Good morning Andrea, yes, these fights amazed me and shocked me slightly too. It is amazing to see them locking antlers and actually throwing each other about on those stones, with the stones flying dangerously around the hillside and endangering any Deer close by. They are so unpredictable when they fight and I was super pleased to capture these scenes. thank you as always for watching fully and leaving such wonderful comments, my dear friend. You must have had the same feeling many times, when filming such a fight and in your mind, absolutely loving what you are seeing and making sure to point the camera in the right direction and keep concentration! Hi Gaz, yes, I was fortunate to put myself in the right place at the right time, but had to concentrate none stop the entire days when there. great 'personal memories' that I'll treasure and they are on film to remind me. Thank you as always my friend.

Astonishing footage - mesmerising to watch this again Jane. There was a moment at around 1:50 where it looked like the dominant Stag would have his neck broken. But he still managed to keep the challenger at a distance and then turned him downhill. Incredible footage again 😍😍👏👏👏👏👏👏

Hi Dave and Sue... It was great to capture a couple of 'different sort of fights' than I've seen before. The 'broken-neck-like' moment and the turn around, as you mentioned and also I loved the rocks and stones flying everywhere, as they fought right across the scree. It's no wonder they get injured! Hi Manu, indeed they are just incredible to watch and I spent 5 days there this season arriving early morning when it is still dark until early evening... getting dark. An hour or so before and after dark is when they are most active... it can be annoying when they all decide to just sit down for several hours. That's the way it is sometimes, but it is worth the wait. Thank you for your very good comment, my good friend. You have a great weekend too. 👍◕‿◕

Great footage! The stags really go for it. We have Fallow Deer here and the rut has been going on in the same way - very noisy!

Yes, they certainly do go for it! I was filming Fallow Deer last weekend and will be going one last time tomorrow, just in case they are still at it. It was the first time I had seen them mating too! I know the fallow you see will more than likely have more impressive antlers, if the Red's are anything to go by. thank you for your kind comment, my Deer friend. 👍◕‿◕

I literally enjoyed watching my friend! The nimals were fighting for ech other's wants. The land where they're fighting was wide and it suits for them because it can be dangerous if they are not in the wider space. Have a nice day friend!

Hi Beyonce, I hope you are well my friend. Yes, you are right there, they do fight for their wants. They do need all that open space too. If the males could get just one female each at this time of the season, they would be happy, because one is better than none and the season is almost over for another year. Then there is enough room to wander off and each Deer find their own small territory to wait for the right time to mate. Thank you for your continued support and really nice comments. #10 Great compilation.🦌🦌 Somehow, I feel uneasy watching animals engage in combat, yet it's a reminder of the ruthless nature of survival. As for your question: what I enjoy is the insight into their behavior, so for me it's a build up rather than just the fight 👍

*You always leave really good comments... thank you.* I know what you mean about animals in combat. For me, I'm more sort of 'upset' when I see something like a Gorilla or Rhino fight, as they are endangered and will probably both be extinct in the wild in the next 50 years. But as you say, rare or common, big or small, territorial or for mating rights... animals will fight and some will die of their injuries. I suppose it softens the blow, (for those fatally wounded) knowing that other species will have an easy meal. Survival indeed. I like the full build up to a fight too, although many folks just love to see the fight and then move on to the next video... so this one's ideal for those guys. It would be nice if most posters said which they prefer too... just out of interest. Thanks again my good friend. 👍◕‿◕

Hello again Lydia, yes, nature can seem very cruel at times, just as real life can too. We all have good and happy times, but then also bad, maybe even cruel and sad times. But more so in nature and various Animal Kingdoms, that's how it is. It is all natural to most species and one day most will have a turn at being the dominant one in a group.
