You’ve got a great eye to catch all this stuff. Fantastic theories which I think are likely going to be right in some capacity. This is certainly a show where the details have been placed intentionally. Can’t wait to see how it pans out in a few days!

Dude what wokeness? There’s a lesbian that talks about lesbian things. It’s just… a normal part of life. Hard for me to want to watch when that’s in the first minute of the vid… ugh. I loved this show and was completely caught off guard by it. Can’t wait for season 2, tho I have no idea how they’re keeping “The Rig” as the name when yknow

Watching this review years after having watched the show and it’s crazy how spot on you were. Like the Kendrick Lamar song clue is insane. But I definitely could not have watched your reviews while watching the show. I HATE being spoiled and you picked up on stuff that I would have been bummed to have found out about before the show reviewed it. I hope you review season 2 but I’ll stay away until after the show is done 😂.

I know I'm late to this conversation, but I'm hoping I can get some feedback here. I find that Autumn and Billy's characters seem to be expressed as though seen through a childs perspective. Maybe both of them are children of the past (obviously Amy is one of the children) who are seeing the events play out through a childs eye view. Maybe they or just Autumn are imagining this whole story and we are seeing through their eyes?

great video. the way the narrator is sort of singing all his dialog is so annoying that i chose to stop watching at around 48 seconds. i watch pretty much any and all severance related videos but this one is obviously strictly for the deaf and or massochistic types, i dont know how to spell massochistic because i have no interest in suffering for its own sake and will therefor be watching approximately zero more of your videos. thanks very much for absolutely nothing.

The people in the masks are representing the 4 tempers. I think they are there for Dylan to have sex with. It begs the question, are the dancers also severed employees? If so, does that mean their only job is to learn that weird sexy dance and have sex with lumon employees? That would be creepy

I know you’re not supposed to read too much into the opening credits scenes, but I can’t shake the interesting image of Mark S typing away on a computer inside his own head. Makes me wonder if that’s the shows way of implying that the data they are refining is actually their own memories. Sorting out the emotions of those memories into bins. It would explain why the numbers elicit emotions specific to the refiner. The ultimate goal might be to pick out these emotions in order to gain more control over a persons consciousness to eventually persuade them to a certain way of thinking. The Kier way.

There is no indication FREEZE FRAME freezes a Severed person in place. We only know the name of this chip function for certain. The chip controls memory access and is capable of some unclear form of emotional and thought pattern manipulation (ELEPHANT ACCESS CIRCUIT), overriding muscle control has nowhere been indicated in the show. People ascribe way too much power to the chip functions. MDR blowing up enemies of Lumon has to be a red herring, it's so damn obviously the explanation, it can't be true. Why would Dan Erickson give away the main mystery with a short story published during season 1 which I heard is for those who didn't fully get the premise of working in MDR?

They forced several concepts into the story: Face washed Venezuelan government (all the scenes of the journalist were added,) Toxic masculinity vs fake women empowerment instead of real PTSD of victims, Stockholm Syndrome and marital issues (secrets, etc) The original series was even better.

I just finished season one. It has captured my attention the way Lost and TWD originally did. Lost kept my attention for 3 or so seasons then I gave up on it. TWD for 8 seasons. So far this show reminds me more of Lost. I'm real curious to see where it goes. Starting Season 2 tonight.

@@themiddleman781 not entirely. It was her beligerence and arrogance they showed at the beginning when she got mad at Prince and went jogging in the middle of the night. Refused to take the dog for safety. That's what irritated me. Totally unlikable character from the start.

I agree with pretty much all of what you said. I soooo want to see Prince and Bambi doing their thing again. But could they write another season to match the intensity and emotional toll of this one? I doubt it. I love the Diehard series, but besides his death defying throughout, the most unbelievable thing is that he repeatedly finds himself in this life or death scenarios.

I agree with most you said. The tonal change from S1 to S2 was too stark, it was what made S1 stand out. Mind you I tend to prefer dry and serious tones, but disbelief couldn’t be suspended, due to the numerous “B” stories that never reached clear connections. Both my partner and I agree with you on this aspect. Reason I was looking for explainers is to see if we have missed something that would explains why Meyer put together the Hunters in the first place. To us it feels like it was completely pointless. “I get it” that it’s supposed to be to cover his tracks… but he was established and actually friend with Jewish community. The only person that worked out who he was, was another nazi! that if he had helped wouldn’t have caused him any problem? Either way he got rid of him, why even bother creating the team and stir up the chaos that led to his downfall. We really find this the major plot hole. I didn’t see sexual tension between Chava and Jonah.

Yeah, there was nothing really to explain, which ruined the season for me. Nothing connected or made sense. It ruined a great premise in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

The Wolf could have been an interesting story of a reformed evil man trying to make amends, but instead it was just a convoluted bit of bullshit about him hiding his identity. He could have just hid his identity by, idk, fucking hiding. Creating the hunt put him in close contact with people who could ID him so many fucking times. He would have been better off retiring to argentina.

I'm fairly confident that outtie Irving is a psychiatrist, however at this point I don't know exactly how that works in terms of what hours does he see patients. There are several clues to suggest that Irving is a psychiatrist. Prior to the series timeline Mark was seeing a psychiatrist with the funny little mustache, which means that Irving is perhaps a psychiatrist for Lumon employees. Ms Casey gives some clues in reference to outtie Irving being a psychiatrist as well.

I was thinking, innie Helly should have come up with various creative gifts everyday to give her outtie. For example crapping her pants just before the elevator goes up. Any gift after that one seems lame in comparison, but she could douse herself in water, put soap in her eyes. A little more light hearted would be shoving a finger up her nose or even a finger in her arse. Maybe even just a punch to the face just before she switches to her outtie. Maybe she could use ink from a pen a printer or whatever crazy colors she can scavenge and die her hair crazy colors. I'm guessing that outtie Helly would be a bit self conscious if she was looking like a clown and had to walk through security and the Lumen building, especially if she had a load in her pants. We did see innie Helly washing the makeup off her neck, which we later found out that outtie Helly put makeup over the bruising to hide it from her father, or just in general, but innie Helly washing it off was essentially a statement (I'm not going to let you hide the bruising)....I didn't pick up on this the first time I watched the series. I'm guessing innie Helly would be disciplined after crapping her pants, but I theorize Helly would be willing to endure whatever the breakroom had in store for her just for the satisfaction she would get by screwing with her outtie.

While I appreciate this being read aloud your intonation is completely off. There is no variation in feeling, no dramatic pauses, no sense of suspense. You make her sound vapid. She's taking a big risk. Appreciate that scenario.
