I'm actually surprised Smokey didn't get the name of the song with that first clue. "Set It Off" is a great movie. A movie with actual strong female leads thats not forced. They are just strong dominant women. People that say there weren't movies with strong female leads in the past are the ones actually showing their sexism and ignorance. There were plenty. Rant over lol awesome reaction.

I would say Chris Cornell was the best vocalist of the grunge era in terms of range. Layne was great and had a certain rawness, Kurt had an undeniable gravitas, but just in terms of melodic range, Chris Cornell was probably the best. All three put out great albums with great lyrics though. (I'm including Mad Season's Above in that statement btw.)

Eminem has been magic from the beginning. I'm not a massive rap fan(I'm more a rock girl),but when he came out back in the day with My Name is..I knew there was something special about him and that hasn't changed. Just great lyricism and humor. So creative.

The guys did an interview a few years ago and, when asked what the album after Sowing was like, they replied "we're done with The Beatles tribute, we had to get it out of our system!". Fabulous band, their most recent work, The Tipping Point, is an absolute beauty of an album, my favourite of 2022 alongside Last Night In The Bittersweet by Paolo Nutini and Closure/Continuation by Porcupine Tree.

I agree Smokey, Chris definitely had the best range. Layne was awesome and my favorite grunge era singer. But I disagree that Tool was grunge. They were just different at that time, and are still my all time favorite band!

This one goes so hard. It's the musical equivalent of coming down elbow first from the top turnbuckle. Here's my list of top grunge singers best to worst Chris Cornell Eddie Vedder and Lane Staley Scott Weiland (I count STP as grunge and have done so since the early 90s and I shall continue!) Kurt Cobain Left out some lesser known grunge bands, most of whom had more punk-style vocals, not the beautiful tones of eddie and chris.

That land that San Quentin is built on is worth about 10 billion dollars. It's in one of the most prestigious areas in the Bay Area San Francisco Bay Area on the water. You should watch the man in black live. He mentions how he feels bad for the prisoners who havas long 4 paid 4 his crime but still in prison. He champions for the underdogs

Guys please don't insult Sepultura by putting nu metal on their name, it is DEEPLY disrespectful. They have NOTHING to do with that talentless "bro" metal SHITE! They are THRASH. PURE THRASH! In fact they are so respected in Thrash many have argued that the Big Four became the Big Five with Sep. Do you REALLY think that this music IN ANY WAY compares to Limp Wristit or Linkin Park? OF COURSE NOT!
