other Canadian boy, Mr Shawn Mendes, who is a way better catch (at least what we see in public. He's not throwing eggs at his neighbours house or anything). But then again, she probably didn't feel worthy enough to be with him. He didn't need her to zip him up in a plastic sleeping bag and force him to take his meds.

I was waiting for this. I’m not their fan (don’t care about his music or her modeling career, not talking about their relationship) but I saw a bit from that particular part of documentary and I’ve noticed that’s she’s straight up acting like his mom. Hailey stalked Justin all her life therefore she will do anything n everything to please him to keep him. She will try her best to show the world that he loves her more than any girl. The way Justin kept saying “she always forgives me” was a massive red flag. You can tell Justin uses and abuses her emotionally. She seems so sweet. I hope she is okay.

As a relationship counselor I absolutely said the same thing when I watched. She lives to love him. You are right & on point with everything. He loves her for loving him so much. That’s not a healthy relationship.

It was very cringy to watch the last few episodes saying things like "she deals with me" "she forgives me " is like not romantic or couple goals and what do you do for HER justin? He reminds me of my ex constant excuses and using his sickness to manipulate situations and excuse poor behaivor

The truth is that the music industry we have nowadays is super filthy towards women and makes women believe that to earn the love of a man she must be sexually appealing to him.and another drawback about being in the music industry is that all u care about is more and more attention .u dont value yourself and u dont love urself.like some people will not agree with me but this is exactly Justin's problem.the reason many musicians nowadays especially those who are crazy about promoting their content and getting fame have to use drugs as they have to constantly devise plans to get more and more attention. Even in a relationship a man flirts with other women cuz he is addicted to getting attention.his wifes attention is not enough.this is how dangerous fame is .I feel that if music affects a person to that extent they should remove it from their lives and focus on who they want to be and what they want to do with their lives.like for some people music can be a drug .even if u want to u cannot detach urself from it

I've had a friend with a lot of problems but not much willingness to fix them. I remember at one point it became so exhausting for me, it drained all of my positive energy that I couldn't enjoy anything in my life. I can't believe someone would sign up for that shit for the rest of their life.

Same here. And I have noticed that a lot of these needy people have abused drugs in the past. Justin did it. My old friend did it. It's like the drugs stunt their growth mentally. It's exhausting for others to be around.

I think Hailey does love Justin and thought marrying him will be a fairy tale, but Justin is so childish. He seems to look at Hailey more for her body/looks than more than for her.

I literally thought of what you said before about their marriage mirroring the dynamic Hailey's parents marriage was; of the wife taking care of the husband while I was watching the doc. You were spot on! I found it so telling that his publicist? or manager? (I can't remember) literally saying that she can rest, now that she knows in the case of an emergency, Justin is with a capable adult (Hailey) to handle it.

Thank you for sharing some info about your life and previous relationship. It defintely helps hearing about your experience because I was in a similiar dynamic and when it ended I felt EXHAUSTED.

This series has done nothing but make me want to give Hayley a big hug and shake some damn sense into her! Everyone on his team look at her as a live in babysitter! My boyfriend and I have both dealt with substance abuse in the past. We've been together 14 years, and have dealt with addiction on and off for 10 of those years. I'm quite a bit farther along in my sobriety than he is. By a long shot. We're very, very codependent. I'm a psych major, I see it clear as day. I see so much of our relationship in Justin and Hayley...and that girl needs to run before she wakes up nearly 15 years later, is pushing 32, and has any more of herself invested in the relationship. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Just run and do not look back.

You already mentioned that referring to Selena and now you used the same story in relation to Hailey. Where do you get that from? Which story is actually real? None? Please at least say „in my opinion”, or „it could have been that way” „im assuming”. Weird... I specifically recall her talking about Hailey with that story. I don't remember the video, but I do remember her mentioning it one other time and it was definitely Hailey she was talking about. Not Selena Gomez. I think we’re forgetting the part where hailey kept talking about marriage to him until he said i think im ready. if hailey is “smart” and stable, knowing justin was and is still going through alot of mental and physical changes, why push marriage on someone whos so impressionable to do whatever feels good in the moment. Im sorry but its all very strange the timing of when they quickly got engaged and married. And it takes 2 to tango, she isnt so innocent. She knows more than we do and the bit that we know is hes still not well. So she fully went in knowing whats up.. but marrying him is her new job, she gets pictured with him, she rides the coat tails of his career while he continues to lose himself. He hasnt come to his own how can he be married and think of two people, and if hailey is sooooo stable she would see that and would NOT marry. It almost seems like she wanted to lock that down so he couldnt leave as easily. Because if they just dated again, she knows he would wander off. But if they marry he’ll have the cloud of thoughts that he has to be a respectable husband. Its a control thing. And shes doing it quite effortlessly without anyone really noticing. Its very easy to blame justin but the quiet ones is what we should really be looking at. Shes calculated she KNOWS the business, hell they didnt even get a PRE NUP. Tell me who decided that.... ofcourse justins no angel but he says ALOT and building an opinion based off what he says makes her look like the perfect victim or innocent one in their relationship, but thats all apart of it too for her, makes her look good and she doesnt have to say a peep while she quietly takes control in whatever she wants. Im baffled people are blinded by all the smoke and mirrors. *That relationship is a business transaction, and hailey and justins team and her team worked together to get it done and in the bag. The only clueless person here is justin. Now that haileys around anything that Justin’s team needs to know shes got all the info for them served on a silver platter. She was set up perfectly to become the closest possible person to him in this business relationship. However long they need her to be around to keep him on tour making money for them shes going to be the force to keep that money machine working till he falls again. And then as soon as everyone gets what they need from him she’ll be out, she’ll have his money, justins team will have the pay cheques and he’ll be painted as the bad guy again.. its a full circle of fuckery and the poor kid suffers. His surroundings of these people is whats driving him further away from himself. Start looking at the people around him and tell me how you would be if you had people orchestrating situations around you. He’s not the first celebrity to have bad people around them, it changes ALOT of things. Easy to blame the person in the spotlight, take that away.. tell me who’s quiet in the background. But who am i to say anything right, all these celebrities just “suddenly” overdose themselves and die..... right. Must be the person in the spotlight who did it, right...

I’d love to hear your thoughts on relationship idealization.In a series of past tweets Hailey expressed her admiration for him and his ex’s relationship she literally referred to them as the “dream” relationship and the muse comment in the doc was very telling. Perhaps she looked at them and wanted what she perceived as the perfect love and the perfect man and often times when we come in contact with the man we’re given only his perspective which usually paints him as the victim and of course pushes our nurturing button and captain save a h*e kicks right in and tells us we can somehow be a better partner(usually by succumbing to all his needs) to fill that empty spot that she left open once she got tired of the reality of him. There also seems to be a major imbalance of support her social media is like a Bieber Stan account and when he acknowledges her on social media it’s all about her role as “his wife” but not acknowledgement of her accomplishments (covers, modeling,etc.) how much admiration should you expect; when is the lack of admiration a red flag?
