I'm thinking maybe the cycle of humanity(via sol) is somehow infected by another parasite which happens to be the apex predator of the entire cosmos. There's holes in the theory clearly but I thought I would be cool tho.

I think Sol is an AI in the temples. Remember the vision of the engineer helmet on the box? Sounds like dream logic for an AI. I think is a scrubbed planet, with an AI to keep it scrubbed. Would explain why southern hemisphere electrical communication is a plot element.

Personally I want father to be the key character of the show who kicks some major butt, but.... I don't want him to be a necromancer. I feel like that would be too easy. Rather I want to see him grow to discover his own potential and how through his modest abilities, intelligence, strength of will and human like love for his children brings about what he and mother want most, a safe world for their children to grow in.

All of this has happened before, and will happen again.

Also, it seems there are many themes from other movies and stories. Paul immediately brings to mind the Paul from Dune, although Campion would actually be the equivalent of the Dune Paul(The desert mouse in Dune is supposed to represent Paul). The Clerics both remind me of the witches and the dynamics from Dune and the Priests in some of the old D&D games. The geometric temples look like the sacred building in Hitchiker’s Guide to the Universe, where the number 42 was eventually calculated to be answer to the ultimate question. I like your theory concerning the 5 aspect to dark photon(dark matter?) - It could imply a nearly invisible existence of a 5th dimension controlling things at lower levels. Sol could be like Rao, the sun of Krypton, in that Sol, our sun, followed the humans to an other planet to guide them? Strangely, Kepler 22b might be a larger and warmer than Earth water world, according to present data. There are elements of Sumerian stories pertaining to the changing of the gods when the god becomes a serpent or essentially the devil. The petroglyph expressions remind me of the etchings found by the crew of Battlestar Galactica portraying the route to Earth. Quite a bit of allegory(I will probably re-edit this and add to it because I know I missed something).

I always thought Tally either fell into the hole accidentally or was pulled in by something. There look to be 2 sets of drag marks leading up to the edge (one long and one short) and the doll was laying at the very end of the shorter drag mark, as if Tally put one hand down for support first then dropped the doll to use the other hand, but it wasn't enough.

Did you see the new intro..obelisks sending signals on top of the temple like structures..I believe it was broadcast nodes for the SOL AI in ages past. The many snake holes seems to serve the purpose as ventilation for the SOL AI inside the core. (looking at it from a Computer Science perspective)

I think Mother asked the kids how the number five is a common number in living things as a way to dispel the Mythraic belief in the number five as divine, to show them how the number five is not divine and is just a naturally occurring number

This is the most cogent theory I’ve heard yet for what’s going on.

Also, a detail: the Temple is a geometric volume made with pentagons faces which is in fact a dodecahedron. The Sol logo we see on flags, suits, etc. is a sun with twelve rays. I think it refers to twelve individuals or base 5 entities that makes a whole. Those twelve are “Sol” IMO or they can _unlock_ Sol. Also, when we hear the _Voices_ there’s never only one but many of them simultaneously.

Campion knew a lot. He came from a wealthy Mithraic family. Spent years decoding the Scriptures and then left to help the Atheists. So something scared him and made hin take action. I think in season 2 we wills see Father's memories of Campion his creator, like we saw Mother's in season 1

TV shows often make it all up as they go from season to season - don't read too much into it. Not every showrunner is a J Michael Straczynski to build up 4 full seasons of story from the outset.

I'm not convinced Tally fell down the hole. We know there are others on the planet maybe they raised her. I honestly don't be;ieve we have the necessary info to understand what is going on. I think a lot of people will be surprised when it's revealed. I doubt we'll get any solid answers next season either. It was stated this is planned for 5-6 seasons with that timeline and knowing Scott's love of slow builds. Ithink season 3-4 will be when concrete answers will start forming. Personally I'm not convinced that the visions, the holograms, and the voice are all the same. They may be working in cojunction. I also believe that there has to be an opposing force. Also, I'm wondering if we're not seeing how "sol" was created right now with Marcus. By eating the dark photons, he may be transforming. If you consider all the Garden of Eden coincidences this would be the eating of the forbidden fruit. What did the serpent tell Eve about it? It will make you as God.

