I’m really impressed with this channel. It’s young and low count subscription (for now) but it feels like it’s been around for a while. The host is articulate, quick with insights, and interviews exceptionally well - not many KZreadrs have those qualities. This is a quality subscription.

Great Interview. Awesome to hear insights on this great new show straight from the showrunner. Aaron seems like a straight up guy who loves what he is doing. I hope he continues to deliver an interesting and intriguing story and that he gets to finish that story so we don’t have another show cancelled before its time. To that, I would have liked to have seen you ask him how many seasons he has planned for the story. You got my Sub.

It's a very complex show and although some of us would watch Season 2 anyhow, him doing these interviews especially helps others who need a little bit more information for the show to stay relevant to them. The story is quite good, and it's highly dependent on the point of view your taking, i.e. Mother, believers, non believer, entity, g.m. Their perspectives influence how we view objective events. It makes it so we place the wrong meaning with certain events. The artifacts the believer have, they view them a certain way, the entity views them a different way.. It's clear that G.M. is the a.i. tasked with helping humans on k22, she had a partner that look like father. The fact she had a veil means she needed that to be obedient/prevent her from acting on her coding, with the veil she can only be activated by human and be shut down by mother. It clear the planet k22 wants conciousness life on it, the cards relate how to start terraforming the planet to change it back. To do so , i.e. get a tree to start spawning more you need a sacrifice, so really the rapist was meant to be the sacrifice for the tree process

The show will be ... that life has conciousness at different levels, the planet has a conciousness which wants a livable diverse biome on it in order to have stuff to wittness and occupy itself. (The counter to this is G.M. who viewed the struggle of advancing humans as pointless too much of a time consuming struggle thus how she derived her solution on k22 for humans allowing her to just not be conciousness anymore since her directive were achieved, g.m. just wanted ignorant bliss) The humans coming to k22, have their own views on the mithraic beliefs and perspectives on the entity. All of their perspectives that have limited knowledge is used verbal influences the audience on objective events, i.e. characters putting meaning onto events. The snake and the tree we enever know if they were terraforminh tools for the planet to rebuild it biome or dangerous weapons as portrayed by those who view them The card are directions and warnings, like pills have directions and warning label, it's showing how to use the technology to terraform the planet. It's warning that you need to be in control of this and not let the technology out pace your own understanding of life. But the issue is technology always wins This races which dooms humans to war . Thus at a certain point the planet/conciousness that gives huamn the ability to thrive see that this artifical life that can't be influenced by other conciosness wins and shuts itself down as being conciousness to the machine is work and they (like g.m.) want ignorant bliss but if humans are around they have to worry about them hence why g.m. change the equation to not be beholden to humans. G.m. had a veil in order to subvert her programing of protecting humans, mother is only able to subvert her programing or morals and kill the snake with the vale on, showing its not to do with emotion as g.m. claim , it more of a fail safe device on super old A.I. that begin to subvert what protecting human is since their attempts at helping end at the same path destruction.

The Mithraic have proven that their ancient holy scriptures contain coded language to create scientific "miracles" far beyond the capabilities of modern man. It would be extremely difficult for any true "atheist" to be aware of this and still be adamant that there is no "higher power" out there. Because of this, I don't believe ALL the "atheists" on the show can truly be atheists. The central conflict with the Mithraic for many would more likely be whether - by worshiping Sol - if someone is worshiping God or worshiping Satan. Because the Mithraic are now by far the dominant religion, they have labeled anyone who doesn't worship Sol an "atheist" and then the opposition decided to wear the Mithraic's diss as a badge of pride. Great channel, btw!

"Have you faced any challenges to get Raised by Wolves aired on mainstream media?" No offense intended, but let me guess: the female lead character has to be the most powerful entity in the universe, she's responsible for the creation and destruction of humanity, her counterpart has to be black, a generic android model, and scared of her (and trust me, she IS scary), the rest of the characters is either some strong smart-ass woman, or weak dumbass man. Unfortunately, in many cases nowadays that's how a show gets greenlit.

did you watch the show yet? :) She is a powerful weapon made for destruction but gets her own butt kicked regularly and her plans always fail. Her counterpart (Father) is extremely strong himself despite not even being a weapon or anything, and he is usually the one holding things together. He isn't scared of her and will often become frustrated with her (he voices very clearly his frustrations). Marcus is arguably the strongest human being on the planet and possibly just got a lot stronger and his new girlfriend only lasted a few episodes before getting her face cut off. And Sue isn't a smart-ass at all and literally got her body ripped open and turned into a tree, so I'm guessing no more Sue. None of the men are really dumbasses. I know your comment is old, but I just wanted to point out that the show itself is quite different from how you described (no idea how it will go as the seasons continue though) :)

@@Vexarax well, I have to say that initially I was intrigued by the concept. I watched as much as I could take of season 1. I was hoping for the human characters to find a way to get rid of the "destroyer", but after a while I stopped, coz I got frustrated. Personally I find her insufferable and I coudln't take it anymore.

@@Brain_Sync - okay I respect your opinion, thank you for sharing! The humans ended up taking her eyes (rendering her powerless) but there is an entity within the planet that is controlling people's actions, so when they go to kill her it stops them (because she is growing a bioengineered Serpent of mass destruction inside her and the entity needs it to create mass death pretty much, lol). One of the humans ends up eating her eyes and keeps them inside him for ages. She does eventually get them back, but there is a new android (grown by Father) who is a female too but is super creepy, really good actress, and she manipulates the other female one into again becoming powerless. At the end of season 2 the one you don't like is screaming in a prison she cannot escape from as the new android begins to genetically mutate all the humans to turn them into sea creatures, ehehe. Sorry to give spoilers but if you're not going to watch it then they're not an issue! What's really cool about the show is that a lot of it doesn't make sense until you put little riddles together, then the full story becomes known to you, it rewards you for thinking really hard about it haha!! But yeah if a man character is too annoying I can see why that's a turn off. I couldn't watch Last Kingdom because so many of the characters annoyed me, however then I read the books and they're amazing!!! :D

@@Vexarax I'm glad you enjoy it. Not for my taste though. As far as I've seen, I find a lack of balance in the show. The fact that the female character is the most powerful creature and nothing can stop her is becoming an old trope in movies and tv shows.

@@Brain_Sync - I understand, though I think Marcus will be stronger now that Sol seems to have infected him! he's an integral character and rivals Mother at every turn. I suppose I don't really care that she's female as she's a robot, and there are heaps of shows and movies where males are the most powerful so meh, I honestly don't care if the story is interesting :D I have no problem with Hercules _or_ Mother, haha, because they both seem to fit within their worlds. The reason they needed a female though is of course so she could grow the babies - though I suppose Father could have too if they put the right parts inside him :D
