Same happened with my sister but she was too arrogant and proud to even consider it. I knew right away. She was in a non-existent/non-defined relationship for 3 years. Sad to watch. She treated it like a relationship and gave him girlfriend-boyfriend privileges and he was “too scared of commitment”. She started behaving as a cold blooded female and was insecure, dropped everything to see him with a text from him at 11pm. When they officially “ended”, he got into a relationship months later. She needed to learn. We’ve all gone through it. It just irks me when she claims he was a boyfriend when they were never in a relationship.

Bingo!!!! I dated a guy that already had kids and didn’t want more. I remember thinking “it’s fine, I’ll just be a great step mom”. No it wasn’t fine. I resented it even more when he had a baby with the girl he dated after me. Hindsight is so 20/20 and I remember feeling embarrassed for going along with it even though I really wanted kids.

I even told him he should see other girls then but he only wanted to see me. After a few months of basically acting as bf/gf but w no title I wanted to end it bc I didnt feel secure enough in the relationship and knew I am worth way more than a dude that wont define the connection. I went on and did the best to heal, make friends and look after myself. A few weeks later he came back and realized he wanted to be w me. We've been bf/gf ever since and he's so in love w me and dedicated. But even if he had never changed his mind I know i would've been just fine wo him. Dont make a specific guy the condition of your happiness. You deserve so much better than a guy that wont define the relationship. I knew I did and I knew I would eventally meet a guy that did want a relationship, I just didnt expect to be the same guy. If you're going thru something similar even if he treats you great dont let that make it ok to not define the relationship.

Exactly this is happening to me rn. We really like each other and were spending a lot of time together- almost like bf and gf. But then I went on a solo trip for 3 weeks to nyc and just came back. I realized I needed emotionally unavailable yet somewhat interested men in my 20s because that’s how my dad was with me. I never received the love of a father nor did I have older brothers or uncles to give me that unconditional love. My dad was/is a narcissist and was very Co-dependent. I went to counseling (took advantage of it during college). I am now married. The difference between this one and the other guys? He chased me- called, texted, pursued, gave me space, wanted a title and to be in a relationship. He did something I did not agree with/liked so I said, “PEACE”! That was the accumulation of me accepting my self-worth and love. And if he didn’t want me after that, I was more than okay. He ended up chasing me more and made up for it. Anyhoo, it’s so important to have male influence is a girl’s life - uncle, brother, dad, etc... or just any parent that will give them unconditional love.

I know the kardashian/ jenners are interesting but i’m honestly really tired of hearing about them, same with hailey and justin. I absolutely love your advice but would love to see you talk about other celebs like the dynamic with lisa bonet/ lenny kravitz/ jason mamoa. Or to hear about other underrated/ low key celeb children like lily rose depp or zoe kravitz. The real golden children who’s parents are real talented A-list celebs.

Ava Silvestri Her team is obviously trying to cover all the bullshit she does by deleting proof from social media. People saw her doing coke in the bathroom during the king promo in Venice, for example. She dated and lived with a 23 y/o guy when she was like 15. She also had/has a reputation of a cheater. Me too, you're definitely not alone. I had to learn to accept that online friends doesnt equal real friends especially when they don't say hi in public? Like, that's so weird. We like each other's posts, comment, watch each other's lives but you can't say hi in person? For myself as well, I had to challenge myself to carry through in person to verify the friendship/acquaintance.

Falling in love with their circumstances is so important, I don't know how people forget that. You want kids, your partner doesn't don't assume either of you will change your minds.

They never looked like a couple to me. Don’t know what they would even have in common she needs to move on

I’m guilty of saying “we’re together but we don’t have a label, he can’t see anyone else and neither can I” lol mind you I was 22 at the time and he was 27....the reason I said that is because I know relationships change once you get comfortable and define it...it looses its honeymoon stage. I’m 25 now and feel so stupid for saying that back then 😂 but I have good news guys!!!!!...3 years later and we’re still great. Sure, things have changed but I realized there’s more to a relationship than the honeymoon phase.

I’ve seen some men in a long term relationship and with children, but they don’t get married! I want to know why!? lol I just find it so strange, like you have kids, have been together for 5+ years, and say they’ll be together forever & how so in love they are. So why not just get married?

For me personally, NOT getting married just makes the most sense to me because you don't know what the future holds. What if you fall out of love? Or your S.O. cheats? I don't want to ever be with someone simply because "we're married and have to be". My mother stayed married to my step dad for YEARS longer than she wanted to because of that, and when she finally did leave my step dad she lost so much money in the divorce it was insane. Overall, it just doesn't seem worth it to me

I used to not want to get married because I didn't see the point and divorce is expensive but then I realised, especially when there's children involved, there's so many benefits to getting married. Idk how it is in America but where I'm at if a man with a longterm gf and children dies the gf and kids aren't entitled to anything he left behind. It all goes to his parents and siblings. If he and the gf lived together and she'll be kicked out, straight because she no longer has a right to live there. At most the child will be entitled to maintenance but that's it. And that's only one of the many setbacks of not being married to your partner
