🤯🤯 what a crazy connection, I never even thought of it that way. Were young wild reckless teenagers BUT ALSO elderly from a fertility point of view 🥴 I wonder if maybe they’re going so hard in that teenage direction to try to sort of have the tail wag the dog if you know what I’m saying? Like if they act young their body will respond in kind and somehow they can turn back the clock? I suppose I do understand that- don’t we all hope that love is some sort of a rebirth that unbreaks the past?-but I think there’s a lot more psychology behind their behavior than they may be aware of

I had a catholic wedding at the church, first thing the priest tell us is no cleavage, no transparency , no leg showing and nothing to tight, for the bride and anyone else at the bridal party. If the bride showed up with a dress like that, he would get something to cover her up during the ceremony and wouldn't go on until she did.

It depends on the priest. Some are more lenient and some more old school. My friend had a Catholic wedding and her dress wasn't conventionally modest, yet the priest still married them.

Tbh I see this a lot with my old female friends.

I hate when people say “I stay with him/her for the kids” or “I keep them around for the kids” I worked for children and youth and every single time we got a call related to parental relationship issues, toxic relationships or domestic violence the kids I interviewed always told me I want my parent to leave them. Parents always use kids as an issues for their weakness to not being able to leave.

True. I come from a family with an alcoholic, drug addict, unemployed, physical and emotional violent, thief, 3 times in prison father and when I was 6 I recall begging God and my mother for my father to leave or used to dream of me, my mother and my sister running away in a caravan even though we lived in a nice big house with a garden. Long story short, my mother ended up running away with us when I was 7 after he chased her to work to ask her for money for drugs and she didn't have any, he tried to aggress her one more time. I respect her so much for leaving!! If she didn't and if I grew up in his presence daily, I know I would either end up pregnant at 12, addicted to heroine or in jail. Seeing my mother restarting her life from 0 after all the daily humiliation and seeing her succeed in giving us an okay life, is more than inspiring for me. I wouldn't trade that for any day with my father despite him being quite nice to me and my sister (the aggressions were always and only directed at my mom). I don't miss him and I had no problem growing up without a father. I don't hate men either. I know that he was like that but plenty of men are beyond honorable. I actually always felt pity for him, no hate, no love, no indeference though, just pity that he had so many demons he could not fight

The old school ideas that stay no matter what can be devastating for children who need a stable,happy home.

I think it’s funny how Stefano Gabbana called them “the cheapest people in the world” but then sponsored Kourtney’s wedding. In Italy we all know how problematic the brand is, and even if they are not Italian I bet they know too, but they just don’t care because the most important thing for them is the aesthetic or the vibe whatever whatever.

You are right. Lived in Italy for three years and I am also catholic. Only the rich and famous could get away with this. It is disrespectful for you to go into a church scantily attired and not allowed at the Vatican or in any Catholic Church. Glad she found love but this is now overkill.

This is reminiscent of how she dressed in Japan. Kim was embarrassed at how costume-ey she looked. She looked just as tacky, why are we shocked?

I don't even think they are practising orthodox. Never the less this whole wedding is a disgrace and absolutely tone deaf. I feel like I'm watching the 1997 adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. So tacky, so prop like, and can we talk about the cultural appropriation? For a religiously immersed wedding, where motifs, iconography and other religious effigy's are exhibited, you'd think that she would wear something more appropriate than her undergarments to her own wedding. Who thought it was the bright idea to wear a transparent mesh slip skirt, (where you can see her panties) a lace bra and a corset on top. So disrespectful for a sacred place. I'm all for wearing whatever you want but there is a time and place, and this isn't it.

I really think Travis has Kourtney wrapped around his finger. I don't necessarily think he is manipulating her or something, but she seems to have no personality of her own. Like she has no clue who she is at her core, so she just moves along with every little thing Travis likes. He is definitely more sure about his personality. Especially the dresses, they look like the kind of dress you wear because your partner has told you that you look hot in it. I mean, even someone with no fashion sense could see that they don't look good on her. So unless she is delusional (also a real possibility), it seems like she just wants to please Travis.

Kourtney is that girl who doesn’t have any interests, hobbies or even a personality of her own so she has to borrow her man’s. I understand that it’s totally normal to start resembling your partner or even friends you’re around a lot in many different ways. My style definitely has changed a bit with different partners I’ve had. Sometimes it’s because of lifestyle changes, like wearing more “gym clothes” because they motivate me to be more active, or just being inspired by their sense of fashion, BUT the way Kourtney is putting on this whole “goth goddess, edgy rock & roll queen” persona when she’s been a basic crunchy mom this whole time is just embarrassing and very middle of school of her. I’m happy for her growth, both in her new relationship and fashion but idk something about it is just starting to get played out.

