Cradle of Filth are awesome....They are known for having guest vocalists make an appearance in this case, Liv Kristine. It's kind of hard to categorize their music. They're black metal, symphonic metal, gothic metal...whatever they feel like being, I guess. Try Her Ghost In The Fog for a next listen. No guest vocals, just Cradle. The lyrics are super dark and viscerally poetic.

The whole “Beauty and the Beast” style of vocal harmonies are dope as hell, NGL. Cradle of Filth got a lot of flak for a long time as “Hot Topic-core” for mallgoths, but that’s selling them SO short tbh. The Shakespearean prose in Dani Filth’s lyricism is unparalleled. It’s good to see he’s still around, and as well-spoken and self-aware as ever. Listen to their song “Her Ghost In the Fog” if you haven’t already. I’d love to see you guys break down the lyrics and subject matter. Lots of love.

Cradle of Filth has a catalogue of amazing songs; the cherry on top (in my humble opinion) is the song: "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids". It's absolutely epic and the main guitar riff is my all time favorite, bar none! Not just of Cradle, but in all music! There's no official music video for it, but that would just distract you from every masterful element of its grotesque beauty!

Finally I'm commenting! Don't let me fool you though I've seen many more than I've commented! This is one is definitely a fav! I love me some Cradle of Filth! I've been a fan of them since way back in the dis-ay. Like around 2000. Back when the internet was brand new DSL connection! Lol I would download music using those odd programs where you never knew what you were getting exactly. Many songs would be wrongly titled either by name or song. But Cradle of Filth was always correctly titled. But I felt like I was the only one in the world who knew of them and was a fan. Back before they ever made it mainstream. The first song I believe I ever heard was "Ghost in the Fog". However this song, it was the song that I believe got the a straight shot into the mainstream. Everybody was loving it. And I was all mean mugging them though because back in the day when I would play their music those same folks were mean mugging me and calling me a straight devil worshiper. Lolol Not that I cared. I've been called that whether slightly true or not at the time, ever since I was 13 when I became a fan of Marilyn Manson. Dani Filth however one of the best Lyricist ever!! Luv ya two! Amy

They have a pretty wide ranging sound (I’ve been a big fan for almost 25 years), and if you liked this in particular you should check out their album Midian, especially the song “Tearing the Veil from Grace”. Lush synths, insane vocals, and killer beats all the way through that switch up on a dime. Definitely worth a listen for you. Lordy! I saw C of F a long ass time ago on a side stage at Ozzfest. I used to listen to them quite a bit, and wound up giving my daughter my old band tshirts. Lol

When live shows are possible again these guys definitely need to see a live show from any band that they’ve reacted to. I’ve seen soooo many of these bands and more since I was 10! Lucky to have had metalheads for parents Lol King Diamond was my first show in late 80s and have been going ever since. Live shows are definitely MISSED 😭

This was my introduction to Cradle of Filth years ago. I was blown away and hooked instantly. No better song to start with and Liv Kristine adds such a beautiful, haunting element to it.

One of my son's favorite bands. He even one of my other boys daughter to a show and she loved it! I was going to get my granddaughter a Cradle of Filth t-shirt but it's hard to find one for her that she could wear to school and her mom would approve. I have this song on my playlists. I really like it too.

its a weird genre, its a mix of black metal with symphonic metal and death metal, kinda takes elements of all three and blends it into their sound.. cant really say its one of the three because it isn't... but you can hear the influence from the genres mentioned. If you mention cradle of filth to black metal elitists youll probably upset them haha.Theyre a good band... i wouldnt say unique because dimmu brogir has that sound and in my opinion i like dimmu better (you should check out Dimmu Borgir gateways live... :)

Gateways is not that good, honestly. If you liked this song, listen to Progenies of the Great Apocalypse by Dimmu Borgir, a much better choice, somewhat similar to Nymphetamine. As far as being melodic, symphonic, dark, and all that. Trust me, you'll be glad you gave it a chance 😎👍

@@Outdoor.Adventures. I agree that Gateways isn't that good, but neither is Progenies. Gotta go earlier more brilliant stuff like The Insight and the Catharsis. Galder can't touch Astennu on solos. And that's still missing on their new stuff, including Vortex's vocals.

I'm way way late to the party but this has got to be THE BEST reaction I've ever seen to this song. Cradle of Filth has done legit bangers over their 30+ years but this song still stands out even though there is a part 2 to this song Nymphetamine (overdose) which is just f'n BRUTAL. Man I love this band so much🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

One of the best bands ever. These guys are one of the original Pioneers of gothic/symphonic black metal. They don't have a ton of official videos, which kind of sucks, but they are still a very deep rabbit hole and have a huge following. Their strength is in Dani's lyricism. It's among the most intelligent out there. Dark and brutal in so many places, and yet so erotic in so many others. Try these Tearing the veil From Grace Her ghost in the fog From the cradle to enslave Bathory Aria Dusk and her embrace Tortured Soul Asylum Even that list just scratches their surface

I love this reaction! This is one of my favorite bands. I listen to everything from jazz to death metal. If you want a good reaction video, react to Havik and their song is Havik Gang. They recently signed with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and I’ve been listening to Havik for over 10 years. Love watching your videos keep up the great work!
