Raised by Wolves is mythic and very much in the Greek tradition of stories !!! We are watching a classic tale of heroes, monsters, quests, coming of age, love, sacrifice and conflict versus evil. The genius of Raised by Wolves is it has set a very high standard from the start and either it will flame out with bad writing or it will go on to join the truly great masterpieces of Science Fiction!!!! We are watching the show but looking back at ourselves.... IT IS BRILLIANT......

There better be a season three. The show ended on a big cliff hanger. I mean the guy was literally hanging upside down. Good Job Middle Man on the video.

The show creator says he has the entire show plotted out to last five seasons. I am encouraged hat he has an actual story to tell and we don't have a LOST situation of "we can do cool stuff but are going nowhere. Hopefully HBO signed on for all five seasons. Absolute worst case scenario, we get the rest of the story as books. I could live with that

Lol. Great Christmas gift

I never considered the cave painting showing that the pod was traveling to earth, I though it showed father and mothers journey with embryos! But this is a very interesting way to interpret it because I do believe the showrunners try to illustrate the cyclical nature of existence (the evolution/devolution, the embedding of memories, the constant battle between faith and science, etc). It would make complete sense that the story of androids traveling to continue human life to other planets is cyclical as well. Great video!

@@themiddleman781 I had thought that perhaps grandfather and mother had originally travelled from a different planet altogether. So who was the other robot/mother who travelled with grandfather/father to earth? Is this character significant? It feels like it should be. What happened to her on earth if grandfather wasn’t destroyed for all that time?

This is really great! There is so much going on in this show that it's difficult to have a clear picture of... anything. 😂 You know what this made me think of... Ok so Sol was dormant basically until Tally's death, and THEN it seems the carbos started to have an ill effect on the children. Do you think Tally's death was a sacrifice that awoke Sol? I always kind of had it in mind that Sol drew Tally to the hole, but now I'm thinking this may be what started the whole thing! Once Sol was awakened was when the organic life soured to radioactive, at least outside the emf. Looking forward to the next part! Great work! 🐍

Thanks Fey! Tough to know what woke Sol up. Was it Tally? Was it the ship falling in? I've always thought it was the arrival of the Ark. That's when Sol spoke Otho on the Ark. Up until then, nothing from Sol. Or maybe the kids were too young and Sol needed adults?

Amazing … however I think Kepler humans made androids and then androids made super AI called SOL (as per Ridley Scott’s interview) who in turn made the necromancer.

@@themiddleman781 SOL put the veil on the androids coz they were getting human like with emotions.This led to 2 groups of humans - followers of SOL(like atheist followed TRUST) & non followers, which also led to civil war. Seeing this the androids got fed up and started to de-evolve the humans using nano bots so that they humans can at least live happier. But SOL on the other hand got angry and wanted to destroy all humans from the planet( like Noah’s flood) and told select followers to gather the embryos and leave to Earth . The followers left to earth with SOL’s instructions/scriptures . So the followers taught the new humans on earth about SOL and that it is good . However with time future generation started to think SOL as god and started worshiping it. Whereas some didn’t and so the followers and non followers fought again.

I never tire of hearing or thinking about this show! Some things you said I agree a lot with. Some, kinda iffy. What I will say is that I like your idea about father and grandmother being the original shepherds. That grandmother was eventually shut down because her devolution plan was found out and that a reprogrammed father and another android were sent to earth to restart humanity. The original Remus and Ramulus. I have before guessed that that tooth belonged to an android. I do think the very beginning stages of Mythraicism started on KP22B as a result of immense fear as the KP22B humans experienced the Entity's use of them and grandmother devolving them.. The cave paintings show two beings headed toward Earth with Sol's light around their heads. They also left with very important "Mythraic scriptures". So in short, I guess I'm saying that before humanity left KP22B, there existed the Believers, the Technocrats, and then a small group of humans that represented the beginning stages of the Mythraic.

I think maybe Campion could be the android that went to earth.... That is how he changed Mother!!! When he gave the secrets to people he couldn't imagine they would go fully religious crazies and destroy the earth.... This is just a theory, still it makes sense how he was also able to make the AI the TRUST as well !!!!!!!!!!!