While I like the idea of Sol being David from the Alien franchise, playing a long con to get himself out of his disembodied state, having been marooned on this planet--perhaps by the Engineers; there is a notion that events unfolding explain how Ego could have pulled himself together to move out into the MCU-verse.

@@jondoe1573 It's not without plausibility. Earth is canonically destroyed in the Alien franchise by the time of Alien Resurrection. While many extended universe books and media have come up with many ideas of how this happened, the main canon itself never specify what caused Earth's demise.

Sol did not want the snake baby in the tropical Zone. I think it only happen because otherwise the snake would of been destroyed. So Maybe SOL can not influence things in the Tropical ZONE due to the magnetic forces (These forces could be getting generated by the original people of the planet).

So does sol want to repopulate Kepler with snakes? Is that the true purpose of the Necromancers? The cave painting appears to show mother, father, and the embryos traveling from Kepler to Earth? Does that mean they keep going back and forth or some kind of time travel paradox?

I don't think Otho heard Sols voice. He mentioned later in season 1, it wasn't the first time he's used lower life forms to get his rocks off. He heard want he wanted to hear and did what he wanted to

A lot to unpack here, and I think this is the most viable theory out there. Sol is definitely the "planet's" core, where the surface is it's habitat to survive.

It wouldn't make sense though for one particular part of the planet to be isolated from its influence, the new season implies that 'Sol' cannot influence as well in the warm area of Kelper.

I loved how people who were desperate to believe in a God, were so easy to manipulate by whatever was impersonating 'Sol'

He certainly has the blue Necromancer eye's (which He might give to Mother to "reweaponize" Her) He "loves" Mother and may begin to see Humans as the thing coming between Him and Mother. At the end of E10, the way Father looked back at the "snake"..it seemed that some kind of revelation hit Him. Also, the name "Campion Sturgis:six" has to be an anagram, the name contains a few word's relative to the show :)

I haven't figured out a relevant sentence yet, but there could be a phrase/prophecy in there. The show obviously likes "encoding" wee puzzles into the show. (As We seen with Father's, "Morse code finger" glitch) the names could be relevant, if not, it's still fun to play around with different theories&ideas.. I hadn't heard much mention of Father's story arc, until Your video. I think Father's role will be huge! He could be Sol, or even the one who reprogrammed Mother. So many possibilities at this point. Congrats again on great vids. I think Your channel's gonna grow as fast as Mother's Necrosnake 🤩🐍🤖

It is also intresting to know that Ridley Scott takes a lot of his inspiration from the Bible. Especially when you look at the alien universe. And we can see it as well in this series. Maybe the Bible even gives us some answers as strange as it might seem. Maybe the Snake like creatures were already on Earth, like in Genesis, a snake telling lies to start their advancement, with Adam and Eve (the ones that came to earth in RbW). Then Angels came to give men knowledge as we read in the Book of Enoch. These "Angels" (Necromancers) brought forth the Nefilim, a big and very strong race of men (like Otho). Then they also gave humans the task to build them temples. Just like on Kepler the temples in the Bible are build with the number 5. Search that. So maybe in Ridley's world it were Necromancers that escaped Kepler to earth just as two necromancers came back. These two were Adam and Eve. They had a snake with them that gave them the knowledge to create all kinds of things like nefilim. The Snake and the Necromancers slowly died off but not before they safeguarded scriptures to once be found by men. And the rest is history in the story. Sol needs humans to reproduce, especially humans who see him as a God. This would be a masterplan.

Sol didn't stop Marcus' lander. Mother did, she used her android computer powers to stop it, and change the color of the exterior.

My take is Sol is some kind of sentient AI based on or powered by or enveloped in dark photon energy. This is how it was able to hack in to the sim pods, pose as an unknown user and infect Mother like a piece of malware. Still not sure how it's able to resurrect the dead or create ghostly apparitions that leave behind objects or move things, but any sufficiently advanced technology seems like magic!

