    Be careful with those "10 free meals" those box meals advertise. We used to do Blue Apron and those "10 free meals" really means 10 free servings. So if you get the 4 serving meals it's really more like 2 1/2 free full meals. However, it's really good. The meat and produce is really good. It's nice to just have the right amount of a certain spice you'll only use once as opposed to having a jar of turmeric or ground sage or some shit that you bought to use once in your cupboard for 15 years. Plus, if a recipe calls for like, one clove of garlic they send you a whole bulb of garlic, so bonus. The recipes are really good, we remake them regularly at the Moordik house. In fact, we're having one tonight. So, Hello Fresh; seriously some good shit 👍

    "No one redecorates their house for every season, do they?" asks Simon, innocently. Simon, meet my wife: I can enter my home office at 8 a.m. and have a completely redecorated house by lunchtime. Furniture appears and disappears, wall hangings and carpets come and go, even memorial urns traverse several rooms throughout the year. No money spent. She used to do it all while working and raising two kids. Now she just has me around (yeah it is awesome!) and is ever more industrious in her interior redesigns.

    Former medical massage therapist here: I can definitely see benefits to a foot powered treadmill transport thing like that. The way it's a controlled even stable surface is good for injury prevention, and most interestingly, the fact that you're pushing against resistance completely changes the nature and intensity of the workout. You'd get a much better muscular workout. It's a lot like combining a pushing exercise with a longer duration cardio. I think it's clever and looks fun, especially if you made it just a hair smaller/more efficient and suited the wheels and suspension to more off-road use. Think of how it would help in areas with bad dirt roads and no sidewalks! Imagine if you wanted to do barefoot running for orthopedic reasons but it was muddy and gross outside! So yeah, thanks for coming to my TED talk I guess lol. Quick edit: Also something like this, where the resistance is adjustable and you can be partly assisted by a motor, equipped with a sling to sit in, would be a cool physical therapy tool for disabled and injured people to take actual outdoor walks in for their modified exercise instead of being stuck in a treatment room!!! Aaaaaa!!!

    I watched "Today I Found Out" at random times for a year or so before discovering The Blaze. Over the past week I have watched an embarrassing number of Blaze uploads and am absolutely hooked as well as thoroughly entertained. I say all this to point out that after being Blazed, so to speak, I returned to TIFO to watch an upload that caught my eye only to find out that it no longer held the same entertainment value for me. Sure the content is still informative and well thought out, but after watching BB, TIFO is reminiscent of when, as a teenager, I used to bring home a friend and watch them pretend to be a nice and well mannered member of society in front of my parents until we made it to the safety of my room where they would revert back to their true self and start cursing and telling dick jokes. Long live The Blaze, dick jokes are important...

Rinse (leave sink on) dry with paper towels, then use paper towels to turn off faucet and open door. Throw out paper towel and move on...

    My best friend actually did forget how to ride a bike, we were camping and went for a nice bike ride. When we got back to the campsite I stopped, hopped off my bike, and turned around just in time to see her come to a stop and just fall over. I thought that she may have tangled her shoestring in the pedals but no, every time we went riding she did the same thing and would fall over once she stopped. She may have not forgotten how to ride a bike, she may have never learned how to stop. To save her from embarrassment I never questioned her about it and we didn’t go riding any more on camping trips.

    Simon I completely agree with you on the loo stuff, a study found the Dyson style hand-dryers are the worst way to dry hands in a sanitary way when compared with traditional hand-dryers and paper towels. Paper towels were the best as long as they were properly thrown in the bin. This will hopefully lead to hospitals having fewer of the Dyson style ones. I also hate places which take the toilet lids off the toilets. Also one potential (& admittedly desperate) upside to the Pandemic is less social pressure to shake hands with random strangers

    I think it’s purely psychological. As proven by various studies, your accent influences your appeal and appearance, perception by other’s. And based on this the „classical British accent“ is known to be a sign of social high standing and intelligence. But for a Scottish or Irish person it allegedly just sounds snobby or from the high horse.

  • @KelticTim

    @KelticTim

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@justusegner1405 In America “learned” is the same as “snobby” or “from the high horse”. It’s def psychological, and begins way back in our youth, the “under educated bully” takes the “smart geek” and stuffs him in a locker. Bullying can be a good thing, it can keep the smarties grounded, and make them truly appreciate the status they receive as adults who make all the money. Take away bullying, and you get Twitter mobs, geeks who should’ve been stuffed in lockers, but weren’t, and now have a sense of entitlement and grandeur way above their actual station in life. There needs to be a happy medium, allow bullying, but not to the point that some 6th grader whacks themselves. Simon was clearly bullied, as evident by his self deprecating humor, he knows what he’s achieved, and doesn’t take it lightly.