Don't be surprised because the ARC's traveled at RELATIVISTIC SPEEDS that hundreds of years have passed on Earth and a Armada will come hunting those who fled. I'm confused, it seems like a lot of backstory has been filled in. Is this info coming from the comic or part of your speculation? I can't distinguish. Also, one piece I have missed in my previous theories is that, the actual person who did the cave paintings for the RBW sets did am AMA and commented that there is very important bread crumbs in the paintings. There is a cave paintings with a hand that has symbols above the fingers, this is called The Philosophers Hand, and it is described as, man ascending to a god. The entity may have one day been human.

Wow you have done so well. I think you’ve cracked most of it. The only thing not making sense to me is why grandfathers tooth would create devolution? Or if it was a replica why the Mithraic/Believers text, would be creating them? And why did it only work on the creature in the cave and not devolve the other humans?

Hi Brent, good job on the video. The problem is that this show has more plot holes in it than the K22B has. One major thing you didn't get right is that the entity is core the of K22B. (My source for this is an interview with the writer of the show) I'm not sure if you directly say that Father is "Grandfather," or just imply it. Either way, I absolutely believe Father is in fact Grandfather and was on the ship to Earth, shown in the cave painting. Grandmother believes Father is her partner, asks why Father isn't wearing his veil and why Father is speaking in "that language." Father isn't built like a standard service model for a reason. I believe Grandmother is the mechanism for devolution. Tempest's baby was genetically modified when G-Mo scanned the baby, which is why the baby was born with some acid resistance. I think G-Mo's game is nothing more than a narcotic distraction, so that the humans will not care or notice they are devolving. I think the fruit of the Sue-Tree protects those who eat it against devolution. Campion does not eat the fruit and is showing signs of devolving. G-Mo takes fruit away from Vita, saying "don't eat that" because G-Mo wants devolution to happen, so the entity will go back to sleep. I can't be bothered to go into all the plot holes however two major plot holes are the ark ships. The Mithraic ark's passengers are in a type of VR for 13-14 years, the children do not act as if they have an extra 13-14 year's of extra life experience or skills. Why no Necromancer on board? The Atheist ark would not be provisioned with 13 year's worth of food, or equipped to deal with the needs of its passengers being awake. Decima looks to be maximum 35, so she was around 23 when she got on the ark with her robot daughter, who looks aged 12. So, Decima had Vrille when she was 11? Really? All the best.

Good stuff but I think the video would be slightly better if you specified which bits are uncontroversial canon and where you're speculating. E.g. I think the part about father being a re-programmed male shepherd doesn't check out because the other shepherd/necromancer (grandmother and mother) are apparently easily identifiable by their tech (we see many scenes indicating this in the show). If father was a male shepherd the same would've been true for him?

In your video you said that campion may have been assisted by the shepherd that came to earth all those years ago… I thought raised by wolves started to diverge from our reality around the fall of Rome when Mithraism got popular instead of Christianity.. how was he helped by a shepherd when they came a solid two thousand years before? And you said campion renamed that shepherd to father after reprogramming mother… I don’t really understand those parts. Great video. Love your channel.

Thanks! In my theory, the shepherd came out of hiding when humans got technologically advanced and helped them decipher the scriptures. Back when Mithraism first started, humans weren't ready, so the shepherd little fizzle out and waited

I also think Grandmother is too great a character to destroy outright and will be kept for her knowledge.... Can't kill lunatic androids first episode!!!! OK I have a question. In your video, you say there were only 2 shepherd androids originally, and the Necromancers weren't created until the war began. So what type of android did the Believers use to birth the serpents? I assumed those trapped androids being forced to birth serpents were always dark photon androids, like Mother.

My guy, wtf are you talking about? Your video title is incredibly misleading. Regardless of how wrong I think your theories doesn't even matter, I just hope someone that's never seen the show watches this assuming your just summarizing the show because of what you titled the video. At the start of the video you said something about filling in a couple plot points with your own personal theories is an extreme understatement, to say the least.
