We were up at Bradgate Park last week Jane. Never been there but it was absolutely fascinating watching exactly this The main Stag looked shattered as he kept watch. A whole host of of other Stags including two big mature individuals kept a relaxed watching brief. With the two main challengers in position closer to the hinds. Just brilliant to watch. Hi Rosco, this was the best of a disastrous day, lol. I was up at 5 and on the Motorway by 5.35... and in a traffic jam by 6.30 for 2 hours and 20 minutes, stationary! So i missed any early morning action and felt like turning back, but couldn't lol. And then from nowhere, at around 2.30pm low clouds rolled over the hills and it launched it down with torrential rain... none of it forecast. When I got home, I could not get the battery out of the camera... it had actually split down one side and bulged at the sides! (cheap China ones.. serve me right) I have ordered 2 new ones now and proper NIKON ones this time. But I returned yesterday and managed to capture much better footage including an amazing battle... but ran out of batteries in the afternoon! I htrew 2 away after last time, lol typical huh. 👍◕‿◕

Hi DOD, if you read my reply to Rosco, it says how the day went, lol. In comparison, yesterday was a total joy! Just as well, as it has a forecast of high winds and 70%+ chance of rain to the end of the month! Once there, there is zero shelter. thank you as always, my Deer friend. 👍◕‿◕