I think Sol created the whole belief around him in order to manipulate humans into giving it life, his "scriptures" not only instructed humans to build tech for him but also influenced them to fight a war that destroyed Earth so that they'd come back to his planet. Basically an elaborate trap. I really love the whole philosophy of this show but it's a bit frustrating that as the viewer you catch onto Sol's manipulation way before the characters do, so now we have to wait for them to discover it slowly LOL if this ends up into a Lost type circlejerk I'm gonna be so pissed. I really love the premise of the show but it's probably gonna get necro-milked into nonsense

i think the entity could already be influencing humans trough the use of dark energy, either human evolve separately (which is extremely unlikely) and this 2 androids brought seeds to earth so they could discover dark photon energy, or its ciclical, i think the radiation comes from the center intself and whatever made the holes, made it worse and did all that to kepler, allowing sol influence to grow, to even ben able to influence humans of earth i think that it or the first androids(father in my opinion being one of them) were the ones that brough the knowledge to be discovered milenia later before the war

This is overall a great video. I only take issue with one of the assertions: vegetables on the surface are radioactive. That isn’t established anywhere in the show. Actually there is evidence to the contrary. The fruit or whatever from the tree that had cyanide in it did not test radioactive. Neither did the moss. The only thing that did was their primary source of food that was grown directly from the snake carcasses. Other than that I like the video a ton.

I think everyone has chips in there heads the ark installed on the way to the new world in the stasis pods. Then there are high beings watching and pushing everyone towards a goal of some sorts or just watching to see if the humans world be the same as on earth.

Amazing video! Honestly, this show is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. I don't have any theories on who Sol could be, but I do think Sol being Dark Photon Energy is a good one! Could even be a Necromancer itself, perhaps the very first one, not built but born in some kind of way. I don't know. I just feel that if it's Dark Photon Energy itself... how does other things get built with it? Does it lend some of itself out to humans light years away so they can build the ships and Necomancers? If so, then its reach must be further than only a few weeks away (as otherwise thought to be considering Otho). It could be very old, and therefore weak, or trapped somewhere (maybe one of the temples) and only able to mentally reach out for now until it regains power or even a new body (perhaps Mother herself). And since this is based somewhat on Adam and Eve, maybe the OG Necromancer only gave the humans guides on how to build Necromancers as a whole 'god created humans in his own image' kind of deal. This all has me beautifully intrigued and confused!

Thank you so much. Definitely a chicken and the egg, Bootstrap Paradox thing going on here. I think the Temples may be contain mini versions of the dark photon core of the planet, and they serve as sort of wish-granting boxes. The dark photons/Sol can sense what the person or thing wants and then make it from the dark photons. Mother wished to be able to make a child on her own, and Sol impregnated her. Marcus wished to get rid of Ambrose without getting in trouble for it and the temple set it up for him to burn him and whispered to him what to do. Paul wanted mouse back and Sol brought it back. There is something going on with Sol answering prayers and I think the dark photons ability to become anything is what is actually going on. So there is a scientific answer, but it appears supernatural because we don't understand it. I hope I didn't confuse things even more. I'm exited to find out!

@@themiddleman781 I had another thought due to something someone theorized about and thought it was pretty neat: Basically that Kepler might not be a planet at all, but something called a Dyson sphere. The core is an artificial sun that could be generating Dark Photons harnessed by the sphere and could have been created by the people who lived there before *long* ago as a power source. The snakes could be biosynthetic organisms that work as relays to function throughout the whole Dyson sphere and that's why they created the tunnels. The voice is an AI that was created to run the entire system, but it turned against its creators. So basically the star inside Kepler is a Dark Photon reactor run by an AI, which is biosynthetic, so therefore it can influence humans, snakes and androids. That's why Kepler doesn't have a normal planetary geology, because its a planet-sized artificial structure built to contain a sun-like reactor. Its not a natural planet.

That has been my thought as well.It's just one of many many simulations in perhaps a science project to study humans. I know I might and will probably be wrong but I would not at all be surprised if it all takes place in a really advanced simulation. It would explain all the strange stuff with Tally etc and why an android actually could plug into that simulation thingy that were made for human senses I would guess and not for androids It would also explain the voices and any or all "supernatural" things.

Is your theory that humans on Earth and Kepler are parallel evolutions on different planets or is it like in BSG a cycle and humans just move from planet to planet?

@@domusavires19 Evolved from Kepler. They are not normal machines. They are made of dark photons, at least the high level ones. Just like how humans evolved out the Earth (unless you believe in a creator I guess). Kepler is unusual.

