I think “Her ghost in the fog” would be a better starting point to get a good feel of Dani’s writing style and overall band sound.

Great reaction. Fact: Nymphetamine Fix is not the full song, full song's name is Nymphetamine Overdose, Fix is the soft-middle part of the full song, that's why Chels has this feeling that the song is incomplete, and she's right ! Besides that, for me, the magic of COF was that their albums was like a book, and each song was a chapter of the story. All the songs were different but still, they connected with each other in some way. I don't know why but, for me, they lost this appeal with this same album, Nymphetamine, and they haven't gotten it back. They almost did it with their album Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder in 2008, but not quite...

This video takes elements from Shakespeare. The masquerade ball from Romeo and Juliet. The poison in the ear from Hamlet. The male and female parts played by the same gender. And numerous other Shakespeare references.

The female vocalist is Liv Kristine, formerly from Leaves Eyes. You should check out her song "Love Decay".

If you do Cradle again, do Her Ghost in the Fog, but not the video, because as with this one, it's not the full song. Do the album version.

I just love Danis vocals. He's amazing. Guess it's love or hate with that. The albums from the first decade are still the best. Her ghost in the fog is a good choice. Sort of their other hit song. Or their cover of Temptation.

Great choice for a song! Personally I prefer the Overdose version but this one is great too. If you check out more of them, I'd recommend "Meduusa and Hemlock", "Her Ghost in the Fog" and "The Persecution Song".

Funny thing is I listened to Cradle constantly as a teen. I grew out of them for a moment, and then this came along. I personally think they should release more tracks like this. How much can we hear Dannie scream poetry until we're like, "Get some women in here." lol

Chels, if you dont like the singing by Dani Filth in this song, you deffo wont like any other Cradle song, ive loved them since the beginning, and seen them live a few times, and Dani's other band Devilment, hes tiny, if youre gonna react to any Cradle song, for me, its gotta be Cradle To The Enslave(one of the best guitar riffs ever and very messed up video), Born In A Burial Gown, Her Ghost In The Fog or Scorched Earth Erotica, side note, Dani Filth made a horror movie called Cradle of Fear, thats not too bad, worth a watch, great reaction as always guys, and the female singer is from a band called Leaves Eyes just in case you wanna check them out also

I love cradle of filth and they do have alot of great songs, but I still think this is my favorite song of all time and not just for cradle of filth songs, but like my favorite song of all songs i have heard. For me this song is abourt love and ofcause it also have some sex tones to it as well, for me it is so intense and intimate, for me it is also abourt that you love one so much that it allmost becomes a drug for you, and to be honest I have only experienced it once, and I want to experience it again.

Dani filth is an amazing lyricists he writes to tell stories another 2 good songs on this particular album is mother of abomination and nemesis

I think I hated his vocals when I first started listening to them. When you read his lyrics along side, you get Dani Filth's spectacular poetry. So I suggest doing a lyric video for one of your future songs. Maybe Cruelty brought thee orchids.

Lol Chels seems at least intrigued. This one is watered down and is not even the complete version of the song. I will say that Dani is an acquired taste. It took me several listens to get into Cradle of Filth, but once I was there I was hooked. Their older stuff is much heavier than this, darker and oddly quite erotic. For a song of theirs where I think he does more with his voice than just about any other song try Tortured Soul Asylum Dani's biggest strength though, is as a lyricist, in which case there are few if any better. To see some of his better lyrically written songs, try the lyric videos for these Bathory Aria Dusk and Her Embrace

You guys might like Honey and Sulphur from Cradle of Filth it's a way better song than that one you reacted to.