It’s not just Kourtney. ALL the sisters lose their identities to the men they date (maybe with the exception of Kendall.) They explain it away as being supportive. But it’s just blind submission. It smacks of “if I do what I’m told, maybe he’ll stay.” It’s so 1950s. These are not progressive women at all. They’ve clearly been taught by Kris that the only way to keep a man is be pretty and compliant. It’s actually really sad.

At least in history classes in Greece, even though our relationship has had some bad moments, we were always taught how both Greeks and Italians inspired and admired each other so in the bad moments it felt more heartbreaking than anything else. Also, Italian and Greek students in high school learn both Latin and ancient Greek as well. And usually a Greek school will team up with an Italian school for some project so it's pretty common to have friends and connections from the other country. I know I do.

Just how the wedding was disrespectful, dim calling herself a lawyer and "a hard worker" "single mom" when she's surrounded by nannies and goes on "vacation" with some dude when her kids arent even in their teens yet, is offensive to actual lawyers and actual stay at home mom and people that work hard and can barely afford a 1 week vacation every 2 years.

The irony is that Dolce& Gabbana are actually known for their curve hugging, body sculpting classic dresses that look amazing on any shape. The fact that she chose those dresses.... I mean, I thought she looked beautiful but she could have done so much more with the D&G designs.

Apparently Travis is a practicing Catholic according to a few articles I found online because I was annoyed, too. In regards to the second wedding, I think they did that wedding literally just for her grandma MJ because MJ doesn’t fly and Kourtney wanted her to be a part of the wedding.

The Virgin Mary imagery was so mortifying/offensive ~ ESPECIALLY the statue of Holy Mother Mary & baby Jesus on the “altar.” Catholics use those statues to pray & consider them holy. Catholics kiss crucifixes (like the one Kim was wearing) of Jesus’ suffering on holy days. Isn’t Italy a country that escorts statues & holy icons through the streets?! I am stunned by this sacrilegious spectacle ~ and not in a good way. It makes me feel sad for the world somehow ~ and especially sad for Italy & the faithful. 💔

No I agree with you, this was so tacky. Nothing about their wedding felt authentic to them. I think D&G did them dirty but what do you expect when you sell yourself out to a brand. As a catholic I don’t care too much about them using religious iconography but I doubt they actually followed the traditional catholic wedding mass. @@shallonlester I can’t imagine they did. Matrimony is a sacrament just like first communion and confirmation, so it’s a process. As far as I know you have to be married in a Church by a priest, so outdoor ceremonies are a no. And it’s not like you can just ask any random priest, they’ll want to get to know the couple first in order to give their blessing.

To me, it's as if she molds to the man she meets. That question of "Who are you" because so important! Recently, I have been asking myself that. Totally agree. I think they will break up. Watching past shows Kourtney seemed so unhappy. And that will most likely come out of her soon. She’s pretending to be like him , but she has to be herself.

The wedding was so tacky! From the awful outfits leading up to the wedding to the actual wedding dress. I thought at first it was another wedding stunt but it was not. On the Scott thing, it’s different when you have kids (in my humble opinion). All my Aunties and uncles who broke up (my dad included) came to all family gatherings after the fact. My mum is one of 10 so the gatherings are huge and everyone is mingling so you’re not really cooped up in one room I guess. I would never exclude my kids dad though, their emotional well-being is paramount over any pettiness between him and I.

I feel the same way about Italy! Dolce and Gabbana have a beautiful mansion in Portofino. Part of the wedding took place in their beautiful gardens. They've been traipsing through the piazza in Portofino in nothing but Dolce & Gabbana. Clearly, D&G are paying them to be photographed in their clothes. The Catholic iconography is part of the D&G esthetic.

I looooveee Italy! The hubs and I always felt so close to the culture bc it has similarities with our cultures- the importance of family, food, Catholicism, being passionate, etc… it’s just a beautiful culture with beautiful people. Kourtney’s wedding straight up looked like a dolce and gabanna campaign from 2012. It didn’t seem like a real wedding but more of a show. I feel offended for Italians. I was raised catholic and I’m honestly shocked that they let her in the cathedral dressed like that. Also did they have a catholic wedding?? You have to do a lot of stuff (counseling, interviews and have all of your sacraments up to date) for the priest to agree to marry you.. so I’m guessing not.