It's a great theory. I also came to the conclusion that Sol is a species that's possibly non carbon based that seeks to experience corporality or something. Still doesn't explain the hieroglyphs depicting the shuttle going towards earth though but meh. I really really hope there's not going to be some biblical cyclical BS in there. Also doesn't explain the adverse effect that Campion has on the snake. I like the idea that Campion is a hybrid and will go Necro at some point but IDK how this would fit in all of this. One thing that I'm pretty sure of though is that Mother will not go necro ever again. She had to be nerfed. We know an eye is still in the hands of the Mithraic but if it comes into play I'm hoping Father could make use of it somehow.

Love this. Agree with everything. I think Mother's tears hitting Campion as a baby effected him somehow long term (besides saving his life). And the Necromancers are actually weapons against the snakes/Sol even tho they are also the way to birth them....that's the paradox. I'm gonna try to start doing some more theory videos again heading into season 2

Campion is odd - for some reason 'Sol' told him to kill himself early in the series which seems very odd if he is chosen in some way. It also told mother she no longer needed to care for Campion and the others at all once she was 'pregnant' with the flying lamprey.

@@themiddleman781 Another possibility is that OG Campion who reprogrammed Mother actually engineered Campion. He reprogrammed a necromancer and created that computer 'the Trust' which directs the atheists, so it stands to reason that he may have dabbled in genomics also.

He raped multiple women, when introduced to the show the mithraic despise him for having "raped their women". His schedule execution does on some give the mithraic some humanity.

Well yeah, they aren't all that bad. I think the Otho storyline served 5 purposes (since the show loves five): 1) To show someone hearing the voice for Marcus to talk to 2) To have Tempest be pregnant, pissed off and lose her faith 3) To show how the Mithraic, or Sol, keep prisoners from escaping, so that Marcus can end up in a helmet 4) To give Mother a way to feed the snake human blood from a living human 5) To show us what happens when Mother's blood ends up in a human

I'm pretty sure the point of that is to show their hypocrisy. Sol told him to do that, but they do not like it so "Hey he must be lying" but they do not question that Sol can be a bad god, which is is. While it's not clear if the girl who got raped is atheist or just hate Sol, the Mithraic pretend that everything good comes from him and everything bad is not or that it's not really a bad thing because it's Sol's will.

SOL means SOIL in French and SOUTH in Portuguese. Such a simple word no doubt has other basic meanings in other languages. What makes you think the ancient Mithreans spoke only English and Spanish?

I think SOL stands for and is the Source Of Life on the planet. It is a bio-tech AI that draws its energy from the planet and also runs it. The planet has become the body and parts of the AI or the "entity". Ancient humans on Kepler made it and then it ensured that the planet survived and sent humans to another planet, where it taught humans about "SOL" the god.

That's all from the game? When did that game come out? I'm not famaliar with it. Remember, I'm middle-aged. Lol. When I had a Twitch stream, I was a NES speedrunner. So I played Contra and Mega Man over and over. But that game plot sounds Exactly like what's going. I could see Sol being alien tech for sure. Sol sent instructions for how to help it become powerful again and the humans followed without question, thinking it was God. I could totally see Sol and/or the dark photons being able to Evolve and Devolve humans. It could be what led to humans becoming intelligent, because scientists have always been stumped as to what made us make the leap from smart animal to what we are today. There are theories, but no missing link has been found. Perhaps Sol is that link (in the show of course). But what giveth can also taketh away. And Sol may be devolving humans on Kepler

No worries there. Ridley Scott just directed the pilot, but he isn't a part of the creative team. Aaron Guzakowski is the writer, creator and showrunner. The white android blood will be the only connection

@@shuthemoody It's not a Ridley Scott show. He directed the pilot, but it was written and created by Aaron Guzijowski. Ridley won't even be directing in season 2. So no worries there.

I don't know if Father will be revealed to be a secret necromancer. He was easily taken out and easily reprogrammed. Maybe Mother can infuse him with some dark photon energy. I was really enjoying what the series showed in the first 9 and a half episodes and then they just drop all this other crap into it and I'm like, "WTF" is this? I'm less interested in the Atheist Ark arriving. I think any stories with them will be just some side drama.

Well it's not related at all to the Aliens franchise, so none of those characters will cross over. Ridley Scott is only an Exec Producer and directed the pilot. But lots of people think it's connected because of the white android blood :)
